Dayum...

You ride trials Shaundoggy?

Urban?

Both?

LOL, no I wish... I'm an xc mtb'r... I think I'm killin' it when I get 12" off the ground!

Used to do a little bmx as a kid though and no matter how hard I worked, there was always a kid who was better. But with the web we can now see the crazy stuff the best guys in the world are doing...

I shoot a decent game of pool, a decent game of golf, snowboard decently, skateboard (ed) decently, but the instant I see what real talent does I want to puke.

i was talking with someone the other night about the level that all action sports have reached. Snowboarding, surfing, skateboarding, freestyle bmx/cross...all of it.

sick. just sick

I hear you and I too sometimes feel unskilled and unaccomplished when I see stuff like that. But then I remind myself that these top level people do their thing probably 4 to 12 hours a day or more, every day. I have always had too many interests and obligations to do that. You know what else is depressing, is that by a certain age of like 18 or so, you can't decide you want to go out and become a master at something like that, because you simply can no longer develop the required muscle memory to hang with the people who've been doing it since they were 5. "No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun."

I wasn't even in the stadium when the starting gun went off.

I was 30 before getting good on snowboard. about the time I thimk I'm hot $hit craving switch on skis, I'll go to the park & watch the "damn kids" pulling big crossed switch 7s across the gap; humbling.

"No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun."

interesting Floyd reference. I hate that line as it applies to my life in general.

I've played pool since I was 20, but will never be any better than an advanced intermediate. Same for golf, snow...anything.

oh well, I have fun most of the time.

having fun is all I care about at this point in my life....I rode with some guys in Japan who had skills similar to that though not the balance on a spiked fence kind of skills but still awe inspiring, we did manuals stairs, wallrides, gaps, drops and stuff

Hey Gecko, your brakes are on backwards! :biggthump

yup I ride a motorcycle....put them on the other way and I'm a dead man  I had to change the brakes on my wife's bicycle too

BTW not many people notice that even in person they hop on the bike and end up over the bars even after I say something

I've shown this video to more people at random than any other, ever. Thanks so much, it's beautiful.

LOL, you aren't the only one Dave... the youtube version has something like 1.4 MILLION hits in four days. And I was getting stoked because I'd had over 1000 views on one of my carving vids...
