softbootsurfer
Why has the "Goddess" been sitting in a Ski Shop window for the last 3 years under the Silver Queen Gondola here in Aspen ?
nils
You can get 3 swellpanik for 1 goddess...might explain that.. I would not take such an expensive board in heavy freeride, not sure titanal likes rock encounters, and it looks harder to repair than normal construction too....looks nice thu, but i prefer plain woodtopsheets. Dan
It's 3k euros direct from Virus. <a href="http://shop.virus-snowsports.com/en/shop/produkt/freeride-serien/the-goddess---ltd--edition.htm">http://shop.virus-snowsports.com/en/shop/produkt/freeride-serien/the-goddess---ltd--edition.htm</a> It's a beautiful board, but that's kind of a lot to spend on something that's going to get ridden over in the liftline the first time you take it out. Neil Gendzwill
That's 3000 Euros, so over 4000 US dollars.
nils
i thought it was around 2k...hmmm marketing rule number 1: price tag matters ! why not put it 3 k if it sells ! I remember telling Olivier the shaper from former brand Miura, who was doing marquetery wooodwork on his swallowtail, spending as much as 60-70 hours per board and selling them 0,9 k euros to raise his price, he was opening his eyes and telling me: do you think it would sell at 1 k? He was doubtfoul....with proper communication and marketing he would have been able to sell them 4k!! big canuck
If its been there for three years its worth $1000.00. Very few things appreciate in my expirience. Great board don't get me wrong. Make the guy an offer!!
pogokoenig
The window looks like Sport Riml in Soelden, Austria. The goddess has first been presented at the ISPO in January 2008. Of course it is a prestige object. But it's a blast to ride - not only for Pow. It is a great carving board too. It works even on the iciest stuff. I got one at home and have to say, this board is too nice for being kept in a show room. I like riding at high-speed and some of my greatest rides I had with the Goddess. Never been faster than with that board in deep pow. Virus has the same shape with a less fancy construction in the lineup - the LaGlisse. It goes for roughly 1,300 Euros and i cannot say the performance is of a huge difference.
