  1. Change your plans why don't ya! You could come up to Lovey on Monday.Refresh my memory, you arrive at the St. Moritz on Tuesday eve?
  2. Larry's style is definitely smooth. JoelP, Dave Winters and oldvolvosrule also have very smooth, surfy styles! You can checkout Dave Winters in this video.
  3. The sidewalls are tapered~24.6cm on the topsheet ~25.6cm on the base
  4. Woa... sharp eye Mr. Michaud. It happens to be Azdel U400-B01N - Polypropylene Copolymer wrapped around the unobtainium metal core. A special dye was added to the molten steel, from which the edges were made, so that color do the metal edges would match the color of the board. With all the recent discussions here on BOL regarding damage to metal boards caused by stiff bindings, we though it was best to encase the entire board in copolymer rather than just use some wimpy Lexan plates. You should see the bindings on this thing! They are majorly stiff. I think they would literally tear any other board out there in half! Good thing I had this board made for me in a special, top-secret laboratory.
  5. You might try calling All Boards Sports @ 303-415-1600. Bola has both sizes in stock.
  6. i'll measure Shelly's when i get home tonight
  7. It'll be there Tuesday.
  8. NASA let him borrow a camera for the day

    Monarch Invasion

We at least need a + if not a ++ since Bola wants us to make the switch from Tankers to the DuprazOne of each would be even better! :D
  10. So TVR, Mr. Manly Man, whatcha gonna do now. I've had enough of you harassment and bullying. Decided to take the D.T. Custom out for a spin this last weekend, put it through the cycle! A little race-carving: A little euro-carving: Notice the way I decambered that b@tch. Admiring the mountain at the end of an awesome day on the ULTIMATE board: So... you gotta pair TVR? Can you take them out of your purse for a few runs? You gonna man up and rid this thing?!? I'll bring it to SES and you can show the world what you're all about, beyotch!
  11. I believe that is the vintage that Jim Callen had briefly (until he broke it). You might ping him.

    Monarch Invasion

Ink actually has a 200cm Tanker. The Dupraz belongs to Shelly and it is the 5'5" variety (not 6'). I'll see if she will play nice-nice, but it's questionable, at this point anyway, because the board only has a total of 3 hours ride time since new.
  13. pcdenver can probably confirm or deny, but my guess is Larry Castruita (sp?) from Beaver Creek.
  14. Will do Michelle. I'll also put the word out to my peeps in that part of town.Dustin
  15. Michelle - if I were you, I would start calling pawn shops in the Denver area. I would recommend starting with ones along Colfax.

    Monarch Invasion

A bunch of us are headed to Monarch. Anyone in the area (tpalka, Lisa...), please join us! Concussed, Inkaholic, Shelly, and I arrive the evening of the Feb. 28th and ride 29th, 1st, 2nd. It is reported that big mario will ride at least one of the days (1st?) with pcdenver possible making a cameo appearance as well.

    new boots

buy the boot that fits the best
  19. Do the Tucker. It's a fun ride. Now that I know your weight, definitely have Sean make it stiffer (as we discussed in the other thread). The 5.7 stiffness was so-so for me (~210lbs) on hardpack.
  20. How much do you weigh? How much powder will you ride? Will the short nose on the Tucker matter? If no, then buy the Tucker; if yes, buy the Tanker. As Ink said, consider the Salomon Malamutes.
  21. Glad to hear he is doing so well!!
  22. Call it cross-training. I do not race but find that my riding ability has greatly improved by practicing other techniques that take me out of my comfort zone. More than once I have had jacka$$es pop out of the trees right into my direction of travel. Being able to load the board and crank a wicked tight turn in the shortest distance possible has been the only reason collisions were avoided. I also find that I am now better able to set and hold the edges in icy conditions.
