  1. Jörg at Pureboarding would agree!
  2. Still no one to review this thing? I got my hands on three brand new Revo boards today on ebay for €600, which was a total bargain since they retail €800 each. So expect some verdicts somtime soon. Wonder what my plates will do to this board...
  3. Thanks. Yes, well - that was my first option but the only hit was a poll, so I thought no luck. But man, I stand corrected.
  4. After a lot of reading I found the short answer. Yes.
  5. What about the fin-tec handle? Is it the same as on the F2 heel cable? Can I click-to-fit my F2 pants to the handle in the same way? /™
  6. Kind of reminds me of the skis I'm on when riding with my son
  7. Will be cool to see in Oppdal Pokkis!
  8. Too bad I can't make it either. Will be carving at home in Åre though!
  9. Not looking for a new one, I've got the SP, SL and the GTS in 172, 166, and 166 respectively. With the SP being my favourite board I wanted to test their "cousins" for conditions when the SP isn't optimal (e.g. softer). I found the GTS to be a really good "hardbooter all mountain". Only been on my SL on one day, but I coulndn't say that it was a whole lot different from the GTS. I think the GTS below is another lenght than the SL (hence it looks wider), in reality the dimensions as mentioned are exactly the same. Last years both were listed €399. I'll probably sell the SL since it's spanking new and I like the design of the GTS.
  10. Hey guys. Anyone know the difference between a F2 Speedster GTS and the SL? They are exactly the same measures on the 166. http://www.f2snow.com/2004_5/english/produkte/boards/speedster_sl/speedster_sl.html http://www.f2snow.com/2004_5/english/produkte/boards/gts/gts.html
  11. I got a Thias 120 for my god daughter... Edit: Radius 6 meters... Also the other week I picked up an F2 Speedster 146 on ebay for €11 (= free). There are more of them up for grabs: Ebay>>
  12. I actually use my Heas Stratos Pros on short skis when helping out my 2 year old son. They seem to fit OK in some bindings.
  13. If it not makes things worse for you... Florida temperature seems compensation and distraction enough though?
  14. Tao of (skiiing) snowboarding and skwalling! Came across this book and ordered it immediately. Anyone read it? I'll post a review asap. "Patrick “Thias” Balmain, creator and promoter of the skwal--a type of snowboard that positions the feet and the body facing forward on the board--discovered that by applying a concentrated awareness to movement activities such as skiing, a balance in motion can be achieved that is pure harmony and joy. When the mind is completely engaged, not with its thoughts but with the attention it commits to the movement of the body, it brings forth a balance between Earth’s center of gravity and that of the individual that evokes lasting transformations in one’s stance toward life, influencing one’s attitudes, gestures, words, and actions."
  15. As far from carving as you can possibly get?
  16. Uh - there are Intec softies from F2... Not in production anymore, but still... "El Camino - that's like the Cadillac of cars Earl!"
  17. The old Skwal switcharoo concept... Not good for alpine, maybe good for skwal and vice versa...
  18. It's about 45 degrees: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=78+percent+to+degrees&btnG=Search And yes definately carveable. Me and Joerg from Pureboarding and some other guys at the Swedish SES last year did the wall in the Swedish resort Sälen which is shorter but the same steepness. As long as it't properly groomed, no problems. Just some guts to dive in and then it's just like williamblake said - no effort to get the edge in properly.
  19. Yes, you should definately try the Head Stratos pro if you haven't. My feet never liked the Deeluxes/Raichle at all, but at home from start in my Heads.
  20. Looks good with Joerg on his #two on the cover...
  21. Totally agree with Mats there. I was on the Virus Vampire on the last Swedish SES and it definately wasn't for me as I enjoyed the other traditional Viruses whole lot more. Then again I'd love to try something like the Silberpfeil with TI.
  22. You'll love that board coming from a FP. I was out on mine today. Pure love season after season.
  23. Just got my new #two Pureboarding board! And I gotta say - it's even better than I remembered from the session when I tested it. Not quite the best conditions up here yet, but still, just the quality feel of this board is awesome.
  24. For a soft boot carving set-up I'd say it's great value. I've got one in my quiver to use as am (w. hardboots) in those late season slushy days where you can carve the first few hours and then get big moguls I'd never like to hit with my Skwal, Silberpfeil or Speedster RS.
