  1. how much for the vent cover? What year? Is it 'metal'? Can you ship to Iowa?
  2. another aspect of pozidriv and phillips heads screws is that it takes positive pressure to keep the screwdriver engaged... which can make you push the t-nuts loose inside yourt boot. I messed up the metric t-nut in my boots so went with 10-32 socket head cap screws and t-nuts. +1 for hex drive !
  3. Thanks for getting in touch. No problem that you want to wait to see if yellow rings become available. For whatever it might be worth, I'm not certain there is a significant difference between TD2 yellow & purple rings due to the relatively thin layer that is active. With TD3 rings it is a totally different story because of the added 4.5mm of elastomer thickness.
  4. I've got a pair of purple rings I can sell... just cannot put my hands on them at the moment (they are over at other house) If you are serious I can go get them.
  5. Kit sold with 3* & 6* cants only one 0* cant available if anybody wants it. I've decided to keep one just to have it.
  6. OK, buddy, OK... I've got the picture, the BINDINGS have been sold. It just looked as though you might end up with a set of orphaned yellow TD3 rings which I happen to have a need for. Just trying to offer you the opportunity to unload them also. Case in point... I'm selling a TD2 2nd board kit. I have 4 cants available. Someone only wants 2. I'd be happy if someone wanted to buy the remaining 2 cants.
  7. Hi anke. Sorry, you are not 1st in line The 1st line of the post was $65 for 2 cants. A 3* and 6* would be fine. Earlier I was contacted via email by a person from Canada asking about shipping costs. I provided info to him but have not yet heard back. I will consider you next after him. If he does not respond in a timely manner I'll let you know. Can you wait a few days? Brad
  8. So... guess that yellow TD3 rings will not be sold to me. True, jburrill?

  11. This has been a weird season for me. On the night of 2-22 (our beer league race night) we had the fastest snow I have ever seen in over 30 years of skiing. One guy characterized it as skiing on ball bearings. I felt like I was on an air-hocky table with my snowboard. Anything that seemed flat invariably had some pitch to it and I just could not keep still. I had to look for hollows to stand in with my board or step out of one binder. Running the course was sheer terror for me because of how quickly speed built up. I basically skidded the whole course. After the races I went to the widest, flatest run available and tried to link some turns. Crap! I was so timid that I couldn't drive the edge and decamber enough to get a tight carve going. I'd ride the weak arc as far as I could but had to kick the tail out and scrub speed to avoid hitting the fence or going into the trees. Not helping this any was the fact that glide retention was unbelievable and acceleration blew my mind. At one point I was traversing at low speed, looked over to another trail and thought 'what the heck... lets see if I can get there'. Heck, I climbed a rise I've never gotten over like it wasn't even there and hit the new trail with way too much speed. We had just had a bunch of freezing rain which had left a clear glaze about a quarter inch thick on everything. Seems we weren't on snow but rather were on very very small ice cubes. Temp that night was around 28 deg F Anyway... this comes on the heels of some of the SLOWEST snow I've been on. At SES'11 I was with my wife as she was trying a carving board. We got off the lift and found picture perfect groom that would not let our boards slide. It was quite funny to be standing on the boards, noses pointed straight down the fall line, skootching along like we were trying to XC snowboard... trying to get to a pitch steep enough that would allow us to glide. Felt really silly. Temp that AM is unknown to me, but was COLD. So... what tales of fast (or slow) snow do the rest of you folks have?
  12. I'm interested in buying the yellow TD3 rings if blue get sold with the sidewinders. edit: nice choice, teach!
  13. I'd like to add my voice to the above comment. I just bought a board here from a guy who doesn't have a big history here at BOL. Good deal. Good board. Good packing. Good communication. I'd like to leave a 'thumbs up' as a kind of endorsement in the sale thread regarding my dealings with him... but he deleted it. Sure, his 'for sale' post is done serving its immediate purpose of selling the board. Sure, deleting the thread clears server disk space for active useage. But there is a bit of value in others knowing I trusted this guy, he came thru for me and I'd probably buy from him again. EDIT: For the same kind of reasons... keeping these threads would be worthwhile if the deals go bad!! I bought a free-ride board off ebay a few years ago where the guy said the board was sound but was actually busted! Steel edge busted and coming off the side, but he insisted it wasn't a problem.:freak3:

    Out of line?

I've got mixed feelings about the behaviors of both groups. On that wide track (road?) it seems to me that the expectation is 'no big horsing around' unless you've got it pretty much to yourself... meaning immediate vicinity. Seems like 'gray hoodie boarder' drifted into the skier's comfort zone, making skier deviate to his left. Then the skier went straight at 'blue pants boarder' and apparently in a deliberate offensively, supposedly defensive move stiff armed 'blue pants'. Leading up to this moment the boarders seemed to be pretty chill, just having a good time (but perhaps a bit too much frolick in close quarters). It seemed the skier and friend were already itching for the opportunity to be 'right at any cost'. It seems the skiers may have had the opportunity to go wide to the left of the playful boarders but instead chose to knowingly blow right thru the middle of the boarders. Both sides of this could have said and done some things different to de-escalate the situation. It seems the skiers were looking for a fight before they came onto the boarders.
  18. Mommas, don't let your babies grow up to be skidders.
  19. admit it... some guys need props. Here's a "Lang Girl"

    3 boards for sells

I'm out. Sounds like a good board... just not what I'm looking for. Thanks for all your help NickG!
  21. A few years ago I did have to surrender a file. It was a standard flat file 1 inch wide about 10 inches long with one squared off end and the other somewhat pointed (fits into a handle). They were scared of the pointed end.
  22. So... how did this turn out? Inquiring minds want to know! Well, not really. I prefer dull edges to match my wit.
  23. Someone here at BOL posted a tactic that seems to make a lot of sense. If you have the opportunity to do curbside baggage check-in... do so, 'accidentally' letting them see some tip money being readied. And tip the guy comfortably. Often they are less "letter of the law" than the people at the counter.
