  1. Nerva sound right, though it is before my time
  2. You carve you carve you carve, never skid not even on ice... ^who was it that said that? was I even born then? idk, i hate having to skid, but i do it cuz i suck still:freak3: mainly when im out of my comfort zone going fast on a small board in icy conditions at night without having seen anybody since i started down the mountain... creepy:barf:
  3. ^he did better, he got his old one fixed like new (with some damage to the topsheet from the big old press). Interested to see the scars and pics of how it rides! Good to hear they really stand behind their stuff.
  4. Id like to see a video of this board in action so we can really determine what's going on with the reverse camber and how it initiates and responds in turning. What I can only imagine is that the response is poor and it "turns like a shorter board" simply because the tip and tail do not engage and so you have a significant amount of dead weight. I feel this board's concept could have been achieved more effectively by putting a large sidecut on a smaller board and giving it a little rocker in the nose... wait a minute, that sounds familiar:confused:
  5. I rode with these guys, from what ive seen it makes carving a piece of cake. not too many moving parts from what i remember, didnt seem that prone to failure but im no engineer.
  6. The design is what is similar, a simple plate with a gummy urethane underneath, the offset center disk holes for maximum angle adgustability/repeatability and the simple little slanty blocks that dont really work too well for cant and lift.
  7. You shoulda saved for some TD3s... maybe next summer? Youre a lightish kinda guy, so as long as you dont stuff it the bindings should work for a while. anyway glad to hear youre doing better on the RT. Okemo's got a pretty sweet deal this sunday (im busy here, but if i wasnt id be heading up to ride) you should check it out, lots of space (if theyve made/had enough snow) to let the RT roam.
  8. its supposed to rain/snow today, probably going to be icy tonight and tomorrow night but might be good durring the day on saturday
  9. browsing some of my favorite sites this morning, i noticed Pogo Snowboards and Longboards celebrated their 25th anniversary! Congrats to some seriously dedicated custom boardmakers. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kx8ZU4d4B98&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kx8ZU4d4B98&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

who'd you hear that from? surprisingly i think my knees are usually too close which is a problem I was trying to correct at the end of first season (with spectacular carves resulting, i might add), looks like maybe i was thinking about that and overcorrecting this time? I dunno, hopefully ill have better pictures next time that dont look so goofy

colntkemp is right. definately came out strange. And a plausable conclusion with the wind (which was going at a brisk pace of ~16mph that day) id mainly call it awkward start though as i didnt really get it together until the end of the day.

Heres one of me yesterday, opening day at Jiminy. My first run on the alpine board (I had been riding the longboard while my girlfriend was getting used to her new skis) and it was a little wierd trying to get used to it, but by the end of the day I think i pretty much got everything back. I hope I can get out next weekend, its all up to the weather and my workload:confused:
  16. Are we looking at an Official demo tent this time?:D
  17. Id have a pogo longboard 180 wit da double concave for powder Id have a donek metal custom axis with a skinnier waist and a larger sidecut (20.5cm-ish and 14M) for most of my riding Id have a new pogo overdose or madd 158 for night riding id have a prior 4WD 154 as my beginning/end of season slush/mogul/rock board. Agggh! thats one too many... i guess i can cut out the rock board if im rich, i can just get new boards each year! Oh, and thered be TD3s on them all. And id have Deeluxe T700s.
  18. Arrgh! you suck at timing, I'm gonna be there Saturday with a 5% chance of being there sunday too:freak3:
  19. woah, really shallow reef. I wouldnt risk it
  20. the only thing i can think of is a converter plate i remember burton used to sell... would this be it? http://www.burton.com/Gear/Default.aspx#/gear/productdetail/mens/binding-accessories/10519/207518997/ Im not sure if itll fit right though or work well with hardboots.
  21. they come with the liners? have they been molded? hell of a deal!
  22. depends how deep the crack is. If its just the topsheet, its rideable but eventually the core might get wet and start to rot, depending on how deep the crack is. if its a cracked board then you got issues... pictures are needed.
