  1. Looks like i've got shafted by the buyer, no payment and it's the end of season... Anyways, boots are back on the market!
  2. Ain't a problem for me, my foot are usually shot after 10 runs, so I do actually appreciate sometimes to be able to relax in a lift line... I will bring my full-face though, just in case... just in case...
  3. It's the upcoming Monday after all, my g/f can only go on weekends or during the same m@$@#$ f@#$@#$ school break... I choose the school break and I hope it won't be too bad....
  4. I recall you had a bit more pictures to show?
  5. If everything works out, 3'rd week of march, i'm there on Thursday PM... Gonna scare the sh@#$t out of noobs and "ruining" green runs on Olympia for now... :D
  6. Damn it... I don't feel like doing 3.5 hours of road to do some human-gating... I don't enjoy driving that much nor I enjoy crowds of teenagers on vacation... Screw it, Massif will be still around after these 2 weeks of school break... Right? How is it on Thursdays during normal period?
  7. Yeah I know... if it was only up to me I'd go the week after... Actually I'm still debating on that and I might still move to another week...
  8. Guys, i'm planning to hit Le Massif the upcoming Monday. Could somebody suggest the best carvable runs? And which board is it better to bring? I really enjoy riding my stiff GS-built Factory Prime, but I also have a soft Oxy which can get donut-shaped at any speed...
  9. It feels like early spring up here as well... I'm afraid we gonna have another brutal end of the season... damn last year it just hit above zero+rain for a week in mid-march and the season was over...
  10. I'd love to see somebody greasing the cable housing with Bomber Butter... :D gabrielo, Usually by the time that cable needs lubricating it's busted anyways and in most cases it ain't a bad idea to replace heels as well... That being said, I remember using a chain lubricant with Teflon for my bike's cables, bought in a local bike shop... really good stuff...
  11. I found it better for my knees to stand on the toeside edge, meaning stomach down... Trying to stand from "sitting on the butt" - position is bit like having sex while standing in a hammock... :D Imho...
  12. Nice set of catalogs you've got there b.t.w.... I've got it as a rock-board anyways, turns tight enough for St-Sauveur main resort...
  13. I got KR72 a while back and I was wondering the same thing... board seems really soft for the length and SCR, feels really weired when riding... Really lacking some pop and feedback...
  14. 16 is a lot of kite to start with... Remind me, these X2 are high aspect if I recall correctly? Is yours 5 or 4 lines? how long are the lines and how wide is the bar?
  15. Friday night at St-Saveur Olympia was awesome, really nice snow and no crowd... Though I found that snow was really lazy... or, perhaps, I'm getting too good... There was quite a few carvers on Friday... more than usually in any case... I'm riding on Saturday night for sure!!!!!
  16. I might just keep tickling you for the sake of it... :D People are lazy, and the biggest mistake you can make is judge everybody taking your-self as a reference... I guess i'd better shut up, it's getting too personal... These who care to stop and think, had enough in this thread to think about...
  17. For some people making a difference between hex and Phillips screw heads is "too much", so how can you expect any regular maintenance from them?
  18. Being on engineering position I know a bit too well what you mean... But let's get back to these bails, the idea is beautiful, however the fact that it only takes one loose screw to f#$k things up doesn't inspire any confidence, does it? Fin, What prevented you from making real shoulders on the sole blocks? Or making shoulder bolts to go deeper into the sole blocks? Is it me or these shoulder bolts take nothing to snap if only a bit loose?
  19. Jack, I see you point, I totally agree, but having used a product which doesn't leave any room for such "user's errors" makes me really anxious...
  20. Try explaining it to the next guy who'll end up in a hospital because these screws have failed... These bails have to be bulletproof and should not require an airplane-like checklist before being used, that's just poor engineering (or over-engineering)! Not everyone is mechanically-inclined around here.... Linus, Is it the rear or the front one which failed?
  21. Given my addiction for science fiction, when I see a hardbooter, I always picture something i've read once: "a rabbit with rocket shoes"... :D trully!!
  22. Is it me or somebody else also thinks that it's just not a good idea to use rather small screws as a shaft? Bolts/screws are meant to be loaded longitudinally, not tangentially... There is a whole bunch of mechanical engineering geeks around here, speak up people!!! I don't want to start another Catek VS Bomber flame, but keeping in mind that it's the 2nd thread about TD2 shoulder screws for the last couple of weeks.. I tend to think that Catek's stupid-simple bail is somewhat safer...
  23. What kind of oil do they poor in? Gold based? As far a BMW-s go, my family's good friends got a 740 last year, 70K for the base model if I'm not mistaking... Had to be towed back to the dealer 3 times in the first 10k km... 2 times electric issues and once for the transmission change... They still kept it though... for other reasons... As much as I like beemers, i'd avoid new ones for their iDrive piece of sh%t... Unfortunately enough Mercs and Audi went the same route (Lexus/Infinity on the way)... I've been dreaming for a while about restoring one of the old 6th-series coupes... But by the time I'll have enough spare time and money there won't be any left to be restored/in restorable condition.... Somewhere in low 90-s was a major attitude change with all car manufacturers, marketing department took over the engineering, from that point cars have became no more that an appliance with precisely calculated live expectancy... Everybody started cutting costs and quality got flushed down the drain... Today's Toyotas won't stand a chance against mid-80s Toyotas when it comes to reliability... Once in a while the check-engine in my Camry rings some thoughts about buying something old-school, without a check engine, emission-gas-recirculation (EGR) crap, brake calipers that were made to work the whole car's lifespan, etc...
  24. 3M double-sticky-side tape? This stuff is mad, I used to assemble aluminum furniture with it (some parts), it was impossible to take apart if it was applied properly... Provided that they can see these spikes...
  25. I still prefer skateboard grip-tape, got a bunch of complete sheets from hell knows where, using them for both stomp-pad and tail protection... As a bonus it can be shaped in whatever one feels like.. Gonna post some pics later on...
