Not Japan, Korea -- I watched the credits. They reference this site: www.friendmind.com, which looks like a personal site for an alpine racer named Yoon Dong Hyuk. Some competition results posted there, but nothing recent.

Gecko
Moss snowboards are japanese and Mind snowboard shop has prices listed in yen, the trails and the mountains look like Nagano or S.E.Niigata which I know sounds iffy but if you've ever been there you would understand they just have that look. there are also a few guys in those not so fruity one-pieces that the japanese carvers so enjoy wearing. plus Yoon Dong Hyuk seems to spend as much time of more time training in Japan as he does at home in Korea

Wun
Not Japan, Korea -- I watched the credits. They reference this site: www.friendmind.com, which looks like a personal site for an alpine racer named Yoon Dong Hyuk. Some competition results posted there, but nothing recent. the trails and the mountains look like Nagano or S.E.Niigata I was a bit curious myself. Probably unnecessary, but I'll lay out a few words since it seems like no one else claiming to be Korean or claiming knowledge of Korean has posted yet for any sort of verification, and I may be one of only very few (if any others) of my ethnicity in these forums. However, I'm American-grown... my mom didn't bother speaking to me in Korean while I was growing up even though she's fob, so it's not like I speak it or anything. Anyway, the stuff is written out in Korean, and I can read Korean words without knowing what they mean. The rider in the video does coincide with that of the friendmind.com site; his name reads exactly that, Yoon Dong Hyuk, in the video, with romanization, proper or improper. A quick google search of "high1 ski resort" (High1 shown at the beginning of the video) brings up references to Korea, so I'd figure that the filming in the video took place there. Of course, not trying to make any claims about the sponsors, but I'm pretty convinced that the dude is Korean and is filming in Korea. Miltie
That footage is almost the same as his sequence in the Japanese carving video called Installer 7 (from last year). He rides Moss as Gecko mentioned. The shop Minds is from Japan. Not sure what area it is located in without doing some more research. There were several riders last Monday at my local mountain (in Gifu) with Minds stickers on the boards. FYI - I think there are about 4 new vids this year (Installer 8.0 and 8.2, GTS 4 and Demonstrators 16) plus a few from SBJA with races results and technical carving contests. carve9142
He is definitely a Korean, one of the most famous rider. He used to be in Korea National team, but not anymore. Now his running his own shop named MIND in Korea. And I heard that place was somewhere in Japan.
