trent
scuff, sorry the back is hurting. luckily dave's got a picture of you hurting it; i've got it on video too, i'll work on getting that posted soon. if you can't ride, you might as well see why. ;) heal fast. -trent

What Does It Take To Get Banned At Buck ms. bobble was on her facebook (i just lurk). saw some guy, Austin Bruno Egghead (2/3rd correct), was commenting on buck hills wall post about being banned from buck and "i'll never go to that shthole". his FB picture showed the top of a chairlift from the rail yard. ms. bobble figured out Bruno is at least 20 years old based on him being member of eastview '08. the rail yard is Thunderdome... two men enter, one man leaves. he must've been really naughty. he used bad words! BobD
The staff at Buck are almost too customer oriented and nice. I get the impression, you would really have to do something outrageous. What a great few days it's been :) BobD

d3dan2001
Hey I just wanted to thank you guys for all the good input. I have been carving for ah about 30yrs now. I haven't had any input on how I was riding I usually ride with people riding soft boots. It has been the old response " wow what kind of board is that" for the most part. Bob had offered things like keep your shoulders square to the hill and aligned with your boots. then I saw BobD carving down Buck and Bob said yea that’s the other Bob and he is real technical .A short time after I met BobD my head was almost in meltdown mode :freak3:with all the info that he offered me about what I was doing and what I needed to do to get lower in my carves. Thanks guys I will have stuff to work on until I die.
powell1.8
it would've been good for softboots. It sure was. I was out in the morning getting my soft boot setup dialed in before I head west. The fresh snow was just a quinkydink. It was really wet. I asked the lifty to please dry my chair, but he didn't seem to enthusiastic about it. He did however show me where the chair warmer ON buttons are. I had to promise not to tell anyone to get it out of him. He said something about if everyone knew about them it might overload the system. To bad for you suckers, I promised. Softboots were weird at first, but as it came back to me I was having a blast. I was kind of hoping the conditions would have been a bit firmer to really get a good comparison to my other gear, but I'm not complaining. I scored a new pair of stiff softboots and wanted to see how well I could carve the cord, but no such luck. Although carving the soft stuff was probably the best comparison to western conditions I could have asked for.

Discovery Channel Human Body: Ultimate Machine saw this series last year on the discovery channel. the shows were extremely well done. unfortunatly the clips are just trailers. i wish full episodes were available off the web. if it airs again, its well worth watching. my favorite episode is about super human strength. this guy is pinned under a large slab of rock and is about to go over a cliff. he ends up throwing the rock off his chest and over his shoulders. in the full episode they show how his brain fires all of his muscle fibers in one split second to throw the rock. weight lifters can't conciously control this ability and that nature probably intended lack of concious control for our best interest. if i remember right he blows out all his muscules in his arms, shoulders and chest. he needed surgery afterward. superhuman strength the other one i liked was about sight. very appropriate to our sport. sign and reaction
