    Two VIST plates

SALE PENDING I am listing these for a friend. I should have the plates in my possession in the next day or so and will add photos at that time. My friend purchased these new, and each plate has less than 10 days ride time. The bottom side of the plates have been ground, decreasing the thickness, to allow the plates to slide more easily. Otherwise, the plate are unmolested. He is looking for $300 each plus shipping. Payment via PayPal. Would prefer not to ship outside the US. SALE PENDING

    Yo Lci!!

    Bunch of effers!
  4. I have several pieces of armor from Leatt and cannot say anything bad about fit or function. Much of their gear is gears toward motocross/offroad riding, but based on my experience, the range of motion and protection level would be comparable or better than anything out there. Click the link above, then "Protection", then "Body Protection" to see their line.
  5. The Dupraz has a traditional cambered profile. It has a surprisingly short effective edge for the board length, mainly due to the long nose. The short effective edge allows the board to turn easily. The long nose and pintail make it a dream to ride in powder. I don't recall how much she paid. All Boards Sports in Boulder, CO stocks all three sizes of Durpaz.
  6. My wife is a similar size and loves her Dupraz 5'5"

  8. [sacrasm] Thanks Captain Obvious[/sarcasm] :) I understand.
  9. Agreed, pressure causes the phase change. Same scenario as an ice skate.
  10. One pair left. Someone make me a reasonable offer...
  11. I figured that was your second favorite song, right after "Living on a Prayer" . . . :D
  12. It's amazing how after an eye-opening experience like that, how quickly we are reminded of the beauty in life and the things that are important to us. It's events like this that make us appreciate what we have in life. If we didn't seek the thrills that we seek, we would likely be bored and bitter. Those who ask us why we do what we do, simply, don't understand... There are also those that don't care to understand. "One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching" Whether it's descending tight singletrack at Winter Park, clipping the bars on a tree, then making the earth shake while attempting to displace a tree to a new location; launching a blind roller, at the apex of the trajectory noticing a 90deg bend in the trail, with the ensuing carnage resulting in a helmet literally exploding; focusing on the next gate, getting stuck on an edge, departing the run at mach 99 and trying to cut a tree in half with one's torso, or attempting to pedal up an erosion log at the apex of a switchback, eating sh$t, and walking away with the handgrip waffle pattern imprinted on the chest; we come back for more! We do what we do because it's who we are!! Enough of that filosoffical sh#t... Give the wife another big kiss, take a couple weeks off, then we'll head out on the singletrack and laugh at each other as we find ways to eat sh@t on a perfectly smooth, straight, flat section of trail, then back at the vehicles drink beer and laugh some more! Then we'll head out a few weeks later and do it all over again!! FF to 1:25. 16. No, you will not be stepping on any "hard boots" by leaving keeping this thread active - it just may not be looked at often as we have been using the other thread for 5+ years

    Yo Lci!!

We'll be up on Thursday, before heading to Vail for Shelly's pre-op appointment
  18. See the Yo Lci!! thread - we typically spread the word there. Most of us working stiffs are weekenders
  19. I'm cleaning out the basement and have three pairs of Catek World Cup bindings that need to find a new home... These are bindings that I have accumulated and never used. Don't take the next comments negatively, just communicating clearly and being matter of fact. ;) All bindings are as-is; what you see is what you get. Click on the image to go to the album which contains these low resolution photos plus the original high resolution photos. I will consider shipping to Canada; buyer obviously pays all shipping expenses/fees. If you have any questions, the quickest way to reach me is via PM. Shipping will be via USPS flat rate service. Shipping is included in the price if you are in the CONUS. Payment via PayPal gift only, no exceptions. If I don't respond to a low-ball offer, take that to mean my answer is no. I barely have time to ride, which means I definitely don't have time or patience to play games on the internet. First person to pay for a given pair of bindings gets the bindings. PayPal address is d(dot)turnquist(at)comcast(dot)net. Make sure you put in the comments section which pair of bindings you want. (Yes, the prices are different and will indicate which pair you want. By listing which pair you want in the comments section, you are confirming that you know which pair you are buying. ________________________________________________ SOLD Pair #1: Blue World Cup 1PL Bindings - $110 shipped to CONUS SOLD This is not the current design with the transfer plate. It does have the machined dimples in the baseplate for the cant/lift screws to engage. Some of the dimples are slightly deformed from the screw points, but will definitely engage the screws and prevent top plate rotation as long as the kingpin is tight. Come with the rubber baseplate rings, all 8 screws to attach the bindings to the board, and one extra kingpin bolt/spherical nut. I believe the "L" indicates these bindings are the larger of Catek's two sizes - it is buyer's responsibility to confirm! ________________________________________________ SOLD: Pair #2: Black World Cup 1P Bindings - SOLD This is not the current design - no transfer plate, no machined dimples for the cant/lift screws. The cant/lift screws have made some impressions/dimples in the base plate - see photos. Come with the rubber baseplate rings. No screws to attach the bindings to the board. I believe these are the smaller of Catek's two sizes since there is no "L" behind the 1P - it is buyer's responsibility to confirm! ________________________________________________ SOLD - Pair #3: Black World Cup 1PL Bindings - $110 shipped to CONUS - see new posting - SOLD

    Got Vist?

Yes, but headed out of town in a few hours, gone until mid-day on the 24th. Drop me a note if you're interested and I can take photos when I get back.
  21. It was either foam or honeycomb - point being, it definitely wasn't a wood core.
