  1. Use your TD2 with AIR SUSPENSION It's not light but it's FLEXEY  On my POW decks I combine with TD3SW to get more flex out of stiff TDs This combination add height tho... but it gives you free steeper angle to turn before boot drag Hope this can help, RT
  2. It turn out to be almost a disastrous day for both me and xy9ine Good thing both of us are ok. I had a malfunction TD3 Toe Bail, luckily it happend on the bottom of Rainbow where I was already slowing down. One side of the threaded part came off from the lug, toe bail became loose and open by it self. My toys of the day was my fav Coiler 173 (thx to surlyguy for switchand ;) and AMT-177. Maybe xy9ine will post his story later and BlueB the complete story & pixs... RT

  7. Riders: Roddy, Kaz, Morgan, Yoshii & fam, "mystery" HBer & me. Toy's: SG BX 167, Ogasaka + POW board, KST180, Stubby 173:biggthump. Start early but Cypress groomers was overwhelmed with Friday snow dump. Lions only start at 9AM and Eagle at 9.15AM, staff even made us wait at the ticket checker fence near the lodge:freak3:. Snow conditions looks so yummy but the groomed soft corduroy was not holding, inconsistent all over the place, some area soft & deep that can sink half the board half of the turn thn the hardpack under layer throw board back into surface. Flat lite also to blame for my cartwheeling at mid JJ, kind of wreck my right shoulder as the landing impact point thx for the body armour it kind of soften the impact Rainbow wasn't groomed and Horizon was ok. Crazy Raven was bad this time, First Run wasn't groomed but Cayote was awesome but only two run before the traffic build up, an uncontrolled skier that almost hit the ski club staff indicate it's time to move to Midway. Midway was the best of all and by 11.30AM Midway start to soften... RT

  24. Got my pass that day and manage to test my gears for almost 3 hours. Met Roddy, Pan and Cousin's "wind surfers" gangs (Jerry and Cliff(?)) Toys of the day: Scooby - "Recycle" WinterStick 173 Roddy - New Asym Deck 158 (made by Nide Decker) Only Eagle chair is open and one "blue" run that was groomed. Maelle Ricker ("upper" Fork) continue all the way thru the steep hill down the narrow path and swing to South (left) where it connected side by side with lower "upper" JJA then you'll be forced to turn to West (right) right before ("lower" Fork) next to the Island (where the Bell park will be set up) then continue all the way down to "lower" JJA and connected back to "lower" Panorama back to Eagle chair. Mid JJA is fenced off half way on North side, bare "wide" spots with rocks is still seen next to "end" Trumpeter Traffic is pilling quickly on the "bottle neck" where the steep hill on Maelle Ricker turn to a narrow run. "Meat gates" are also formed on the steep hill - from looking for a lost cell phone, chit chat, sitting, softy that couldn't get up and try to slide on their butt and off course all these activities were formed in the middle of the run . Not to mention straight liners, jumpers, jibbers all piles up in one run. From "mid" JJA down is great. Snow is dense granule with hard pack base. Happy to be back to Cypress and no complain with the early opening condition... Confirmed and these rocks float and spread... At noon traffic increase but no line up - Weekend might be worse, so go early. RT
