  1. Rick, look at it this way, these dimples actually decrease the contact surface thus reducing friction and actually increasing your speed!!! So more dimples = faster!!!! :D Practically speaking, yes it is possible to make a board which won't have that problem.. But, practically speaking, there is no real need...
  2. Had to contribute to the "nostalgia" thread... 4 years ago I had a 1st gen RangeRover for a while.... it was an 88 or 90, don't know for sure... The truck was in miserable condition (it wasn't mine and the owner really didn't care), but god I loved that thing... As ugly and bulky as it was, it was running... point! Wasn't asking for anything but gas and occasional oil change... and it was running through anything and everywhere, took so much beating - any new truck would fall apart only ofter 1/50 of what that piece of British garbage was taking... I don't know about current generation, but 2nd gen RangeRover was absolute rubbish spending more time in a garage than on the road and generating 3 and 4 digit bills most of the time... (at least the highest trim level models with air suspension) B.t.w. when I had that Rover, for a couple of weeks I was able to compare it with a 2001 Beemer 528... Sure thing it was so much cooler... but the one I truly miss is the old stinky RangeRover... Can get one in really good condition for really cheap nowadays, but at the current pace of life, feeding an old-school V8 isn't an option... P.S. Rover is still running b.t.w. Beemer, got in a minor accident and got totaled...
  3. Back-push is a bit more accurate, the foot you'll throw forward will determine your stance...
  4. Come on people they are worth 20$ shipped just for the clips... :D These are nice clips, which can be fitted on any other binding including burtons....
  5. Wax-consistency lubricants work really well on the receiver... esp. when it's cold and for the purpose they are way better than Bomber Butter...
  6. I'd buy one hands down.. As much as I love new cars I hate them for the same reasons... they are made to be sold, not last...
  7. Believe us, you won't regret getting Ti-s over Snowpros... I'd switch just because of the rear bail not having stoppers... Reminds me that i still have a pair of old Snows laying around - a good candidate for a give-away thread...
  8. Guys, you should take a look at Ford's European lineup... Imho they'd be prospering if they were to bring at least half of all models sold in Europe to replace NA's pile of horse sh%t... Instead they have a different Focus for each continent, none of the Euro-bestsellers sold in NA, huge investments in pickup-craps and quality which doesn't stand a chance against Koreans... Not that GM and Chrysler are any better, but at least both competitors sell the same sh%t all around the world and Chryslers do look better... Chrysler was smart enough to bring Sprinter in NA, while Ford still sells 25-years-old Econoline... Sure enough European Transit isn't a beauty queen, but it's still 1000 time better than Econoline and for the right price it would be very competitive against Sprinter which is currently (maybe not the cheapest) THE best commercial van on NA market... Having worked in custom commercial trucks industry for a while i've seen them all from all the angles...
  9. And how does it compare to St-Anne? From carver's point of view...
  10. Looks like a killer deal to me, 100$ + SH of eBay for a brand new, true freeride stick from F2 is unbeatable.. Hell, i'd get one just for the sake of having it...
  11. B.t.w. somebody promised to post some pics... In some other thread I've said, the only time i've been in Tremblant was the last time as well... didn't like it at all except some runs on the back of the mountain... Thanks for the feedback on Massif, i'll definitely hit it this season! What board should I bring? A freecarver or something faster?
  12. One has to be desperate for snow to ride that cold... At -15 I have to spend 20 mins every 3 runs warming up... toes mostly, standard liners are far from being warm... Eventually i'll spend some time and make neoprene socks for my boots... eventually... But I really can't imagine riding in -34...
  13. Nice, it's closer than I thought... Still quite far, but I'm sure it's worth it and I hope it's way better than Tremblant...
  14. I was actually wondering, how hard is it to get a mechanical engineering-related job in CO? Somewhere near Bomber Industries... :D
  15. Try USPS Arimail, it will take longer, but it will get there.. make sure to insure it... Where (what city) is it going exactly?
  16. Just a bit to the north from you conditions are ugly, but ridable... Supper cold for the last 2 weeks, only 1 decent snow-fall so far... Had a blast riding and ripping this weekend, hero snow despite being ~60% man-made... I don't freaking get it, Arizona got snow, Texas got snow, but north-eastern Canada and States are sucking it big time... Sorry, don't want to start any flames...
  17. How long does it actually takes to get there? I'm figuring to take a day-off first week of march...
  18. Looking to get a set of softer than my OS1 bindings for an all-mtn board. F2 Titaniums would be perfect. INTEC only, either medium or large will fit and must have all the wedges (need lift!)...
  19. Me next in line.. Carv you don't want these, really...
  20. After all I went on Saturday evening... -14, absolute hero snow, not too fast, holds like a mofo!!! Haven't seen such conditions for a while. Had awesome time carving and slicing the run. Strangely enough, most softbooters were trying to carve as well... I guess me and my g/f were ripping and showing everybody how to ride... Gotta love this race stock FP 173, it carves like no other, but demands so much work... Anyways, if you still sitting duck, get out and ride, these conditions won't last!!!!
  21. They are sold, but not shipped out (didn't get the payment yet), so if anything changes i'll post an update...
  22. Somebody please buy this board from ebay and write a review... people are getting anxious!!! :D Worse case it will make a decent rock-board...
  23. Make sure to give us a report on that place, i want to pay it a visit this season...
  24. Last time i've talked to Bruce, I got a feeling he really enjoys making these RC-s... :D Perhaps, that's why we enjoy as much riding them... But honestly, D-sub is right, you'd have to talk to Bruce to know for sure.
