Jack M
He was the best. "What if snowboards had been invented first? Then certain snowboard resorts wouldn't be allowing skiers up their snowboard lifts. Dumb." - Warren Miller

lonbordin
Mr. Miller suggested that a fitting memorial, for those able, would be a run down a favorite local slope in his honor. (“If you don’t do it now, you’ll only be a year older when you do.”)

Rusty Edges
I agree with most. It wasn't ski season until you saw the latest Warren Miller film. I especially enjoyed the years with Scot Schmidt and Glen Plake. (Steep couloirs on 215 super G skis? Are you insane???) I feel those two paved the way for today's level of extreme skiing and boarding. Heading up today for a few runs, with thoughts of Mr. Miller. Trenches for All! John Gilmour
He will be at the spot where you get off after riding heaven - filming those who can’t get off the lift. 1
Allee
I forget which film it was, but there was a sequence with beginners on the rope tow made me laugh until I cried. And another one about heading out of Denver on the I70 in ridiculous traffic, stopping for gas - and discovering that there were five people in the car, and only four sets of skis on the roof. RIP, sir. I might have to find one of your oldies but goodies and watch it this weekend. Edited January 25, 2018 by Allee
