  1. Hi guys, Just let me know what gaps in the organization need to be filled.
  2. I think we have enough hardboot enthusiasts in Socal to pull off an event in June. I would love to help to make that happen. Lets stay in touch and perhaps ride together soon. I plan to go to June/ Mammoth in March. Too busy with bizz travels lately.
  3. Hi guys, I saw a few carvers on June and Mammoth, but did not get to ride together with any. A little disappointing. :( June is indeed a fun mountain, a carvers paradise for the books. How about organizing our own JES (June Expression Session) here. Logistically it would be easy to block a run off without bothering other guests. Food for thought maybe, would be fun. I really hope to ride with others more, I rode with 2 friends in Europe and it is fun to ride each others lines and push the speed limit. Mammoth was busy Saturday, rode June Sunday and Mammoth yesterday and both days the lifts and the runs were easy. Stay in touch.
  4. Clearly you haven't met my wife yet:smashfrea I am running out of diamonds at this point.:p Really I am. Keep in touch through the post or text me. Will send PM
  5. Hi guys, Will be in Mammoth also this long weekend and was hoping to persuade my bomber wife to do June one day, never been there. But let me know where you guys are at. I will be riding my Donek GS195, so pretty easy to recognize.
  6. Hi Randy, Like Nekdut said, stay away from the bottom, Canyon Express and Stump Alley if possible. I would recommend Chair 9, never that busy and a couple of nice runs with nice steep sections to go full blast carving. Also Chair 23 all the way down to main lodge, long ass run, steep at top but smooth and fast when the conditions are packed powder. I might be there as well that weekend. Look for tall guy riding a Donek GS195. Rolf
  7. Hi Luca, Like many said there is plenty of stuff to go around. Getting good fitting hardboots should be on the top of your list though. If they hurt, it will screw up your ride whatever you strap on to. You should come to a day that there are a few of us in Snow Summit, I got an Oxbow Worldcup 170 with step-ins you could borrow for fun. The Burton Alp is not bad to get the hang of it, not as stiff as the FP though which I have also in my collection. Look forward to seeing you out there. Perhaps Sunday 1/10
  8. Hi guys and girls, Up at Northstar tomorrow Saturday 12-26. Riding my new Donek GS 195!!! for the first time. Probably very easy the spot as I will the only only carver out there.
  9. Hi guys, I will be up at Squaw. I really look forward to ride with other carvers. Happy Holidays everyone!!!
  10. Ah well, what the heck. Why not. Dibs on the V-0 XL though. I will bring some step ins to mount.
  11. Hi, I already have the FP 173 and love it still. I hope to find a 185 or a Blitz. Plenty boards out there, still have plenty myself but wish to diversify my speed and style.
  12. Hi guyz, I won't heading up to Summit Sunday like many of you. But to kick my season off I am going a bit more local, hoping that the forecasts are right and that more snow is coming. If anybody wishes to join, let me know. I will be joined by crazy fast skiers and I will be teaching a good friend his first turns. I hope to get him hooked on carving too.:p Will be riding my Oxbow Worldcup. Have fun this weekend. PS. Do not eat the yellow snow
  13. Hi Moonshiner, I have a pair of Fritschi's step-ins still here. Good shape, not used that much and treated with respect as all my stuff, wife is a different story though. There is actually a picture of the binding in this post. These bindings have a springloaded clip which snaps over the toe once you stick your boot in, heel first of course. Note that this binding although very tight has a little flex compared to full metal/ aluminum. So if you are a 200 lbs+ or extremely powerful rider, I would not recommend it, but otherwise for freecarving its fine.
  14. Hi guyz, maybe...lets see what Oldskool finds out this week. Would be fun to ride even for a few hours. Wife has new skis, rather do Mammoth, but that is not fully happening yet. Arclite- Wanna carpool? I am in Chatsworth,Topanga and 118, easy.
  15. Might be there for T-day. Kinda depends on last minute conditions. I look forward to my first carves this season, wife has new crazy skis so she is hyped. I expect hard pack conditions, so 1.5 days will probably do the trick. Cornice might be good all the way to Main, always a fun leg burner run at full speed. Keep posting:biggthump
  16. Hi guys, I really look forward ride with some more carvers this year. Although my crazy fast skiing wife is fun, but dominating a few runs with some brothers (and sisters) in arms would be fun. As I write this post I have not checked Summit conditions. I am so hyped to get on the mountain. Lets keep this post going and make something happen.
  17. This board is awesome!!! Still have it? Seriously interested., po May I ask your weight and height? How would you describe the flex, even for this length, popping tail? Does this board have to be ridden active/ aggressively or can you high speed cruize and dive into turns and hold (which is more my style)? I like extended Euro carves (Euro myself) for as long as possible.
  18. BOARD IS SOLD BTW still have some bindings laying around if anybody is interested. Thank you Snowjob!!! Note to others, there will be more Oxygen's posted in the near future. Keep your eyes open for Surlyguy.
  19. Hi, do you have a pic of the camber? These boards do rock, tested them in Austria years ago.
  20. Hi, The board is still here but I have a few people now seriously interested. As for your question. I would NOT recommend this board for you. You are a big guy and you would over ride it fast because of this board's flex. I advise a stiffer board. I am sure that there are still a few Burton Factory Primes or Speeds out there for not a lot of money. F2 SilberPfeil, Donek or Swoard. At least you are looking at the right length, go for a bit more width for all mountain riding.
  21. Snowjob, can you please email me and enable receipt of return emails on your Bomberonline User CP. This is blocked.
  22. Weird that you did not get the email. Either way, I am in Chatsworth, CA which is the northern part of the Valley (Los Angeles), not really close to Fountain Valley. But I am flexible. Paypal is a service that allows you to "link" an email to your bank account. So you can use your email address (password protected of course) to send and receive money. Very secure. Ebay transactions usually go that way.
