  1. binder sale pending, osin pics coming soon
  2. The wife says thin the quiver. Great powder setup for 150-190# rider. bought the standard binders to setup 2 boards but went all intec stepin and didn't use them; $80 shipped sold thanks Paul the '06 3800 was new this year has 7-8 days on it, a couple early season nicks & scratches, nothing a tune up won't fix; $200 shipped pic later tonight. money order or paypal Board is sold thank you Powell
  3. I've got a pair of burton stepin race plates lightly used 1 season, $60 shipped
  4. +1 on bump practice +1 on branch pivots Knowing you stop instantly when it gets tight brings the confidence you need to get into tighter & tighter areas. Pulling yourself through some branches to find a slot with 5-10 perfect pow turns is way better than a winning scratch ticket. I did this yesterday on the newly replaced 173 ID, over & over. I flatten my angles about 10-12 degrees on the wider am boards wich gets me a little more torsional control for quick initiations, and ride way backof center to dig in the tail. Seen on a helmet on a powder day at Sqaw NO BONOS
  5. The 173 Identity got here Mon. morning, All mt. powder board extrordinair. Sorry I couldn't make it to big fish to pick it up, but it would pale compared to a 178 carbon Garage. Everybody should tell John to build some more PLEEEASE!!!!
  6. Helmet cam sounds like good fun, count me in for a dvd. Do I really look like a monoskier??? Will you have a hand held also, I'm a good camera man but only have a digital still. I'll try to get away on Sat. but most of the Schwietzer crew has to work Fri. night or Sat. so some have to leave early. Any chance of Group rates?? Russ & Tonya, Becki & I, & Sean from marketing will be there Fri. morn.
  7. is only gonna get happier with new cateks. Thats good to hear, I can relate to the gear budget pinch. Becki has a clinic on feb. 24th at 49*N. thats a sunday so maybe you can show me the best runs to carve then. that'll give you some time to dail in the new binders. Today was really really good, the 173 Identity I got to replace my broken one kicked a$$ in the soft bumps & choped crud, as well as the pow in the trees. The 169 3800 is goin up for sale cause the Identity out preforms it in all conditions.
  8. My 186 grocer is a lot older but I rode the sit out of it on plates. carved great till the camber started to go (too many cliff drops in Alpetal backcountry) Had I not blown the gear budget I'd have replaced it w/NOS I came across 2 of them in the last couple months. the big lib's are a great board but not the longevity of a tanker. I still think magna trac's a gimmick, but everyone I've talked to loves thiers.
  9. Sun. morning a foot of fresh tracks but I've got to blow driveway to get out. hope they leave me some
  10. I could replace the designer black tape with actual metal duct tape, that'd be ghetto and make the jacket more damp, that's a good thing right???
  11. What percentage of 3in black duct tape on the ripped seams can I get away with before it becomes dangerous to rub my elbows on the groomer ???
  12. Sweden circa 1427, Sven broke 1 of his skinny snowshoes while checking the beaver traps so he put the other leather strap onto the unbroken ski and slid back down to the cabin to carve a new one.
  13. Wed. was great turns, tempered with an occasional beer in the sun. Mike; we can try to meet up again at Schwietzer, otherwise I hope to see you at silver on the 8th. :D
  14. Great news Steve, rode with toolcan & Russ today on fast groomers. Russ is gonna car pool 4-5 of us in the suburban from Sandpoint area to Silver on the 8th, not sure if we can make it both days though as most have to work Sat. May take two cars, we'll see. I won't make toyota day saving the gas for the 8th. If we can get an annual INW session going that'd turn my crank. Sweet turns in the sun today. looking forward to Silver Mt expression session the 8th
  15. 8:45 at the clock tower is early enough for 1st chair. no crowd, free parking in the village & PBR or icehouse for the pockets as the shack on top only opens weekends but the deck was warm in the sun this afternoon.
  16. Hey toolcan, want some sunny cold cord??? Any body else?? I"ll go up early if you want bluebird cord. This after noon was good, Sunny BYOB on the top shack deck.
  17. sold the binders off the mistral to waypastfast but if you want the deck (no damage, decent camber, could use a tune) $50.00 shipped, email me if you want it. excuse the jack Shred
  18. lay it over baby, 1 stick or 2
  19. Sorry I missed you Mon Mike. On our way out the driveway I discovered the wind had drifted in three ft deep for 50 yrd or so. It took me over an hour to blow it clear. missed a lot of fresh tracks & had to use my secret stashes. TC I can make it up Wed. should be sunny & good carving. Will try for toyota day at Silver, depends how the week shakes out
  20. these are burton stepin race, affectionatly known as rattraps By those who have not caught they're finger in one:eek: The carrier stepin has a cammed heel clip that flips up when stepped into, the "rattraps" have a spring loaded heel bail.
  21. Powder in the trees, courdaroy in the sun, chill in the air, Bring the pow board, warm gloves & maybe a face mask. NOAA snotel on top says we're up to 4* Might get to twenty this afternoon, winds are light 5-6 mph The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow, gives the promise of bluebird to all those who show. Clock tower by 8:40 new friends on a powder day;) Are ya coming up mike?
