  1. What was the name of that metal Virus I rode? Not my board at all compared to the silver/black faded one.
  2. Hey Pokkis! Of course I'm the Skwal guy, but firstly a carver Don't know If I was just after wider, just something new to evolve with in different directions. I sure know my new Thias will make me improve as a Skwalleur and since I had so much fun on the #two I was just looking for something new (until I could get my hands on the #two). The Afterburners are too little action for my taste, how would you compare them to the Pen? All Skwalling put aside, the Silverpfeil remails my favorite beeing narrow and lively.
  3. Thanks. A bit how I reckoned. I'll just have to get Joerg's baby for next season.
  4. Just ordered a 161 Speedcross as it seemed similar in spec to Joergs #Two Purecarving board I tested during the Swedish Sessions a couple of weeks ago. Anyone ridden both and compared? I loved the #Two in the conditions we had (http://forum.alpinepunk.com/photos/default.aspx) and had loads of fun on it, but'll probably have to save up for it... And I guess they're out for this season.
  5. Shipping will be €30 If you want me to send it, drop me a mail teodor@aresolution.se Brgds Teodor
  6. I'll check with the post office after easter. It's the 2005 model.
  7. Great condition ridden only a couple of days. Board is in Sweden. €280
  8. Yep, I got some guys to go on the Skwal. Loads of talent discovered. Stoked to hear that Joerg once beat the reigning snowboard wc on a Skwal...The FIS was quick to ban it huh? Also cool to ride the 45° "wall" with him.
  9. Actually Gudrun is behind a lot of F2 designs.
  10. BTW - we had to nag to get Pokkis to put his Prior Pens in the pic.
  11. Hey Pokkis! Did you try it? (or anything new?)
  12. Just got back from a great session in Sweden with Mats from Alpinepunk.com and Joerg from pureboarding. What a great weekend. Joerg's style and boards really got me inspired and I was stoked to try his "baby" - the #two board which I really liked. It really was for playing around. Some pics from the event. Hey Al! Turn around!

Watch out with the Monocarver! It hasn't got standard 4x4 so I had to drill (Fin cover your ears/eyes!) extra holes in my TD discs to make it fit and can only use three screws per disc. Even then the fit was assymetrical. E.g. it fits a bit like this: Nose |___| |oo_| |_o_| |___| |_oo| |_o_| |__ | Tail But the monocarver sure deserves the TD!

I go with 90/83. Can't really adjust the "lenght", but it's really tight. You shouldn't be able to open the rear binding with the front foot in if you haven't got intecs.
  15. what's using the stiffer tounge going to do compared to tightening the spring?
  16. I'm lighter than you (~73 kg) and I ride both the Speedster RS 183 and the Silberpfeil 172, obviously with different conditions in mind. I go for the smaller SCR for crowded days and the RS when I can use the whole slope and don't risk having a skier coming down on my neck.
  17. Fair enough. I don't really enjoy skidding my skwals or anything else.
  18. I just think anything loose go against the concept of carving...
  19. Are you saying I'm out of control riding on my skwals with 86-90? It's really different to freecarve and to race... I'm after the feeling - not the fastest way down.
  20. Duh. Thanks. Yes, they (Skwals) are generally quite generous with that, but I find I can push my Völkl Monocarver really hard to get really tight turns though. _________________ http://aresolution.se
  21. Wow - my favourite board! But without TD's - what a shame.
  22. I'm confused. The starter of this thread stated that the soft boots were just as stiff as a pair of winds... Having riden Winds and Head Stratus Pro over the last 5 years I got a pair of Malamutes to use in some off-piste applications last year. And having been in hard-boots for such a long time the Malamutes felt like a pair of sneakers in comparison. Is there some way of measuring stiffness I'm not aware of?
  23. And if you like and get used to the stance on that waterski - you should definately try the Skwal once the snow start to fall again. Nothing like it to get all that weight on the edge.
