  1. bonjour thierry! email me at steve@teamronin.com and we'll get this going. where in canada are you?

  2. holy crap. 168 - sold 178 - on hold for johnny burton - on hold for shannon cateks - pm'ing you now thierry
  3. hi there! long time. thanks to several factors (grumpy knee, change in careers, etc) - i've been off the hill for a couple seasons. I hate having gear sit and not be enjoyed by at least someone. here's what i got available: Volkl RT 178 - lightly used, couple dings on the tip and side, base is awesome, binding marks on topsheet. this thing is a blast to ride. Imagine all the springy fun of the 168 with 10 extra centimeters to make it faster. includes Bomber bag Volkl RT 168 - this was my "face hurts from grinning" board. come out of a turn, stomp on the tail and it would completely lift out of the snow! everything you have heard about this board is true. great condition, couple dings and binding marks. includes Bakoda bag Burton Factory Prime 185 - this is custom race stock from the Burton Factory. it has a LOT of damping in the layers. it's beat to hell - i'm pretty sure you will not get another edge dressing out of it. But lord, is it a stupidly fun board to ride. imagine a couch doing 100mph. i will pretty much throw this board in with the first thing bought for the price of additional shipping/packing ($25 with board, $50 with bindings) Catek Step-in Bindings I'm keeping one board (my custom Coiler 169 All-Mtn with a mixed TD bindings), but don't really need a 2nd set of bindings. these are Catek Step-ins. I'm not sure if i have the non-step in parts, I don't think so. Pretty sure those are bomber cant plates in the upper left...those are available as well. Ok...i have no idea what the current pricing for gear, so make me an offer on anything above - shipping to CONUS and Canada will figured at purchase so i can combine and save you money if possible. I would like to see at least $250 apiece for the Volkl's, $125 for the cateks but we'll see what the market will bear. local pickups can be available for Ottawa, Boston, NYC but I need to know ASAP! thanks again and i won't lie - i have missed this community.

    Tattoos

hi! tattoos? oo wee! i have a couple (about to finish my 2nd wrist to shoulder sleeve) - grandmothers and small children love them. if you want'em, get'em. if you don't...then don't. (pls forgive my expression - 8 hours of shooting and i needed a shot for a mag article) 2 recent ones: yeah - i didn't ride at all last year thanks to a vicious fall in whistler which tweaked my ankle all to hell...thought the first day of the season was the same as the last day of the previous season. shot a lot of amina last year - 4 magazine covers...if you didn't know her, you would have no idea she is missing a leg. she rides a motorcycle, goes up stairs faster than i do, plays ice hockey (goalie) and gets more stuff done than about anyone i know. speaking of amina and bikes: teamrockstarimages.com-vroom! i'm pulling out my boards this week and trying to get up to VT to have my boots re-thermo'd and get a day on the hill. yay! steve
  5. ok - just spoke to the sugarloaf people... i won a 3 day ski/stay mid-week package (hopefully for next season!) and that shot will be on the cover of the last sugarloafer printed this season (next week?) i am getting a copy of it from sugarloaf, but would like a couple more - and i'm sure photoboy geoff would like one as well. could any sugarloafer ping me offline and we can work out mailing details for a couple copies of the sugarloafer? thanks! steve btw geoff - you suck. my ducati is back to being covered and inert.
  6. well, damn. this ends an almost perfect day: - snowboarded at camelback on a free pass with great snow and blue skies - went and visited my motorcycle in valley forge and got to sit on it and make "vroom vroom" sounds - just shot the calendar girl contest at club ritual in Long Island and come home to drink a beer and check my email...and find this. that so rocks! i'll let y'all know what i have won...i guess the next round of beer is on me, geoff. cheers! steve
  7. well, we waited 13 months for last year's shots (which rocked btw)...you are aware, if you had turned your back for a second arthur - that 70-200 L lens of yours would have been in my bag and heading south! <g> sadly, i have to say, the ONLY time i was in front of a camera this time - i blew out on heelside...oh well. hey arthur - can you ping me with your friend's email re: the battery pack?
  8. heh, no friends or photoshoots on powder days indeed...:D lots of fun doing laps on timberline in the fresh pow with y'all... re: the skier...i was in the middle of waiting for the next set of riders on hayburner - saw this kid just killin' it, had to take a shot. ready for the punchline to all this? sugarloaf was having a photo contest this week and i entered the first 3 shots i posted (chris, geoff and jack with group) as well as a shot of a patroller and his helmet (below)...got an email today from sugarloaf that i was a finalist and they will let me know what i have won later this week! so thanks again for a great weekend! cheers! steve btw baka - i like that shot as well...gonna pull a good version of that one soon.
  9. todd was killing it when i saw him - he rode like a king on spillway. http://teamronin.com/eces everything is posted and live - 450+ shots. the friday shots are ok and should clean up well in post-processing for printing. btw jack - i could never get a nice shot like that with my old digital (nikon 995), that's why i had to upgrade. thanks for a fun weekend...i have to get a pic of willy's dead 167 split up in the this thread later. cheers! steve
  10. http://teamronin.com/eces prices on index page. remember the prints will look more like these shots and not like the gallery shots. friday's should be up tomorrow am... cheers! steve
  11. some galleries are up (not thursday or friday riding shots)... http://teamronin.com/eces i don't have the print pricing info (our T1 went down for a couple hours this morning and i am still playing catch-up at work) or the last 2 galleries built. the images in the gallery are quick and dirty thanks to post-processing automation and scripted gallery creation. they aren't cropped either...the ones in this thread are cropped, color corrected and almost ready to be sent to be printed. every image that will be printed will be post-processed by hand... haven't decided to keep or kill the "proof" watermark. looking like it's going away cuz these sample images are small and med quality. thanks to everyone for the kind words and patience while i ran around with a camera all week. stay tuned. cheers! steve
  12. i started on a 7.1 1998 alp. what a fun board. very sad when i pulled the back binding out at camelback. cheers! steve
  13. helmut karvlow on hayburner...
