Really sucks to have SES over. Just super to have the chance to meet and ride with everyone! During the 18 hr drive back to the flatlands I found my feet and legs doing tiny little heelside and toeside moves as I guided the car from lane to lane with the cruise control on. At one point I wondered why I wasn't changing lanes, pushed my toes harder and leaned a bit.... oh, right... steering wheel! Endless thanks to ALL the organizers and supporters.

Also, if your skis are too short they will bump up the waves and leave moguls.

Just demo'ed a FC 171 and 175 at SES. Liked the 175 better, but I think the 171 might be better suited to my home hill. Is your FCII metal or glass only? edit: in serious email exchanges with NickG regarding the Donek FC II

I see sammy made a contact about the Donek FC three weeks ago and that Nick's last edit to his opening post was made 2 weeks ago. Donek was still showing available then. Is the Donek FCII still available? Interested. email sent.

Yes, the north was not as heavily vested in slave ownership as the south... but the north was very instrumental in maintaining the institution of slavery. Many very large fortunes were made by 'respectable' northern businessmen owning and operating the ships which brought slaves over to the states. As the winds of change started to blow these businesses found ways to whitewash their fortunes and downplay their roles.

Any ballroom dancing around Aspen during SES? My wife and I enjoy dancing and would like to know if there are any places in the area we might go while at SES. It would be great to have others join us as well! We are not 'Dancing with the Stars' types, but do enjoy Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Samba, Chacha, etc.

After reading thru the SkES 11 thread I have come to realize I probably should change my handle here at BOL. Several discussed on SkES jump to mind right off the bat. MFG....mud flap guy TOP....turkey on plates PAC....personality as contraceptive Should this be a poll? I had always thought of myself as more of a JAKE, the 'life is good' guy... but I think it's time to take off the rose tinted glasses.

I have UPZ with ski heels. I frequently switch back and forth between skis and board, especially during our beer league race night. Often I have to explain "I go both ways."

A good whistle! in addition to all the other stuff. Good for alerting others if you get trapped or hung up. Also good if you just want to be a traffic cop in the lift line. -

This is my 1st SES. I'm guessing that there may be quite a bit of private party equipment selling and trading going on. Yes/No? I'm wondering if I should wait to get to SES and scrounge for items there or shop the BOL classifieds now.

Bindings sold for considerably less than $1,300 'collector' value. Cant is still available. Insert is 3 hole.
