  1. Too few Skwals in my opinion though, only a Freeride and the old Lacroix.
  2. And I thought my Volant turned heads as it is...
  3. Including Original Thias Bindings. Great condition, only used a couple of times. Waist 14,7 Sidecut 12m Sandwich construction PTex 1000 base. Product info page: http://www.skwal.org/gammride.htm $350 / €300 plus shipping from Sweden. teddo@glocalnet.net
  4. That's probably a 50% deal, so yes. I was at the F2 test center in Sölden earlier this year, and was stoked to try out some of their boards!
  5. That's why I always drive my car to the slopes wearing my hardboots...
  6. Man, Flims is sooo nice. Got into Skwalling there for the first time, hooked since then.
  7. I don't get this one either. I've never actually been on any lifts without one, but I've been happy to have used the safety at the time when an emergency stop once almost threw me out of the chair. But most of all, I find it very strange that they are so rare in the US than here in Europe. I usually find your culture with warning signs on literally everything, and "sign-here-so-you-won't-sue-us-forms" for every other potentially hazardous activity more likely to have safety bars than the Laissez-faire attitude of say, the French.
  8. You mean I can polish my Volant to look like that?!
  9. Hey Miro! Consider this deal for a good compliment!:http://www.snow24.de/F2_Lancelot__03.2202.0.html
  10. I ride the F2 Lancelot with plates which basically is the Eliminator with a swallowtail. It makes a really good allround combo with great carving abilities.
  11. I just have to throw myself into this.... I fell in love with Lancelot some time ago. I put plates on it and it totally rips - in the powder and above all on everything else aswell. Carves like the Eliminator and the nose flex is just right with the stiff tail.
  12. They are really cold compared to Thermoflex anyway.
  13. So I guess there is no use in trying out the stiffer toungues that came with the boots? I always wondered what difference they make compared to making spring adjustments?
  14. Agree, Sölden is a great place to be to be able to try out equipment etc. Got my Stratus Pros there three months ago - great with advice and fitting in the shops. Edit: Also, you might want to check out Flims in Switzerland. That is the place in the world I know that is really dedicated into attracting snowboarders. The even have ski maps with outlined areas attractive for differend kinds of boardriding; carving, backcountry and park. They also have (Board) Riders Palace, a really cool place to stay at (featured in the Hotel Guide Hip Hotels). On one of my visits I rented factory primes and Skwals from the "regular" shop. Indeed well stocked. Check out www.flims.ch and discover the "Alpine arena".
  15. I would put my money one somthing better then entry level like the Alp. You should be able to find high end stuff bargains if you look around a bit. I tried the Alp for a bit a couple of years ago and having been on the Factory and Ultra primes it was a waste of good riding time.
  16. I always put them on straight. I've got the really stiff ones and I'd think my board would flex in a bad way if I should have them angled. I get some of the hang you mention on one of the corners when using Flow bindings, but it's not noticable when riding. BTW, aren't these plates some of the most expensive pieces of plastic on the snowboard market?
  17. Hey! Anyone who can give me any info on this board? Found it on ebay. There was little info in the ad. Cheers /Teddo
  18. Yeah... I paid around €90 in taxes alone to Sweden.
  19. Sound like my favourite slogan fits right in
  20. Its not stretched when you ride. You can adjust the length of the cord, but the point is to get more to grab when wearing mitts than just the handle. The cord is just like having a longer handle really.
  21. The point with F2:s pants (and Mats pants I guess) is that you grab and pull the pant instead of the handle.
