  1. I found a new set of vector race plates but they are missing the heel adapters. I am looking to buy some or sell the bindings.
  2. I found a Set of Nitro Vector step ins. they look New. A very solid metal binding with heavy toe bails. They are however missing the heels. I would like to sell them or buy some heels whichever comes first. Anyone know anything about them? they look alot tougher than most of whats out there the only plastic appears to be the cant shims. there are extra shims and lots of extra screws etc. comes with a leash and stomp pad box and paperwork.
  3. there are several small scale setups one can buy online. that make 40-50 gallon batches. Any large storage tank would work for storing it. the processors include filter system mixing and settlling tanks. it doesn't take long. the hardest part is finding a restaurant that will give you their old oil. In someplaces no big deal. others you will have to fight six hippies for a share of the goo. I know of several farm operations in the south that grow peanuts and press the oil onsite. they burn the shells for ash to make lye and ahem probably come up with there own source of alcohol to. they produce enough to run all the deisel farm equip for a year. they use the old drum and paddle technique. There is also a conversion kit you can get that will allow you to run straight vggie oil without conversion. you just have to filter the frenchfries out first.
  4. the handle is not designed to bear any weight or force per se. If you have them adjusted to tight you have to exert a lot of said force to get them on and off. the part that didn't break is the part bearing the brunt of the riding forces. Don't get me wrong metal is better but one should use any equipment within its design perameters. I won't be doing outside loops in a king pin style ultralight for instance. It flies just fine but isn't designed for outside loops.
  5. oh yeah how about a ballpark on the price man.
  6. Its how you ride it man. size isn't supposed to matter!     Sorry couldn't resist

    Need Mondo 29 boots

I will have the burton reactors available midweek. they are 29.5 with the stock liners etc for 95$ and with the extra size 11 intuition liners for an extra 90$ I wear a 10.5 extrawide . the intuitions are the mountaineering variety and are thicker than thermoflex. I had a heelcup pad added to them and they are great. Very lite very warm and the fit is fantastic. If the halfsize is an issue I will throw in a new set of footbed shims.
  8. Had a warm spell and thought the spring snow conditions would set in. It has been snowing the last three days and conditions could hardly be better this time of year. yesterday was fresh groom with just enough new snow to fill the grooves. flat out hero conditions for carving. the back country had 4-6 inches of fresh and Hellroaring basin was doable with the softer setups. all around fantastic conditions for the time of year.
  9. I think it was Mt Bachelor that had windshields on the quad bars. very cool since thirty miles an hour is usually cold. I think the windshields would encourage use of the bars. I am tall and some tool pulls the bar down without warning :angryfire . common courtesy people announce the lowering of the bar prior to doing so. I have noticed that jibbers often don't put the bars down due to the sideways nature of the board conflicting with the footrests.
  10. the first 2 minutes in soft boots leave me feeling unnattached but thats about the only difference I notice. I usually only softboot it when dropping of the edge of the world in the deep and steep particulary if to many of those nasty skiers have been there first. My hard boots just don't forgive mistakes enough for the extreme offpiste. I ride the softies looking over the tip or over my shoulder. I generally run similiar angles on both setups..works for me.
  11. check out big mountain its a short flight from SLC That's the end of the season here but Depending they should be open and the whole deal would be cheaper. we are at 110% snowpack this year and its snowing like no tomorrow up there right now. huge terain park and a brand new olympic quality halfpipe. 20 foot side walls for the freeride in you. spring groom is nearly always hero snow. bigmtn.com
  12. your wearing them a little snug maybe??
  13. well tell us how it ran man. How did it turn out?
  14. Dear Citizens for Health Supporter, At the end of 2005, Congress passed the Department of Defense Appropriations Bill for Fiscal Year 2006. Unfortunately, provisions to allow manufacturers of virtually any drug or vaccine to escape responsibility for gross negligence or even criminal acts were included in the final Defense funding bill. These provisions were included without Congressional debate or public scrutiny, and fail the basic test of fairness by including only an empty shell of a compensation program for injured patients with none of the funding needed to make compensation a reality. This is typical of those wishing to implement policy that would never pass were it introduced as a separate piece of legislation, and circumvents our right to be heard as concerned citizens. However, there is an effort mounting in Congress to repeal these provisions and restore consumers' right to compensation in the event they are injured as a result of using a particular drug or vaccine. Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) is working with her like-minded Senate colleagues and urging the Senate Majority Leader and Speaker of the House to schedule action on legislation that would repeal these provisions. Click here to send a letter to your representatives urging them to support efforts to repeal the liability protections passed in the Defense Department bill. If the stuff is so safe why do they need to pass midnite legislation protecting themselves from product liability suits?? Where's JAN when you need an answer?
  15. there are a couple pairs of the burton kids race plates on ebay right now. I think they are in a buy it now store. do a search for hard boot bindings snowboard, snowboard racing bindings etc they will pop up. I have a set of burton variplates in a smaller size that I would sell for 35 dollars. what size feet does he have? I saw an older model nordica womens boot in a fairly small size at the local used sport store I can check if I know what size you need. They would run 30-40 bucks I think. boards might be as simple as any board you can find intially or the one he has if he already boards.
  16. Everyone should ask the seller a question with the goal of educating the poor man. Might be kinda fun to overload his mailbox with advice!  I already sent mine
  17. right there with you. I think it looks like a hoot but I am not ready to throw down 600 - 1000 dollars to find out.

    Need Mondo 29 boots

nah you just got skinny feet man. some of us ducks need the length to fit the width in . I have 29.5 shells with an intuition liner a size smaller to cut the length down it works great. Heat mold liners are a godsend
  19. In America the saying I will have to check with my PO implies Parole officer. The guy a newly released prison inmate must report to on a regular basis. Ain't language a hoot.
  20. check out weilabs.com the fasst patch is the thing to look at. I have used them with huge success to speed the healing process both without surgery and after surgery. Post MRI shows very little scar formation on nearly complete ligament tear. you wear them 2 days on and one day off over the scar and any related areas. you will heal much faster and cleaner. If you need a source let me know but odds are the weilabs folks can point you to someone in your area. As said don't skimp on the PT but don't let them push to hard to fast pain isn't always a good thing. Let them know what you are feeling so that they can properly judge your progress.

    Need Mondo 29 boots

waiting on a set of raichles to arrive in the post. If they work out I will have a set of burton reactors for sale that would work. I will let you know. I have an old set of UPS boots that I would sell now cheap. they are size 10.5 euro wich is more like 11ish. I wear a 10.5 wide and they worked for me. good shape just to flexi for my big oversized butt
  22. I will take the unicant and how about the other cant in the top picture?
  23. I also am at a loss for what stiffness would be best. I rode a 185 identity race board that had about 3 inches of camber and my 265 pounds could hardly bend it below mach 5. I just don't want to work that hard. I would like to enjoy a full day of carving without 42 lactic acid stops. I am beginning to think that a softer setup would be to my liking. The AM setups look to be the most promising.
