  1. I don't know what kind of reputation they have, but I've just remolded mines and the heel pocket on my rear (right foot) still came out too deep... As the result, even the tiniest amount of heel lift results in burning pain... went through it last and the only time I've been on a trail this season and I've only lasted 3 runs before calling it... Molded liners by the letter again, thought this time I did them at 240 deg 8-10min cooking, 20 mins cooling and 30 mins after-cooling.... Did a kick-ass stretching handjob before getting them in the shells... Came out much better overall, very straight outside, but I still get blood circulation cuts from second buckle being too tight.. and heel lift if it's not tight enough... USPS screwed for the first time on me, so I might actually be able to recover my standard one... Somebody wisely said "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"! Dave, Thanks for the quote on the liners, I'll most likely get them if I won't be able to recover my old ones...
  2. Given my rather limited experience I can tell that Brigestone Potenza supplied stock with most cars is rather good. However, NEVERY buy 4-seasons Toyo-s!!! They don't like getting wet.. like at all...
  3. Nah.. I don't mind, just that the more I read, more I feel screwed up having changed not such a bad boots, with not such a bad (compared to Intuitions) standard liners, for a pair of older boots with newer Intuitions... I didn't want to spend a fortune on new liners to begin with.. But i'm afraid I'll pay the double at the end... Gonna try remolding and stretching them tonight... not sure of the outcome, but I'll do everything to get them right.. or kill them completely... P.S. anybody knows a decent bootfiter in Montreal area? Sharks? I've only done footbeds with them and I know for sure they prefer selling standard liners...
  4. Dave, I've sent you an e-mail about standard liners... My Intuitions are black/golden-yellow outside and lime-green on the inside.. Just got them with a pair of boots... I'm somewhat pissed off, i only changed my boots because standard liners were rather cold and were getting wet after first couple of descents... but they were comfy! Intuitions are way wormer, but as far as comfort goes... duh... Another thing i've noted, SB 225's felt somewhat stiffer with these intuitions than Suzukas with standard ones... ??? After so much talking about 225 = Lemans... I'm somewhat confused...
  5. Nice... So it won't get any worse at this point?
  6. When liners are heated up, the whole bottom shrinks rather noticeably. I was wondering if they should be a hassle to stretch out when getting my feet in, or it's just me not getting them hot enough? In any case my first molding ended up being unridable... Have to redo it...
  7. We really need a finger in the smilies section.... East coast is still sucking big time... no ice, no snow, nothing... like NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!
  8. It hasn't changed much, still too narrow and there are still only 2 or 3 trails where you can really rail it, esp. after grooming... But if I had to choose between St-Sauveur (the main mountain including Avila) and Bromont, i'll go to Bromont... Though Olympia stays my favorite so far, best blue run to lay it out full speed...
  9. I'm afraid that is his only option, I wouldn't ride until it heals at all... Otherwise it will get worse...
  10. Looking to buy a set of racing tongues to stiffen up my boots. SB-style, medium-sized (27 mondo boots). Alex
  11. Yeah.. thanks!!! Anybody wants my Coiler while it's still worth something and might be of some use?
  12. When buying Raichle, or Deeluxe boots it is generally recommended to get at least 1 size smaller (I know people who're perfectly comfortable in 2 sizes smaller Raichles) in comparison to Head boots. I'm 28-28-5 mondo, and these were perfect for my liking... Sales rep was rather amazed that i've asked for 27's, but I knew what I was doing... This being said, everybody are different, and all depends on the kind of fit you're looking for. However, I'm convinced that these boots will be way too large for you. I'd recommend you making a trip to a local shop and actually trying some boots on to find the model and size which suits you. Good luck!
  13. Boots are sold to a fellow-carver from Colorado!!! All those who didn't dare going further than "I'm interested"... sorry guys, at the price I was selling these Suzuka-s, first came first served... <a href="http://imageshack.us"><img src="http://img480.imageshack.us/img480/8286/sg1l0065cj5.jpg" border="0" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us" /></a><a href="http://imageshack.us"><img src="http://img357.imageshack.us/img357/5135/sg1l0063sd8.jpg" border="0" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us" /></a> <a href="http://imageshack.us"><img src="http://img278.imageshack.us/img278/8409/sg1l0054ft9.jpg" border="0" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us" /></a>
  14. I'm ready to make some fire on the back yard tonight and dance butt-naked all night long worshiping global warming spirits... perhaps they will be kind enough to dump at least something up here... ple-e-e-e-e-se!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Do you have any decent spots in Calgary area for kite surfing and spearfishing during the summer?
  16. Well, so far it looks like we're having a record lack of snow... Last year was miserable, I'm having some doubts about this one as well... Should fallow the oil trend and move to Alberta...
  17. What else can I say? Weather is going nuts... so do i...
  18. Jim, I'm not looking for boots, liners only... John, Let me get home from work, I'll see whichever fits better...
  19. I'd gladly buy them from you!! :-) I know it's a wrong section I'm posting in, but I doubt that potential sellers of what i'm looking fro are checking the "looking for" section too often... My g/f needs a new pair, since the old one got all warped and sticky... Hell knows why... got them like this... and she doesn't want to hear about Thermoflex...
  20. Actually there is quite a lot of carvers in MTL area, not much snow and carving-friendly trails though... Hot Blast is a fun generator... however, you actually have to do some work while riding it... Coilers, Doneks with WCC are like tuned Cadillacs, super stable and super damp at any speed, and they are just as expensive as any other brand new board out there... There is plenty of FPs and other more than decent used boards in classifieds and on eBay... I can get you in touch with a guy who has a very nice 17%-sh Proton for about 200$ shipped...
  21. It is not a bad idea to use any kind of anti-seize compound on your threads just to keep them healthy and to avoid occasional "stripped heads" topics in the forum... No WD40 though!!!
  22. Yet, I think that the most elegant solution to this "problem" lays on the tip of these set-screws... But I don't see it as such a big problem to begin with, just keep them tights and they will outlast everything else that could break on these bindings...
  23. Derf, Imho, this solution is rather arguable... You solving one problem but you’re creating another one... Plates aren’t the only thing flexing there.. Your center disks are really going bananas as well...
