  1. dernit, been there each of the last three years, but never had conditions like this. I really hope to get there again this winter. Enjoy.
  2. It will get interesting this summer. Current coverage looks more like late-June than mid-May. Runs can still be made down the Mile, but the last 50' or so must be done on foot. Some other runs terminate higher up with no warning. The main snowfield looks fairly healthy, and I suspect the Westernmost lanes should last the summer.
  3. Dangit, some folks hoofed it for some early morning goods.
  4. I might make it up Jim. I'll drop you a text if I go.
  5. yes, I'm definitely at peace with my decision to stay home today.
  6. $865---ouch. I think my weekday pass was $199, and it was good for 7 months.
  7. Ya, I have an '02 Golf TDI and just turned 100,000 miles on the odometer. I've burned B99 for about 50k of those miles, so I think the older ALH engines are pretty forgiving as to what you fuel them with, and they're pretty easy to mod for a bit more power. I'd have a hard time going back to a petrol-powered car, because I've become so used to 700-mile tanks. If only VW would market an AWD version in the US.
  8. This is pretty much the worst of it.
  9. 178cm, not 172cm 4807 is in well used, but nice shape. The usual battle scars on the base, nothing too egregious. I did some P-texing, but somebody with more skill could improve upon what I did. Would love $225, plus actual shipping. F2 Roadster has 22cm waist. I believe the sidecut is 9. Includes solid plastic F2 bindings. Again, the usual scraps on the base, somewhat worse than the 4807. Nice beginner setup. Looking for $125 plus actual shipping.
  10. Ya, but I had to be at work by 2:00, so I didn't figure I had enough time to do any climbing. I was just planning on riding the lifts. I would think it would have been real nice up high. Without Palmer running, you would have been by yourself.
  11. I went to Timberline this am, but bagged it because of the crowds. $49 to wait in line for Pucci or the Mile didn't sound too good. I would think there would be a market for another early summer operation somewhere.
  12. I'll be in Asheville, NC in a couple weeks, please tell me it'll be more comfortable by then. This 50F in Portland is feeling pretty good.
