Yeah, they also make a great hardboot :rolleyes: but seriously Head skis kick ass. I'm really not a big fan of Atomics. Volkl and Head are consistantly my favorites when I demo skis.

I only have one 0*, but I would definatly consider trading it for a 3* if you have a 3* you want to give up.

They have regular liners. But they're VERY comfortable boots.

the boots are a 27 so you'd probably fit but they might be a bit roomy. Does your foot measure 26.5 exactly or are you rounding down to your size? becuase my foot is about 26.8 and these boots fit me perfectly.

Ok, sorry for taking so long. The lower shell is 27-27.5, the cuff is 25-27, the tounge is 25-27.5 and the liner is 27.0. The sole length is 295mm (11.6 in).

I have never used 23's but I'm almost sure the 22's are softer. I can have info such as lower shell size and pics up tomorrow.

I have a pair of size 27 Raichle SB222's, they're in good shape, been ridden about 10 times and they're in great shape and are perfect for a beginner, lightweight carver or anyone wanting a soft hardboot. $90.

Flex on a skateboard is mostly personal preference, really the only guideline is make sure you get a sturdy enough board so you won't break it, after that you can go for a really flexy board or really stiff, it's just personal preference.

That maybe true, a bad wax job will screw you and leaning back might not make up for it but if you have a good wax job and are going fast leaning back will make you go faster, when you're in a race on the straights where you can sacrifice a little bit of balance why bother being even on the board? leaning can give you an extra push.

Yes if you're going flat if you put more weight towards the back of the board (or skis) you will go a little faster. Try it out next time youre on the snow, it may help you get across some flats at your resort.

You're joking right! Yes fun is above results but when you're 200ft ahed and have the gold sealed why risk throwing it all away so you can look cool. She took a stupid risk and she screwed up bad, after all that training and preperation and fighting her way through the quarterfinal and simifinal she threw it away. One commentator summed it up, she didn't win silver she lost gold. What she did wasn't putting fun before racing it was just being arrogant. It's not over 'til it's over. She's a great snowboarder but that end was hard to watch.

You'll probably just have to buy some 06/07 boots. I don't think Deeluxe would come out with a buckle retrofit.

Telemark is great for backcountry becuase with climbing skins the free heel allows you to climb up the hill and a good telemark turn has more stability. In a resort it's just another fun way to get down the hill.

Nice pics. I have a quick question. How much does the tounge flex on the indys? (Just the tounge on it's own) not the stock RAB or the BTS with blue springs) I'm a lightweight (140lbs) and I'm thinking of gettting some new boots next season. I'm just wondering if the indy's with the yellow BTS springs would work for somebody as light as me. I'm just wondering if the boot tounge would be so stiff as to limit the forward flex becuase the boots designed for heavier guys.

I wouldn't get the Swoard. From what I've read it's really only worth the $900-$950 if you're going to be doing nothing but extremecarving and that it's only a decent board and not worth the price for "normal" carving. Again I've never even seen one in person let alone ridden one, but that's what I've hard. Also $900 is a lot of money to spend on a board especially when for $400 you can get that Donek.

I'm pretty sure they all come with 0/0. I know the alpine boards come with 0/0 and I would guess the Freeride series is no different but I'm not sure.

I wouldn't say %99 of retail skis are cap. Go to almost any ski store and you'll find at least one sidewall/sandwitch sk sometimes two or threei, but you are right the vast majority of retail skis are cap. Snowboards seem to be more balanced between the two constructions.
