  1. Kent,I totally agree with you. I actually shot an email directly to RJ by accident. I described the feel of the board the same way. I have the 2002 Limited. I also have a problem with the stability at high speed. I prefer stiffer boards also. Yet the board has a lot to offer. To each their own style. :p
  2. Got my mail? So if you want to test my board this weekend in Mammoth let me know. :p
  3. Hey guys. I am looking for a good set of used bindings. Any Intec system will do. Just getting sick of switching the bindings I already have between my boards. TD's, F2 Titaniums, Head X-4. Thanks for your help.:p
  4. Still have the Titanium bindings???? Let me know, please!!! Thanks.:p
  5. I wish I still had mine. These things are killers. Getting up to high speed they are very unstable and not to mention try to stop in time, no way!!! Does it still have the little fins on the bottom that prevent you from scidding a turn and that ridiculous emergency brake system, aaaaarrrgh. Definately collectors items, or if you want to steel the show amongst the youngsters and the oldskoolers. I would love to get one for my own collection. I had one in 1987, the same year I fell in love with my first Burton Cruzer 165 and started snowboarding. In those days the Swing Bo's were the bomb in Italy and France. Well, if one of you guys have one for sale, let me know. :D I think I have a picture somewhere with me doing my first run on the Swing Bo, see if I can find it.
  6. Hi, I have tested the Black Death II a couple of times. The board is somewhat unforgiving, esspecially at slow speed. Yet grip on hardpack or ice is excellent. Once you are up to speed it is stable and it sticks in the turn like a F1 race car. And I also agree these boards are not for crowded slopes. It really lets itself turn in various radius turns if you are up to speed or somewhat build beefy. The rebound also lets you fly into turns, jibbing the board 1 foot of the ground onces you change direction. Fun. Do not hit moguls, good luck. Your knee caps will be launched. They are in a league of their own. Ray, you lucky bastard.:p Hans, leuk om ook een Nederlander op het forum te vinden!:D
  7. Checking the weather forecasts these last couple of days. Small clouds, but mostly sunny. Highs in the 40's during the day. Friend of mine went last weekend and he said it was pretty cold on the mountain. So its looking good. See you guys out there.:p
  8. Just thought you might like that last piece of information.:p Have fun and take care,Bob
  9. Regarding the cable that snapped, **** does happen I reckon. But luckily nobody was hurt. Still remember that American jetfighter playing around in the Italian Dolimite mountains. Flying under the cable for fun. Cutting the cable with its tail and killing 15 people in the gondola, yikes. Anyways, Zillertal Arena, Hintertuxer Glacier is also a very cool region. Hochfugen, a small resort in the Zillertal, is known for its "schnee loch" (snow hole). Plenty of snow and a lot of fun runs, perfect for carving. Need more suggestions?:p
  10. Dude, Solden, Austria is definately the way to go. I used to go there every year twice. It has two large glaciers, and perfect runs besides that. And do not forget the Virus boards test center. Check out the website. Cheap logging in Huben. Have fun.:p
  11. Well, it is a start, at least it is gonna be the three of us. Thanks for welcoming me to the forum. Where I come from you see carvers all over the place. (Europe) So it would be kinda cool to meet new friends and tear up the runs. Guess I see you guys out there.:D
  12. Hey guys, Anyone wanna join me carving in Mammoth after Thanksgiving? There are not a lot of carvers out there. People still think I lost one of my skis on the way down when they see me waiting in the lift lines. See ya.:p
