  1. Some of them supposedly are. I just asked the same question last week. So, do a search. Anyway, I ordered a set of heels from Bomber and should have them next week, then I'll know for sure...I'll let you know...
  2. Sorry all, but I had to share some photos of my new little girl, Veronica! She came into this world this past Saturday, at 9lbs 5ozs, 21in...
  3. Sorry Fin, I just opened my eyes and read the first line on the Bomber store page..."New Stock Will be Available in November." Can I still add the TD1 retro kit to my cart and checkout? Or, should I wait until they are in stock?
  4. Thanks to all for the info! Hey Fin, when will the TD1 retro kits for intecs be available? Should I put an order in now, or wait? The store site says they are sold out until the fall... Any one know about converting SnowPro RACE LTDs to intec compatible?
  5. Will intecs work with Burton Wind (I think) boots? They are the blue red and clear shelled Burtons (blue liners), I am guessing they are of 2001 or 2002 vintage...they have removable heels. Can you still use intec heels in standard bindings? Thanks in advance! Ben
  6. sorry bad post...I would have deleted it...but I can't...
  7. I may not be part of the Btown crew, but I am in CT, pretty close...and I have been known to go up to Boston...so...what is Redbones?

    I did not buy it...
  9. Any updates on ECES? Has anyone taken over the reigns from Jack? I would love to help out and do some of the work, but with a baby due in less than 4 weeks, time is going to be tight!

Shaggy, I Sent you an email/PM... Ben
  11. Sorry...bump... Can anyone confirm or deny what I listed previously as the sepcs for my HeavyTools? I would love to know for sure what I am riding so I can compare it to other boards that I try...thanks!
  12. Sito, I love the tanker...but it has a specific place in my quiver...I use it if I am already in hardboots and want to... * play in the woods / off piste * ride fresh powder * ride slush and crud I will also put my softboot bindings and palmer power plates on it and ride softboots if I intend to snow shoe it somewhere... It is quite an amazing board actually...and it loves powder! It also is pretty quick to turn in New England's tight woods...[edit...let me rephrase that...it has a tight turn at 9m for our typically tight woods...from a hardboot perspective it takes for ever to go edge to edge, but from a softboot perspective it seems pretty good edge to edge...]
  13. Here is a pic of what I believe to be a HeavyTools Lizard. Does anyone have info on it? I believe it is a 1998 173cm x 19cm x 9m board. Also in the pics is my 2003 RadAir Tanker O/S for comparisons...it is 187cm x 25.8cm x 9m... Any more info would great! PS...I love the heavytools...with my mondo 31.5, on a 19cm board! Here are higher res pics... Pic#1 Pic#2
  14. As a relatively new carver, I can't offer expert advice, but I love the board. To me, it seems pretty stiff, built well, and is fun to ride! Anyone else have some input on HeavyTools boards?
  15. I've got a HeayTool board...I don't think it's a "driver." I believe it is a "lizard." It has a picture of a skull on the nose, and snowcat on the rear. I bought it used and I was told it was 173cm long, 19cm waist, and a 9m radius. Other than that, I know nothing about HeavyTools. Maybe I'll post a pic of it and see if anyone else knows anything, you should do the same...
  16. Tommy D, where do you autox in CT? About 6 years ago I was part of CART, and ran my burgandy 3000GT VR4...then my tranny went, and I sold her. Now, I've got the bug again, but I am not sure my wife would let me start up again...I miss that car...all wheel drive and all wheel steering... Here she is before dropping her 2", giving her new shoes, and new brains, numerous engine mods...and getting her on the track...
  17. How far is it / how long is it by car, from Denver out to Aspen Valley? I've done the Denver to Silverthorn area many times, but I don't remember how far it is out to Aspen... I've got frequent flyer miles, and friends who live in Denver, so I may be able to do this cheaply, if it's not a 4 hour ride each way... Anyone know realistically how long it takes to drive? Sure, I can look it up on mapquest or yahoo maps, but I am looking for a "I've done that drive before and it takes X hours..." answer. Or, is a daily bus ride possible? (I can't believe I am considering a bus ride, I guess I really want to go...) The catch is that my wife (who skiis once a year) and our new born will join me, but they will stay in Denver with our friends while I head out to ride...maybe I can get away with 1 night out at Aspen...instead of driving back and forth. I am from CT, so driving 3 hours each way to go skiing is not a big deal to me... Thanks!
  18. Critical Condition rocked, I just saw my tape the other day while cleaning out an old box of stuff...the best is the Nick Perate (I think it was him) interview while driving his car, after/during the footage of him hitting the rock pile...I still cringe just thinking of that scene... "stiches, here (points to forehead(, stiches here (points to back of head), stiches here (points to top of head), broken teeth, etc..., then he pauses looks at the camera and says "memory loss..."(in "wasted stoner sounding" voice)" Steve Graham's leg break on that tree looked like it hurt too... If I have time, maybe I'll get some of those scenes onto my computer and post them out on the web for you all...
  19. Me and Mr. Don King...from Madame Toussad's wax museum in Vegas...no good riding shot of me, yet... The wax museum is really cheesy sounding, but it's pretty funny while your there... Here is the whole shot: Me and the "Boss:" Yup, you guessed it...
  20. So, what does the Farmer's Almanac say for the first snowfall in New England??? I'm getting antsy and it's not even August yet...
  21. I agree, Anandtech is a great site...
  22. Steve, you might have to share with Geoff...congrats! Great shots all week! Ben
  23. First of all, a giant thanks to all of those who made ECES happen!!! This was the best thing that could have ever happened to my riding. Until this past week I had never even ridden with another hardbooter. And thanks to all of you who gave me tips on how to improve my riding...if this was only January, instead of March...I want to ride for several more months, not weeks...I learned more in 3 days riding than I ever thought I could...I even got a taste of what a real lay down carve feels like...talk about really being hooked now... I plan on heading somewhere in VT or NH on 03/19 and/or 03/26 to ride, if anyone wants to join me...let me know...I am flexible as to what mountain I head to... Thanks again to all who helped make ECES happen, and to all those I met while there... Ben S. (not Schurman, but the tall one)...
  24. I like my Garmin Rino 120, it has both FRS and GRMS, plus a mapping gps.
