  1. I've had good luck with Scarpa branded Intuitions in my Heads. They are the full wrap version, found them online for about $45 so they were hard to pass up. Good heel retention, slightly taller cuff and comfy fit.
  2. Boots and Board still for sale. Make me an offer!
  3. Burton Junkyard maybe? http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://0.tqn.com/d/skateboard/1/G/X/4/Junkyard.jpg&imgrefurl=http://skateboard.about.com/cs/fringeboarding/gr/BurtonJunkyard.htm&h=156&w=160&sz=6&tbnid=NYULNVzAi5Do4M:&tbnh=96&tbnw=98&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dburton%2Bjunkyard%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=burton+junkyard&usg=__TJlwAz07FVoYVI_AUvMU5_5E3ew=&sa=X&ei=ELkdT9v_HYTe2QWm7LX0Cw&ved=0CBgQ9QEwAg

  6. I could do $230 net to me shipped.
  7. NWBoarder the waist width is 19.6 cm. Camber is about 14mm. I'm a bit flexible on price make me an offer.
  8. Its still available. I think the waist is about 19.5 cm. I was riding in the high 50's with size 29 boots. I'll check tonight on both sets of numbers just to make sure though.
  9. http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=35467 Not sure how wide this board is but it might be worth contacting the seller. Just a hair shorter than what you are looking for.
  10. They are saying December 17. Probably with White Lightning from the top and Whiteout from mid station. And the bunny hill if you are looking for a challenge. Forecast isn't looking great for Wed/Thurs with some rain and temps in the upper 40's but they should be able to get some snow made this week.
  11. Snowshoe in WV opened today with 2 top to bottom runs I think. Something like $59 for their "value-season" ticket.
  12. I normally patrol at Timberline in Canaan Valley. We have a family house down in Newland and were just thinking about running down for the weekend. We aren't open yet.
  13. Corrected fer ya! :) My wife and I may be headed down that way the weekend of Dec 9. How are condtions?
  14. I didn't see if you are planning on ordering a stock board from Bomber or have you been talking directly to Sean at Donek? If you haven't talked to Sean, pick up the phone and give him a call. The price is the same but Sean can customize the board to your size, riding style and needs.
  15. How's that joke go? Something about God, Skiing Texans and White BS? :D
  16. Are they still doing the MAC Tracks event? I went to it one year at Roundtop but haven't been able to make is since it moved to Bear Creek.
  17. The carving is pretty good here. We have about 5-10 hardbooters on the hill most weekends. Lifts are slow and I'd avoid holiday weekends but we have some fun carving runs and decent steeps. We also have some nice tree riding if you are into that and conditions allow. Send me a message if you decide to come up. I can hook you up with lift tickets and possibly a place to stay.
  18. Awesome! We are still a couple weeks away at Timberline in WV. I'm hoping to make it down your way this season. My wife's grandfather has a place near Newland that we are free to use. I've been there several times in the summer but really looking forward to seeing it in the winter.
  19. I can't really say for sure. The last time I was 150 lbs was probably the 5th grade! I'm 6'3" and 245 and I find it to be a fairly stiff board. That being said, I only have my stock Donek Axis and a Prior BX board to compare it too. Maybe someone else will chime in on its suitability for lighter riders. I would suspect it would be ok for a strong rider/racer even if they were lighter in weight.
  20. camber is still great. About a half inch I think. I can check for sure. The black Donek was a 162 SL, it sold last season though.
  21. http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=33244 Still have my 2001 Volkl 183 GS. I'll be in Sterling VA at Alpine Ski Shop on November 5-6. If you are interested I'll bring it along for you to check out. Thinking around $200.
  22. While they will probably work with the buckle type binding I'd avoid the shorty skis altogether. The biggest reason is non-releasable bindings. I've seen far too many broken tib-fibs with snow blades. Modern skis are pretty easy to use so don't limit yourself with the snowblades. You could probably pick up a used set of boots and skis at a ski swap for $100-200. There's one coming up at Alpine Ski Shop in Sterling on Nov 5-6. Sure you have to haul two pairs of gear to the hill but you won't be compromising the performance of either. You could put softie bindings on your alpine deck so you could ride the same boots on you Jib deck but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't even consider that.
