    will it handle 250 lbs?
  2. I got that bit of info from a bootfitter in ski shop. perhaps he is not familiar with the name change. He merely stated that he could no longer get the raichle inserts as they had stopped making them. I didn't even think to ask about the deeluxe.
  3. sort of makes one think a little doesn't it? I may not need a definitive link established to not want to give this stuff to my kids.
  4. <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=4 width="100%" bgColor=#ffffff border=0><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top>1. Autism Declines As Vaccines Remove Mercury A new study shows that autism may be linked after all to the use of mercury in childhood vaccines, despite government's previous claims to the contrary. An article in the March 10, 2006, issue of the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons shows that since mercury was removed from childhood vaccines, the alarming increase in reported rates of autism and other neurological disorders (NDs) in children not only stopped, but actually dropped sharply - by as much as 35 percent. The new study confirms claims made by Dr. Russell Blaylock in the Blaylock Wellness Report that childhood vaccines that contain thimerosal, a mercury based preservative, could cause serious harm to children, including autism. Dr. Blaylock has also warned that vaccines for adults, such as the flu shot pose dangers. See more details - Go Here Now. Using the government's own databases, independent researchers analyzed reports of childhood NDs, including autism, before and after removal of mercury-based preservatives. Authors David A. Geier, B.A. and Mark R. Geier, M.D., Ph.D. analyze data from the CDC's Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) and the California Department of Developmental Services (CDDS) in "Early Downward Trends in Neurodevelopmental Disorders Following Removal of Thimerosal-Containing Vaccines." The numbers from California show that reported autism rates hit a high of 800 in May 2003. If that trend had continued, the reports would have skyrocketed to more than 1000 by the beginning of 2006. But in fact, the Geiers report that the number actually went down to only 620, a real decrease of 22 percent, and a decrease from the projections of 35 percent. This analysis directly contradicts 2004 recommendations of the Institute of Medicine which examined vaccine safety data from the National Immunization Program (NIP) of the CDC. While not willing to either rule out or to corroborate a relationship between mercury and autism, the IOM soft-pedaled its findings, and decided no more studies were needed. The authors write: "The IOM stated that the evidence favored rejection of a causal relationship between thimerosal and autism, that such a relationship was not biologically plausible, and that no further studies should be conducted to evaluate it." As more and more vaccines were added to the mandatory schedule of vaccines for children, the dose of the mercury-based preservative thimerosal rose, so that the cumulative dose injected into babies exceeded the toxic threshold set by many government agencies. Mercury is known to damage nerve cells in very low concentrations. The concern about vaccines may actually be underrated, as it is generally acknowledged that the voluntary reporting of such disorders has resulted in vast underreporting of new cases. For example, the Iowa state legislature banned thimerosal from all vaccines administered there after it documented a 700-fold increase in that state alone. California followed suit, and 32 states are considering doing so. Up until about 1989 preschool children got only 3 vaccines (polio, DPT, MMR). By 1999 the CDC recommended a total of 22 vaccines to be given before children reach the 1st grade, including Hepatitis B, which is given to newborns within the first 24 hours of birth. Many of these vaccines contained mercury. In the 1990s approximately 40 million children were injected with mercury-containing vaccines. The cumulative amount of mercury being given to children in this number of vaccines would be an amount 187 times the EPA daily exposure limit. The Geiers conclude that mercury continues to be a concern, as it is still added to some of the most commonly-used vaccines, such as those for flu. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
  5. I think 1990 or 1991 the first year they were Assym would be preferable. Blue and white with the five hole pattern. I had one brand new as my first alpine board and would like to have one for old time sake. Shhhh I might even ride it once in a while:ices_ange
  6. raichle has quit making the heat mold liner I'm told but there are lots of Intuitions out there readily available. I think they are a better liner anyway
  7. got one in regular sorry. there was a goofy on ebay last month and when I search them they show up semi regularly on ebay. For the ride check out a rad air soulcarve they are the same dimensions just stiffer a little easier transition from what I saw you riding in december. oh yeah the PJ 's on the BAY have been under fifty bucks
  8. do you still have the vintage M6? I have a regular PJ7 that is a great play around board shows its age alittle but quite fun and functional. I started on the first assym M6 and would love to have one for old time sake.
  9. in order to verify they deposit 2 small amounts in your account say 35 cents and 23 cents you look at your statement and tell them how much the amounts were. I can't see how it makes a difference to a seller. mostly it would protect the account holder from someone using their account. I think its fluff personally claim the money and its yours. Its just a bank like any other it just has marketing challenges due to its nontraditional approach. IT has to use some of the stuff just to make people feel comfortable. and yes to the paypal haters out there they will take a cut like any bank there are small fees. just the price you pay for convenience. take the money and run send your package you are good to go.
  10. I was listening to a bootfitter yesterday talking to someone about this very subject. He said that lots of times its done without heat or not enough as a temporary measure to see if it will work. He also said some fitters will do it without heat because its quicker and they can get rid of you if they are busy. so either bad bootfitter or he was trying it out and hoped you would follow up for permanent fix if it worked. My guy says that working incremantally is best one small change at a time will result in a better fix. but check up on it they may have shined you on a little
  11. I know a lot of MD's that don't vaccinate their own kids. ITs the numbers and when they look worse taking the shot than not taking it , Its hard to make the choice to give it to your kid. especially when the other side is spouting propaganda. My personal favourite public service announcement is four babies playing on a black backround. four different races all in diapers. a very serious deep voiced announcer says "one in four children in the US is not vaccinated. Your child could get a deadly disease" What Rot if the darn things work than the unvaccinated child is the one at risk not the vaccinated ones. I know they'll defend it saying it was intended to scare me into vaccinating my children but it views clearly as intending to get vaccinated children's parents to freak out and cause trouble for unvaccinated families. way low blow in my book. If the facts where there why use scare tactics in the first place? Another one was a three year old on a tricycle riding down the yellow line on a highway with trucks whizzing past on both sides. I don't remember the dialogue but talk about classic propaganda. scare the hell out of the little people so they will do what you want them too. This thread has been moved to the off topic section for those of you who haven't noticed. We are clogging a thread intended to comfort and poke fun at a fellow boarder wounded in action. Since I started this off topic adventure its my duty to try and get it moved to the appropriate venue. go to off topic threads and vaccination debete continues
  12. truck lanes needed badly. when I was living in SC you couldn't get on or off the freeway without risking your life the trucks were bumper to bumper and it was like some kinda daisy chain with the last one in line always passing the rest of them and clogging up the whole interstate. Like they get where they are going any faster:smashfrea
  13. I've played with biodiesel. a little more for power generator than for a truck. fifty gallon drum full of any vegetable oil prefiltered. a quart of alcohol and a cup or so of lye. give it a good stir with a paddle and let it sit till it seperates into glycerin and fuel. works great a little faster if you heat it with heat tape around the barrel. the biggest gain is in engine life the lubricant properties are better by far than the low sulphur stuff at the pump. we run it in a single cylinder china diesel engine attached to a generator. relatively free power. I have seen ready made setups you can buy on line to do a more precision job and get better yield etc. Also a conversion to the motor that will let you burn vegie oil without converting it. I got no problems running normal fuel I just hate paying three bucks a gallon for it:eplus2:
  14. I gotta go with halfpipe not being sport per say. In point of fact I have trouble looking at baseball as a sport too. my definition would come down to having to make on the spot decisions that may or may not be attainable depending on skill and conditioning. strategy not withstanding. baseball is more like chess lots of strategy and such, but not a lot of balls out exertion, thus its a game as is golf. some things don't fit well in either category and halfpipe is one of those. I would say for the most part its done for the sole pleasure of doing. No score just the rider the board and the pipe. self satisfaction being the main goal. the best example is the attitudes of some of the olympians. the gal who won fourth place sisn't medal but she put up some air that looked to rival shaun white, a first in womens halfpipe. I would bet she is not unhappy about losing a medal position over it. This attitude bleeds in to the other board sports as well. Our darling silver medalist boarderxr pulls a method for the sheer joy of it and loses gold. She didn't seem to care until the media jumped down her throat over it. If getting to be called sport means having the media and the spectators take all the fun out of it then who needs to be called a sport. The girl who won boardercross gold has a tin trophy. She knows she got beat.
  15. are you talking about the metal insert for a plastic cant? if so I would be interested in one
  16. which ones do you have three or four hole? I need one three hole and two fourhole.
  17. good point I will cancel my therapy session at once. if the tail and nose angles are parrallel to your feet you got it right. they were origianlly designed to keep the edge length the same from toe to tail as from heel to tail. an early attempt at stopping the skidding. Really its just an oldschool thing like driving a 69 camaro its not 2005 performance but it has its own feel and its own cool. you will still want to get the new ferrari but don't count out a cruise in the old musclecar. the tail should be longer on your heel side. depending on the board your angles should somewhat approximate the tail angle as well.
  18. they are not mandatory but that is the popular conception! The average uninformed joe is force fed media intended to make him think its mandatory. Most people think that they are mandatory to get into school. they are not in any state. every state does have a different law but there is at least one waiver in each state.
  19. Thats what I have been saying. the first two years are brain growin'years. Lets do it without neurotoxins. If you decide to vaccinate spread them out so as to give the immune sytem time to recover a little. you don't want to overload the bodies ability to filter toxicity either. I reccomend those who do choose to vaccinate check risk factors like how likely they are to be exposed vs the likely hood of side effects. Quite often your child has little or no risk of exposure until they are older or go overseas. many people choose to wait until time to send them to school etc before revisiting the issue. Some recomendations are just silly too. if the main reason for immunizing against said disease is to prevent an infected mother from causing in vitro birth defects why give a vaccine at birth to boys at all and at birth to girls who often lose the immunity before reaching child bearing age? Seems smarter to give that particular shot at say 15 or 16. Not a lot of thought has gone into most of it other than profit as far as I can see.
  20. Hi my name is D and I ride an assym. It all started years ago when I was having family problems over skiing technique. I found a burton M6 and I was hooked. I have tried to quit and have spent hours on this board recieving counseling but I just can't it so much damn fun. Really I am saving up for a ""real"" board and all but I just can't see not sneaking an asym hit once in a while. I am eccentric to.
  21. Wasn't that a movie a while back?? I ride A wide stiff GARAGE freeride board made locally with my burton reactors and some F2 standards. the only caveat is you have to move the bindings forward a little and keep your heels and toes right out at the edge. the angles are lower than they would be on a alpine board. Its a blast off piste and on choppy days. If it gets really cruddy I put my switch bindings and vans on it. Its a nice switch from a hard carving board if the conditions are less than ideal.
  22. Serious best of luck on the healing process man. You did come away from the experience a smarter man. whether from the lesson learned the hard way or from all the hot air expended on this thread. Sorry for setting the world on fire it was intended in all good faith and humour. remember chicks dig scars now you just have to dream up a good manly excuse for how you got it. old war wound from your specwar days or something
  23. since it obviously isn't going to go away easily. I will be the first to say that more research needs to be done. At the very least their is a disturbing coincidence that needs more investigating. At worst we have a huge public health issue to correct. As said before I encourage full disclosure and independant thought. you are after all the one responsible for your health not your Doctor whether an MD, a DC, ND, OD et al. Doctor does after all mean Teacher not all powerful omniscient one. It is interesting to note such strong defensive action from the other side of the fence. I can't be more clear I don't have a problem with Dr's or even a company with conviction. I just want the patients/people to have the whole story from one crazy extreme to the other so that they can find the truth for themselves that almost always lies somewhere in between. Lets not forget motives when we read though billions of dollars is one heck of a motive. Mandatory vaccination is a low overhead high income business particularly when the government foots the bill for advertising.

  25. look at the tracks from the chair. as they change from edge to edge you can see that the whole board doesn't fall from one edge to the other all at once. I know you can control it on a softer board not so sure on the stiff stuff. on an old PJ on a cattrack you do it to run flat without catching an edge. step immediately onto a race board and try it you get dumped on your head. I would have to agree that it is part of the mix but probably not really something you can conciously control so much on the boards we ride.
