  1. Hey Corey sorry to hear this. I know what it is like to lose a whole season of riding. It stinks!!!! Get better soon so you can race your car with the seat belt on.
  2. Just got mine! This is even better than the first.(IMO) I heard some commenting on the price. If it was cheap, it would be just like any other publication. It's even better quality than "Surfer's Journal". Which is expensive compared to other mags. Thanks again Alex, and all the contributors to "our" magazine.:)
  3. Wow Alan & Kimo, I hope the road to recovery is shorter than each injury sound's. Good Luck!!!
  4. Neil, the Doctor said I have a "high ankle sprain". I will have to be in that boot for a few more weeks. No more crutches. Yay!! Kemo, I hope I didn't set you up for disaster!!! I hope you hear good news tomorrow. Thanks again!
  5. Hey Kimo, just wanted to say thanks again for your help at this years SES. Your Jeep was in better condition when you gave me a much needed ride from Buttermilk!! I will be in a Aircast boot for another 2-3 wks. (Doctors orders) How is your Leg? Marty
  6. Thanks guy's, I'm now seriously thinking about going in Dec./13 That's when they told me they are having camp dates for alpine snowboarding. :D
  7. I am not interested in running gates. When I e-mailed them I expressed that. I was told that they cater to freeriding also. Where you told the same thing? I don't want the focus to be on gates at all. (although I'm betting that any and all technique advise can help) I don't know of any other carve camps. Does anyone?
  8. Has anyone been to a "Snow Performance" carve camp at "Sun Peaks"? Was it good? Looking for a few days of Instructor input. An hour here, an hour there is ok, but to have someone all day for several days I think would be much better. What are the conditions like in B.C.? I've never been out of the U.S. boarding. Thanks!!!!
  9. I have a Burton Alp164 in great condition. (8.5/10) I also have Burton Race Plate bindings. 3 & 4 hole discks. Cant plate w/ 3 hole center, hardware.Enable your e-mail and I'll send you pictures. I'm looking for $75. for board, $75.for bindings + shipping.
  10. The Oxygen may be a better board. But may not be better to start on. Where do you ride? What snow conditions are you looking to ride on? An AMboard may give you a little more snow condition options. But than again I've seen good riders on "race" boards going all over too. A lot is going to depend on your riding progress. I feel boots are the most important part of the puzzle. Uncomfortable feet will lead to a frustrating start. Weigh in cost when starting. If you find alpine is not for you. you won't be in too deep. Good Luck with whatever you go with!!!
  11. Hi Rob, I'm currently selling a Burton Alp 164. for $75.+shipping. The board is in great shape 8.5/10. I can e-mail you pics. It is a great board for begining on. Not too stiff. Closer to an "all Mountain" board with a waist of 21.5 than a "race" board. You can run a little lower angles to make the transition from "softies" to hardboots easier. If you decide down the line that "Alpine" is not for you, your not into it too deep cost wise. Let me know. P.S. welcome!!!!
  12. Bump... Board still available!
  13. I have a Burton Alp164 for sale. 8.5-9/10 condition fun board, not too stiff. Great beginner board. Plenty of camber, never had a base grind. Very few nicks/scrapes on top or bottom. Has a clear stomp pad Length 164 waist =21.5mm not sure of other specs ie scr etc... $75. + shipping U.S. only. Having a real hard time posting pictures here. I tried the "FAQ Help" but unable to get it to work. I can e-mail pics to you. will con't. to try sorry.
  14. Have entire set up of Burton Race Plates. 3 & 4 hole plastic center disks, cant plate w/ 3 hole center, 4 hole offset disk, screws, original leash(new) $75.+ shipping. Not interested in splitting up package. Have pictures just send me your e-mail. P.S. they are exactly like the Blue ones in your picture.
  15. Thank you to Fin, Michelle, Sean, Bruce, Jeorg, Jaysey Jay, Geoff, Jack, Todd and anyone else that had anything to do with this years ECES!!!!! There is a heartbeat in alpine riding in 2012. Hope to see you all at the SES in Aspen next year.
