  1. maybe me on Sat. Mario is a no-go. He's doin' one of these: Definitely Shelly and I on Sunday!
  2. Glad I could help. I was pretty sure that was what JoelP was riding when I saw him last week. I knew Bola would have the solution for you, new or old. ;)
  3. I would see what Bruce is doing with the Metal AM in lengths over 172; I have only seen specs for Mike T's 172, which seems to be the standard. I'd go with a narrow waist (19-20 cm) because I wear mondo 26 boots, a longer nose for when I venture off the groom, etc... Nothing major.
  4. If Bomber cannot take care of you, call Bola @ (303)415-1600 after 12pm MST
  5. Shred - you da man! It performs better than I even thought possible. A sincere thank you. The only thing that might be better was the prototype/hybrid Schtubby that JoelP was riding. I could see having a 2 board alpine quiver with a proto/hybrid Metal Schtubby and modified Metal AM.
  6. Hey, you're the one that found "wove, twue wove", then disappeared!?!

    Rossi WC 190cm

Rossi WC 190cm I bought it last year from RJ still new-in-plastic. I never take it out because I never have the space to let it stretch its legs. Ridden five total runs. Sidewall on one side is faded, otherwise in as-new condition. I'll pull the sticker and stomp pad. I want out of it what I paid, $225+ shipping. Sorry, US or Canada only. edit -- oops, just check my records and RJ sold me the board for less, so I dropped the price to reflect that. Sale is for board only, second board kit not included:
  8. mario has had good luck with them several times, my experiences with them are 50/50
  9. Waiting for one more weekend to give a few boards their last opportunity to "appeal" to me before being send to the classifieds. Wouldn't want to do anything too rash... edit - ok I lied, just listed one...
  10. Yes, 171cm, 13m SCR, built for 180lb rider, me riding it (210lbs) on softish snow. I was concerned about the nose folding due to the soft conditions so I made the first run staying back on the board -- no issues. Next run moved forward a little -- no issues. Next run moved forward a little -- no issues. Next run rode neutral -- no issues Last run rode hard -- not even a whimper. I definitely enjoyed the board. I had good company for those runs too... thanks JoelP
  11. ah yesss, sank you son of Miyagi;)
  12. Same experience here. RJ is da man!
  13. Agreed. The "salesman" I got it from 3 months ago (it was still new-in-plastic BTW) bought it overseas from the collection of an individual who has had an "influence" on the snowboarding world for a long time. I bought the board to ride and am just curious about it's history.
  14. That is what I figure, especially since they do not list a 160cm as a stock size. When I Google Jun Maekawa, I get links to an origami master and sites in languages I do not understand -- how about a little help here ink just rike yo transration in otter tread
  15. Coiler Schtubby, Coiler Schtubby, and Coiler Schtubby nough said! I will be selling several, replacing with one, and sacrificing nothing! All I can say is find one and demo it!
  16. Looking for help identifying the year and obtaining some history about my Hot Blast. It is a 160cm STIFF Blast. It is Jun Maekawa's signature board. From the archives on the website, it is most similar to the '01-'02 as far as graphics are concerned. Anyone have any information? Google has not been much help.:( TIA Here is it:

    Hot blast

Thank you! Sadly the site still does not answer the question about what vintage my board is . I'll start a new thread rather than jacking this one.
  18. Gary, I have 1 or 2 sets of purple e-rings if you are interested. Dustin

  21. change "thread" to "post", but you get the point :D
  22. Pat,Please tell Larry thank you. I just received my new goggles. I'll definitely put them through the rounds at SES. Dustin
  23. Shelly finally got out in ~6" of fresh on her 5'5". She loved it. She said it was very surfy; her normal ride is a 160 Khyber. The board definitely looks fun. I think am gonna have to try a 6' + or ++.
  24. Cocoa will be chilled and awaiting your arrival. :D
