  1. Where are you in MA? I can't help you in out in Aspen, but if you let me know your shoe size, weight & height, we can probably get some gear together for you to try here in MA. -Steve
  2. Found these the other day, looks like a similar concept to the ones in Crucible's post. http://www.hangtimeusa.com/
  3. That's the BX shape, but with the texalium (aluminum impregnated fiberglass) top sheet. You should see three carbon strips just under the top sheet below each binding. Fun board, I actually like mine more that the older BX with the carbon wing. How did you like those Phiokkas? I Never got a chance to try them out.
  4. Hey guys and gals, We're hosting a GS and SL at Ski Ward in Shrewsbury tomorrow. We'll be setting SL in the morning, and then GS after that. Hope some of you can make it out. You can find times here: http://www.ridemass.org and directions, etc. here : http://www.skiward.com Hope to see some of you out there! Steve
  5. Depends on the project really, and how much hand drawn stuff you want. If you have an idea of what you're looking to do, shoot me an email and I'd be glad to give you an estimate. -Steve
  6. It's a small hill, but they let us set snowboard gates a couple times a week. You could find directions on their website skiward.com. We'll be running some GS tonight, 7pm-9pm. Hope to see some of you there! Steve
  7. Looks even better in the sun then those pictures you sent me from Bruce's evil lair! Sounds like the shape is working quite nicely too! Don't mean to threadjack, but here's a link to a site with some of my other topsheets. I've been having a blast with these! Helps keep me from losing my mind at my real job! http://stephenfleck.carbonmade.com I know Chubz is happy as a clam between his new board arriving, and his Steelers pulling off the win last night...
  8. This past Tuesday we set GS. Was a bit rough due to the ruts from skiers training earlier in the night, but hey, no one said this was supposed to be easy:eplus2: I'll try to put something up when we decide what the plan will be for next week. It would be great to see some more of you guys out there! We've got a pretty good group of younger kids, and a couple regulars, then we usually end up with a couple other random people dropping by. The more the merrier! Hopefully Noah can stay in his bindings next week... Maybe time to pony up for some TD2's
  9. Hey Gleb, We're usually up there from 7-9pm on Tuesdays. We've been setting SL or GS, but the BX course should be up in the next couple weeks, so we might hit that up too. Let me know if your thinking of heading up and I'll try to get back to you to let you know what we plan on doing that night. Steve
  10. Looks great Jeff! I'm interested to hear the ride report. PM me some of those pics if you get a chance. Steve
  11. Hey everyone, We'll be setting some slalom gates at Ski Ward for anyone who wants to join us tomorrow night. Hope to see some of you out there! Steve
  12. Hey Everyone, We're running an alpine event this weekend up at Crotched Mtn in NH. It would be awesome to see some of you guys out there. Event fees will be $20 for one race, $35 for both, and I believe lift tickets will be $25 if you're competing. Event times are at www.ridemass.org. PM me if you have any questions. Steve
  13. I can't really speak for Startingate in VT, or for what the Coilers look like from the factory, but Mike D at PTC has done a bunch of boards for me and I've always been more than happy with his work.
  14. I've got a 165 Atomic Firestarter that's in really good condition I might be willing to get rid of. This was Atomic's top of the line BX board from a couple years back. Fun ride, unfortunately I just don't really get out on it very much anymore. I've got some photos I can send you if you're interested, just let me know.
  15. If you want to get into racing, USASA is probably your best bet. Myself and Noah (ncermak) will be running some race training at Ski Ward in Shrewsbury on Wednesday nights and Saturday afternoons. Not sure where you're located, but we have some other young racers riding hard boots, as well as some older guys who come out occasionally to run some snowboard gates. We should have all the exact details figured out soon, as well as our Massachusetts USASA schedule. You can check out our USASA Massachusetts page at www.ridemass.org Hope this helps, and feel free to contact me with any other questions you might have. Steve
  16. These are the first pictures I've seen of the final product and I'm pscyhed it came out so well! I'm definitely jealous... One of these days I'll come up with something good for one of my own boards. If anybody else is looking for some custom topsheet work I'd definitely be interested in talking about it with you. I work full time as a graphic designer, but this is actually the second custom topsheet I've done on the side for people I know. It's always cool to see the final product for the first time! My website is very out of date, but if you get in touch with me I can always send you a pdf with some examples of my work. I think my rates would have to be on a project specific basis. Gleb's board was ridiculously complicated as I made all the characters in illustrator and then laid it all out. (Yes, believe it or not the whole design is vector based!) But I imagine not every design would take this amount of time. Gleb, glad you like it, and I can't wait to see it in action out on the hill next winter! Steve sfleck05@hotmail.com
  17. Are you coming out to the race at Ward tomorrow? Come find Noah or myself and we can fill you in on all the details about qualifying. It's a little confusing and would be a lot easier to explain in person. Steve
  18. Unless we have another day full of rain.... The forecast is snow, so we should be fine, plus they were blasting away with the snowguns last night, so we should be in good shape.
  19. Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to make it up there. I do know a couple people who are going up there, so I could possibly send it up with someone if you're really interested. I weigh about 150lbs, but believe me when I say it would be plenty stiff for most riders. Especially for a 158 soft boot setup.
  20. The parents usually end up giving them to me, so if I get any of you I'll send them your way.
  21. This is a true twin tip shape, with a 25.2 waist, and an 8.7m sidecut. Full texalium topsheet, with three carbon strips under each binding. The picture doesn't really do this board justice. The Texalium looks almost like a metallic carbon fiber. It is stiff, and the full Tex topsheet makes it hold an edge like you expect a Madd to. Ridden maybe 2 dozen times, topsheet looks new. Base is in great condition, but has some small surface scratches from being ridden. Nothing major. This board is $800 New, willing to let it go for $350+Shipping, or I could probably arrange to get it out to ECES.
  22. As long as you don't keep popping your damn shoulder in and out of it's socket I'll think we'll be fine:eek:
  23. I think I have what you need Gleb. I don't have the plate for the vari-cant, but I do have another full cant setup I could part with. If you're coming on Sunday I'll throw it all in the car so you can take a look through it. My toe piece is the newer version, but I think they would still work.
  24. This was Atomic's top of the line BX board from a few years back. This board has a full rubber top sheet and built in rubber riser plates that are probably between a quarter to half inch thick. This board is very stable and damp at speed. It's been ridden maybe two dozen runs, and is in very good shape. Has a nice aggresive base structure and has been well taken care of. This thing would be awesome with some Catek FR's for those choppy days. Looking to get $350.
