Boy you aren't kidding Bob....I have had nothing but oooh's and aaaah's, and a few "what the hells" from everyone on the hill. (Fe riding the Powstick is also drawing all kinds of attention, especially from older depraved patrollers.) There is also a very cool phenomena that occurs that you may not realize while you are on the board. When you are on edge, shiny side up, the polish reflects the snow surface and the board tends to go stealth. According to my girlfriend, it appears as though I'm riding on air, with some sort of holographic image (stickers) following me along.

I have a couple of pic's of the now finished version of my 187, out in the elements, which I will try to post here on Wednesday.

Also, to the rest of the forum, Dan the Man, and I are going to trick his ride at SES, over a cold one, aka Monster Metal board shop....so the more the merrier.

How am I supposed to keep my budget in check with you guys posting porn like this online. Now I *HAVE* to have one!!!

Unfortunately, any picture dont make anykind justice for these boards, they ride so smooth and well.

And they look awesome as polished, you dont need to worry about someone to steal your board cause there are too many eyes looking that thing all the time ;)

Here is another teaser picture of board nose:

Ok here is my entry in the 'How much time can you waste on your WCR contest'.

Rich S.:lurk:

Hey Rich, Very nice work. Do you find any Bunny's borrowing you to check the make up?

With a finish that fine, what are you using to keep it looking new? I've noticed some oxidation on mine and the polymer car wax I use isn't making much of a difference.

Thanks!

Al

Here's a shot of my "Liz" (aka Lizzie Boardn, or Tin Lizzy, depending on her mood) shown sprawling out, vitually naked, on the slopes of Indianhead Mtn.

Definately "do-able" , smooth as silk, ohhh and those curves........

Careful though... Those edges are sharp!:freak3:

Al, I saw the original post on Sunday, and went into the garage to see what I had on hand. Turtle Chrome Polish. So I tried that and it works ok. But I still don't have a perfect mirror finish. I mean whats the point of this if not perfection??? So now (after using the Turtle Chrome Polish) I have done some research and I think I am going to try Metal Master Easy Cut (good stuff on this on the web). Don't ask me if I know what I am doing - I don't.

see http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-cleaning-polish/

I have yet to ride it in its new polished condition - so no comments from the peanut gallery. I am going out Friday/Saturday.

I like the "Keep Off" graphic on the tail of the board. Might make people at least think about staying of the tail in the lift line.

Hi Rich,

I do have some experience in metal polishing as I have worked in the sanitary stainless equipment business for most of my career. While I don't know the exact chemistry of the Titanal, it is predominantly Aluminum, which may be too soft an alloy to allow you to achieve an maintain a perfect mirror finish. A slightly less than perfect finish may be more desirable in the long run as you will be able perform some touch ups rather easily.

Wait till you get on this thing, it's like no other board you ever rode...at least for me it was. :1luvu:

Al, where did you get your graphics? I like the chick on the front and DEFINITELY the 'keep off' on the back.

Rich S.

Rich,

I got those on-line at www.carstickers.com The "Keep-Off!" is a snowcapped font....perfect. But you will find dozens of options on-line searching for vinyl stickers, die cut decals, vinyl lettering, etc.

water seems to etch it just slightly, mine I'm not done with yet as my felt fell apart and I've yet to get another. but it seems a haze has formed where it's gotten wet. it comes off easily though. right now my board kinda looks like the kessler here, http://bomber.smugmug.com/keyword/bomberonkessler#144284408
