  1. Not my own experience but heard first hand; What I can share: It's HOME MADE... Good luck, RT
  2. Both box and board rack will be the best. If box positioned on one end there will be an empty space next to it that is wide enough for another shorter board rack which is help full for longer decks and after playin board can be position upside down and by the time you reach your place most if not all snow gone. With COMBI configuration might be better to position the box on top passenger side for better stable car if driving by your self. RT
  3. Any update on site snow condition in Whistler/Blackcomd? Thx RT
  4. Last day of 2011 and weather was cooperating  Man Made Powder did it's job. Firm Sugar Corduroy, snow hold in the morning. Play all day at JJA, try a few run on Midway and call it off around 1PM. Today's toy: Coiler PR179 & SG 185. SG the most stable deck, best ever. Met Geo and family, I lost you guys as I decided to switch to shorter board and never catch up again. Unexpectedly met Katsu (Yoshii's father). Boris & Luka + Allan came later on ski. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012 I'll see u guys next year. RT
  5. Email me: carvingchanel at yahoo dot ca RT
  6. On the chair with 3 kids; 2 Jibrs and a skier: Jibrs: What's that board? Me: Alpine board. (I tilt it up so he can see my HB) Jibrs: Cool... I saw you earlier from the chair... Jibrs: So..do you ride real snowboard? Me:...speechless yeah this also a snowboard.. RT
  7. Rod "Edgy" or Dave* have their own hidden play ground  might be steep but lot's of freshies. RT
  8. Thanks for sharing. We are lucky here at Cypress Mountain http://cypressmountain.com/ and we sudn't complaining for what we thought lack of snow (comparing the year b4). We've been riding on JJA since Nov 8 on mixed Man Made Powder + fresh snow which is best condition for HBer. Last Monday we had 30CM snow dump and now SBer can also enjoy. The Visibility might be an issue but at least the snow condition is real good. Snow, snow, snow. RT

  10. This Thursday will be sunny and more snow on Wednesday It takes a while to find the right set up with HB & plate on POW deck but I did finally. I've seen and follow Dave* aka YETI ;) - 250lbs on HB run between trees just like carving between gates, also BlueB, crucible with their agility of their feet on moguls and steep 45* terrain. RT
  11. Rod"Edgy" & me was there 09.00 Geo, I guess my Orange/Red jacket isn't bright enough...:p Same here two goggles change at the end no goggles seems the best. Tried all chairs but no luck with the visi:( good snow, fast snow, good coverage most...Kessler 180 carved so good but 2-3 turn stop slide - 2 turn stop slide - 3 turn stop slide all the way back to chair. Kessler way to fast for the low visi. Change Tanker 192. Edgy inform me that all the POW stash are "SUCKY" as he tried cut cross Upper Panorama to Lower Panorama. Last effort to find clear visi was at Humpty Dumpty, as I wait for the traffic to pass by I saw 2 almost colision between Jibbers in less then 2 min. Time to get out... Anyway Sarita & gang came at 12 Noon got parking at sec "C" : she just update that she was enjoying POW for 4 hours before they decided to pull out as rain start at 4PM...hmmm which site of stash did she enjoying... Cypress report at 4PM: Snowing mid mountain, rain in the base Snow report for Cypress: Thursday might be better as freezing level will be lower. RT

  13. Snow report: Snowing early morning till around 1PMish. Monday Dec 26: Im not doing the boxing madness: I'm going make some turn and BlueB might join...Anyone else? Geo? RT
  14. I've been looking at other similar brand (mothers etc), these might work for surfaces with very light scratches/haze. I'm not sure if it will work for deeper scratches. Novus is making sense to me since it offer 3 different kind where you have to use all of them and start from the highest number and finish it with the lowest number. But again I'm no expert. RT
  15. Get well soon. Same here, no info found specific for snowboard top sheet clear coat or related material, the only convincing I found is NOVUS Bought #1,2 & 3 but haven't use them yet. Let me know if you have other info, thx. RT
  16. All in the Code: 1. Always stay in control. You must be able to stop, or avoid other people or objects. 2. People ahead of you have the right-of-away. It is your responsibility to avoid them. 3. Do not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above. 4. Before starting downhill or merging onto trail, look uphill and yield to others. 5. ....
  17. Start around 10. Kaz & me only on the slope, can`t find Geo & others. Sunny, sugar on ice on some and and some soft spot here and there. Stay on JJA most, try Ashley McIvor once - hard and Icy. Stay till 1PM. Stance was set 0.5'' wider to 19.5'' not comfortable, will go back to 19.25''. One run on Coiler PR179, Kessler 180 all the way. Great board. Will do another run tomorrow with Kaz. RT
  18. Good luck, all the best. Hope one day you can switch and try Cypress. Will come visit you after new year. You might see Bryan and Doug. RT
  19. Not a great news..definetly need fresh snow :( Icy condition  we sud be fine with our Alpine decks and the best... most jibbers crying home ;) I'm off tomorrow...man my day's isn't adding :o RT
  20. I used to have same problem: Metal: Silicone spray that won't leave residue when its dry. Shell/Plastic: Candle. Rub it thoroughly to all plastic/rubber surface that slide against each other, include ankle straps. Did it last year (60 days) and no more squeeq till now. PAM - Good idea much easier to apply but never try. But the soles cake, wouldn't it be slippery? Thx RT
  21. If material is Polyethylene, yeah definetly will protect and easily glide. If you looking for rather thicker material instead special order a mat that isn't long enough to cover front & back inserts; U can go to Dollar Store/IKEA/Walmart & they're selling thin chopping board for way much lower $. CONS: - Need longer Screws, to have full bite of the inserts threads - Snow build up in between, if silicone cut wider Or if you need just to seperate between plate and board then you can use plastic JAM PAPER or REPORT PLASTIC cover that u can find also in Dollar Store/Staples. Hope this help, RT NOTE: If binding attach directly on top, there is potentially twisting the binding. So far TD bindings OK but I've seen other bindings twisted.
  22. Payment sent yesterday; 5 issues for YVR Carvers. Thx for making it real RT
  23. Are you thinking 4807, if yes... this model is pure POW for HBer. 3800 from POW to Carving. Cheers RT
