  1. If you're about to order a brand new one (i thought you want to get the one from eBay), why not get RC-II 180 instead? With WCC and slightly larger SCR (12.7 vs standard RC's 11.5) it would be a really sweet and friendly ride...
  2. That would be like trading a supped-up Civic for a freight train on magnetic drive...
  3. Rather than wear fake i prefer to admit having blown all my money on sporting equipment and wear cheap Seiko... However, as much as I like good watches, for some reason I got tired wearing them... hell knows why, just realized that mine was laying without being winded for a while now... Gives me a reason to chase down cute chicks on slopes, just to ask them for the time...
  4. I'm planning on hitting the slope on Saturday's morning... Yeah, I know, it's freaking cold, it's Saturday, but I want to ride and this weekend is rather busy for me... In case if anybody wants to join, i'm on Olympia at the opening... Will be lucky to last 4 hours...
  5. Gotta love these "Heard on the Slopes" threads... One thing i've noticed in Montreal area, people are kinda shy of hardbooters... or maybe that's because i look like the russian guy from Rocky-3... Anyways, I hear very often people whispering in lift lines or off the lift "Oh, that's one of these racers!!!", as if I was from another planet... Occasional jibber would pop on a lift with me and ask some questions, i've been asked to race with them a few times.. had to refuse, I can't bomb the slope like these punks do... I have yet to hear the "slope-destroyer" one, I guess it isn't that much of an issue on the East Coast...
  6. Jump on it if you can-killer beginner rider for big guys...
  7. Back in the days when I was trying to figure-out the skidding thing on softies, I saw a hardbooter straight-lining in order to get to a wider part of the run i guess... anyways, one thing i've noticed, he was holding his hands behind his back... That looked really odd, kind of a penguin skiing... but when i got on hardboots, i've picked up the same habit... turns out it really helps on straight shots... Keeps me facing forward, relaxed and balanced.. IMHO...
  8. We should make a suggestion to both Bomber and Catek to switch on 12 spline (or 6-spline at least) drives... These are really sexy!!!
  9. I measure 28 on one foot and 28.3 on the other... I guess I'll be safe in 28-29 shells with 28 liners... The only problem right now is finding some, should have bought your Winds Rick, took me too long to think...
  10. :D I was about to mention it, but it is no-beginner board... These are really nice and fun sticks, sidecut radius is a bit large for a freecarver, quite stiff, but at your weight it shouldn't be an issue... If you're ready to do some work when riding, may give it a try.
  11. Who was talking about regular docs? I have less believe in pills than I have in healing teas... And I've never said that chiropractors are paid for nothing, I'm paying one my-self on a monthly basis, but I'm just more than skeptic about number of treatments they prescribe...
  12. F2-s freecarve-oriented boards would be rather soft for your weight, you may try longer RS-models, but for the price there better choices.. imho...
  13. I see your point and feel free to prove me wrong, but chiropractors make money from treatments, so more treatments they do, more money they get... Excuse me my skepticism, originally I came from a society were medical care was free and was 100 times better than what we have to pay for, so I have real issues believing these really honest "specialist" who's salary is a direct function of treatments number... But that's just me...
  14. It's too small for you weight and these foam Rossi-s are on a soft side as well... Either one Coiler or Donek in classifieds would be really sweet...
  15. You see, these race stock FP-s love it wide open... Some might find them a bit too fast though... just a bit...
  16. What?! At 230lbs FP would be a real poppy... Started on a soft-ass freestyle stick with clickers... Couldn't figure-out the skidding thing, so I got into carving quite naturally...
  17. Somebody from Alberta was selling race stock Factory Primes 185 for 200lbs+ guys... might be a perfect fit...
  18. +1 for Intecs... No going back to standards for me either...
  19. If you're happy with SnowPros, you'll be REALLY happy with Ti-s.. Just make sure to flip the clip when you're skating towards and off the lift, it tends to dig into the snow....
  20. Deal pending to a fellow carver from pow-heaven...
  21. Being in States why not get a Donek Axxess? Besides, Donek's turn-around time seems to be very fast if you want a stiffer version... just a thought...
  22. Was crawling around the office and dreaming about an ice-pack... and then I had a breakthrough!!! Soft drink cans!!! Bloody hell these are cold... Just a thought... might be of help for somebody else suffering from this syndrome...
  23. I should've posted the price, getting lots of messages asking that.. I was looking to get 150$CAN +SH for them..
  24. Thanks guys! You seem to ride 0.5 larger than your mondo size, so at 28 I should be safe with 28.5... Wish I could try some...
