  1. Will try for toyota day at Silver fri. the Posse will raid again:eplus2: Cold sunny cord & pow in the trees mon. morning at schweetzer, dress warm & bring some toe warmers.
  2. I got a lot of mention & compliments on the "gang of trench diggers" scaring up groomers. I think "grom trippin trenches" look like art work. Schwietzer's on wind hold today so that means powder in the trees tomorrow, Mike & anyone else who wants some bushwackin freshies get ahold of me in the morning, I'll be at the clock tower at 8:45.
  3. Good to have 1st hand report, I think you may get your moneys worth tomorrow over today. I'll probably go up any way since Becki's working (the begginer chair will run in the wind). lets keep posted this morn. Schwietzer on wind hold, shootin for sunny but cold Mon.
  4. went to the top this morning, total whiteout, serious braile conditions all day. did a few runs on chair 4 but the legs only lasted till noon, too many trenches fri. Tomorrow I'll try to hookup mike & tempt him to the dark side, Buwaawaaawaa:eplus2:
  5. I'll be at Schwietzer sun. & mon. Call me in the morning we'll see if weather looks good.
  6. on Schwietzer friday. The INW posse starts off with a great day in the sun, even though it ended riding by braile. 4 of us trenched up the best cruisers on the mountain witch were plentiful & well buffed. Time to plan the next raid. maybe Silver Mt next?? We'll hit all the local hills by the end of season:biggthump
  7. looks like a great exuse to make a split tail tanker. keep us posted on the project.
  8. 10:4 Steve. any body else coming up to Schwietzer give my cell a call or look for the funny bindings by the clock tower.
  9. The raichles are 27-27.5 shell, the liners are 27 in good shape for old boots. $160.00 shipped for the boots & 2 pair burton stepins.
  10. the boots do not have moldable liners, and are in very good condition. 12 yrs old used lightly 3 seasons I will use the liners myself in my Intec 124's if you don't want them. One pair of binders used lightly 1 season the other used for 3 season, If they weren't useable by me,(180#, 6ft, agressive rider) I wouldn't sell them to you. I couldn't replace my liners for $50, & $50 is cheap for extra bindings. I'll split the shipping with you, $10 & i'll cover the rest.
  11. That reminds me of good idea I'd forgoten about. I rented an apartment from a long time skier turned alpine boarder in '90. He always stored his Skis for the summer strapped at tip&tail with a 2x6 block between the binders, claimed this revitalized the camber every season. he did this w/boards too. His well used 10 year old skis still had camber. I'll remember to do that with my skis & boards this year.
  12. Let me know if I should drive my old toy PU for an extra ticket. Call my cell if you want.
  13. Steve, Toolcan, Idaho Mike, Check in here, two is not quite a posse.
  14. Great news Steve, Becki has to work those days so not sure if I can do both days but we'll see. I spent a season there in '90, only been there once since. We'll talk tomorrow. Is Pat Deneen still there?
  15. I learned to carve fakie on an asym alp, it has a little upturn, enough to not dig in. The prime however (much stiffer) has spanked me before so I can't commit to the carve with flat tail, Square w/upturn no problem.
  16. I'll be in the village by 8:15 walking the dog. get there early for good parking. alpine deli in the village has great coffee & a better breakfast sandwich. The groomers should be great but bring an all mtn board too. I'll be wearing the raichle's & orange hat. Everone give me a call in the morn on the cell 208-610-2169 & we'll touch base.
  17. the only way I got new gear was that she did too. Becki gets new gear every year & I usually get handmedowns:1luvu:
  18. I'm still wondering what good is a square tail???
  19. Oh, I thought this thread was about carving, my mistake:smashfrea
  20. looks like a helluva 200$ snow trap to me, 1 run in dense snow would negate the dampening effect.
  21. I feel the same way, I love to lay out a big carve, jump off the loaded tail, 180 & land backwards into the next carve of the series, lay out a few carves tail first & flip it back to foward carves w/out missing a beat. This feels awsome on any board with an upturned tail, down right scary on a square tail. It may be partially psychological but it doesn't take much of a wobble to dig that sharp corner in & eat it. That said, what is the benefit of a square tail, is there one? I really want a hard carving board but I want to be comfortable riding fakswitchie.
  22. great question, been wonder about that myself:confused:
  23. I have an old pair of raichle 124 in your size and 2 pairs of burton ratrap stepins that would be good to get you started. Boots and/or binders $50 a pair + shipping
  24. has anyone seen this tele board ridden fakswitchie?, I'm bidding on it but I really like to rideski backwards and that looks dangerous on that thing I may be better off on a noboard. I haven't used my tele boots on a board since '90, I really need to upgrade from the original terminators to the new terminatorX, no toe drag.
