  1. I've dug the tail of my prime into hard groom before riding swakie/fitch. If you want to link carves backwards you've got to initiate with the leading edge, as in the tail. If there's no upturn your gonna kiss the snow sooner or later:smashfrea
  2. does a square tail have any benifit at all for the recreational rider or skier???
  3. so that means its not "switch" for skis either? I carve switch on 1 stick or 2 and I still call it fakie. wich ever way I say it you know what I meant; backwards is groovy man:cool:
  4. If the rossi ain't dead it's probably worth 100$. Throw in the extra gear maybe we'll play musical boards after lunch. If you come to Schwietzer 11 times to pay for it, the sun-fri pass is the way to go, no messing with daily tix, strait to the lift. goin up again today since Becki's working, the snow was kill yesterday so the cord should be schweeeet this morning. I'll post a report this eve. HERO CORD with a healthy dose of UV mon. Lots of steep groom with long blue boulevards back to the lift. Cross your fingers that the weather pattern holds out till fri.
  5. TC, I know Mountain Gear carrys shorty approach skis but don't know the price, I think they come w/skins. Ive got an extra set of telepoles if you need them, they're not highend but 1/4 the price. This should be fun, get here early for parking & fresh tracks. It was packed today, every lot was full by 10:00 the snow is great even after it's chewed up. Got a few rays on the new triple & sunnyside both good fall lines.
  6. Thats cool Steve, Use my cell to keep in touch, I get good coverage except the bottom of the backside. I could bring my old toy pickup If any one needs a ticket. gonna go up & get some UVs, I hope.
  7. Oh what a feeling, to hook up a carve pull the g's & drop it over the other way!!! INWHardboot posse sounds like fun. Maybe we can raid a few mountains around here over the winter. A rotating mini session road show:biggthump Sound good for fri. Our winter carnival starts that night & toyota day can be busy so the best parking will be gone by 8:30. We'll want to be ready for the lift start at 8:50 to get the freshest cord. people will be giving out passes for your toyota in the parking lots. Call my cell after 5 am we can coordinate & I'll have a weather report. http://www.schweitzer.com/mountain/ Heres the link to check it out.
  8. HOLY CRAP!!! low flying aircraft & high flying kites don't mix well. it looked like he was able to release, did he live??
  9. great stuff, WB,JT,JM and many others, the succinct explanation of highly technical movment concepts that occur in a split second is something very valuable that is even hard to find in coaching clinics. BOL is an incredable resource, thanks to all who help push our niche into the mainstream:biggthump
  10. dang, a good deal only lasts a few minutes around here. VIVA GVP:lol:
  11. 159 is a little short 4 me & the quiver's full on the low end
  12. Lucky me. the only difference between the 123 & 124 is the 4th buckle rather than 3+strap. I think they're the softest flexing boots out there & intec compatible unlike 3 buckle AT's.
  13. You shoulda kept the 124 raichle intecs, I'm lovin'em I like did my old 123's:1luvu:
  14. That sounds great. If you,ve got the ten bucks the village lot is easy acsess, if not drive up to the paid lot & take the road to the right, it goes to the next lot below the village from there you can walk up to the village or ride down from there & take the begginer lift back up to the middle of the village the clock tower is right there when you get off the lift. My cell is 208-610-2169, I can meet you in the lot or I'll be at the clock tower at 8:45 lifts start at about 10 to 9:00. Any body else out there? the groomers'll be great & I can find us a powder stash too.
  15. Man, missed it by 1 min, what a bunch of hoovers:boxing_sm
  16. There's some catek os1 stepin on the for sale board right now. Exellent binders w/adjustable cant & lift built in
  17. Hey Gus, I'd like to meet up with you fri. We're supposed to get some cold sunshine next week, the groomers'll be hero snow. Bring the whole quiver & both pairs of boots & I'll help you dail in:biggthump
  18. So Curtis, you gonna use that 168 madd for a bench at ses???
  19. I've got a 5.7 and a 6.2 factory prime goofy asym Also older mistral extasy drilled for 5 hole burton rails.
  20. I want that madd 168 at least 2nd in line
  21. That sucks Steve, I'll ask about a group deal tomorrow when I go up. I think they do a $99 pp slope side lodging & lift ticket, w/ pool & hot tub. the hotel menu is expensive but there are other food options for a small group. Are you thinking 10-15 people? I can probably arrange a demo tent. lets keep in touch.
  22. That would mount the binder to the cant, but the cant only mounts to burton boards.
  23. I've got an old burton 6* cant plate but its 3X3 center disc.
