  1. I submitted a short clip of three of us riding hardboot boards to Okemo's Marketing dept. They profiled it on Twitter and their Facebook Page a couple of hours ago. It's already had more than 2500 views! Video
  2. I decided to go out and try it anyway. I moved each binding back one slot and it seemed to work better. I may try one more slot after tomorrow's race.
  3. I've asked this question before but need some clarification. I ride a 170 cm Kessler GS board with Trench Digger step in bindings (58/54). Age 73, height 5' 8" weight 175. 3 degree upward cant on forward foot and 3 degree downward cant on rear foo (although the issue is the same when riding without cants). In years past my front leg did most of the work and quad burn was a real issue especally in the early season. The past couple of years I've experienced the complete opposite with quad burn on the rear leg. I'm also struggling with heelside turns while racing. I've tried to shift my weight forward with no luck. I seem to recall the someone suggested moving the bindings back a bit although a poster above suggests moving them forward. I'm not changing anything for tomorrow's race but would like to experiment in the days ahead. Suggestions? .
  4. Three-time Olympian Kaylin Richardson demostrates the Invisible Selfie Stick feature of the GoPro Max.
  5. I did a comparison between the GoPro Hero 3+ and GoPro Hero8. Note the difference in the head movement. BTW, I used a triple suction cup GoPro mount.
  6. I was riding my Volkl GS board in Davos a dozen years ago when I REALLY had to go to the bathroom. My rear Burton Physic step-in had too much snow jammed in it and wouldn't release. After 15 minutes of struggling I came up with this solution.
  7. I've owned GoPro 1, 2, 3+, Session 5, and now the Hero8. The difference in image stabilization is remarkable. Note the movement of my head in both clips. Even though the tip of the board bounces a lot, my head looks fairly steady in the lower clip. The color is much better in the Hero8 as well. Top clip shot in 1080P and the lower one in 4K I left the Session5 on a safari in Botswana. They found it but said it would cost $200 to mail it back! I told them to keep it.
  8. Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet up again. Getting ready to head for the UK tomorrow.
  9. Can't go wrong for the price. I'll try 'em.
  10. Found 'em at Western Ranch Supply. I guess you just drill corresponding holes?
  11. I was wondering if any of you had experience with the Jack-Up Stance? I'm contemplating using it on my 170 cm Kessler GS board. The price seems reasonable.
  12. Congrats on getting the MK. It's a sweet board. I think they're out of boots and bindings. I can defintely use the kids' bindings and the Raichles. Three grandsons all want to transition to hardboots. I can adjust Burton Race Plates way down but they're still a little too big for the oldest boy. We'll be coming back from the UK on the 26th. Looking forward to riding with you!
  13. I have a Toko Electric edger in my wax/tune room. You need to pull the bindings to use it but you're more than welcome to. Sapphire, 103, Upper Arrow, Lower Arrow are great for warm up runs.
  14. Weather looks crappy today but I might get out there tomorrow. Rode before the rain yesterday. Epic conditions and I had the place to myself. Glad you enjoyed it. The Burton is waxed and sharpened. You're welcome to it.
  15. Yeah. A lot of polyesters gave up their lives so I could have those sportcoats.....
  16. Me too. Had one for years. When I finally shaved it off, my 4 year old (now 45) said, "Shave it back on!"
  17. As of yesterday I would have been married fifty years except that I had eight years off for good behavior. Thanksgiving 1969 was on the 27th, the day before the wedding and the prospective in-laws got together the evening before to meet each other. We were all invited to Thanksgiving dinner at the apartment of Ron and Darryl Smith who were Best Man and Maid of Honor. Darryl had never cooked a turkey before but she set about the task with confidence cramming the inside with uncooked rice and whatever else she could find in the kitchen. On the oven rack below was a Corningware dish with a greenbean casserole. We were all playing charades in the living room when the door to the oven blew open sending the contents out the kitchen, across the hall and slamming into the far wall. In a scene reminiscent of the Road Runner cartoons, the turkey spreadeagled out like Wily Coyote and slowly slid down the wall. As we sat there in shocked silence it slid to the floor. On close examination we found hundreds of tiny pieces of Corningware embedded in the turkey. Ron calmly picked up the phone and called for pizza delivery.
  18. Friday the 6th? If I go to the mountain that day, I can take skis. I just have the one pair of hardboots so I'll need them back at the end of the day. . I had a pair of Rachle 324s but the guy that borrowed them a few years ago still has them. I'm not sure how to send PMs with this forum but you can shoot me an email at pmoore (at) snet.net
  19. I have several boards (including a 154 cm Hot Shine) if you'd like to try one and I have a set of Head Stratos Pro boots in 28.5. You're welcome to borrow them. When were you planning on trying them? I live a half mile from Okemo. Do you ride regular or goofy? I don't need a pass.
  20. Enjoyed the video. I wore the same type of head cover when sandboarding near Dubai this past August. Pay no attention to the boarder on the right. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try to put them into practice. Bending my knees has always been a problem following six surgeries but the knee replacement i got a couple of years ago is workng pretty well.
  21. Thanks WhiteHorse. I'll try Home Depot. Nice Photoshop work BTW! I bumped the angles on my Kessler to 58 and 54 and had no problem with bootout but I never felt comfortable on heelside turns. I shot a few seconds today using my new GoPro Hero8. I'm impressed with the picture quality and the image stablization. 4K at 60 fpm. It's shot on the widest view setting. Next time I'll try standard. I'm trying to keep my upper body more quiet but sure could use some guidance.
  22. Thanks guys! I used to run higher angles (60/54). I'll give that another try. Probably do the same on my Kessler 170 GS board. It has F2 race bindings mounted flat. Mr. Beckmann, I'll take your suggestions on technique as well. I know I rotate my upper body too much to the left on heelside turns. This was three years ago on my 178 SG board. F2 bindings.
