  7. Hi, Some of you have seen my Donek GS195 posted in the classifieds. After chatting with Oldschool, I actually have been inspired to consider a trade as I always wanted a swallowtail for big powder days. Just let me know what you have laying around. Cheers, Rolf
  8. Would consider trade for swallowtail powder gun.

  11. Hi guys and girlz, So up for sale is my Donek GS195. Note this board is the most stable and comfortable board I have ever ridden at high speeds. Reason for selling: addiction to skwall, and friends and family members (read wife) cursing at me for going to fast on the Donek. :D Model TBrown Condition: 8.5 out of 10 Days on snow: approx. 30 days No dings or nichs along topsheet edge few minor scuffs in between bindings $130 PTC Tune Base is in pristine condition Note the above picture still has the fresh wax on the base. Specs length: 195cm Waist: 19.5cm Radius: 16.5m Price $275 OBO, plus shipping. (from Los Angeles, board will be bubble wrapped and boxed up to avoid any damage during shipping. Local pick up possible in Mammoth Lakes or Los Angeles, CA) Payment PayPal, or cash (local pick up) Cheers, Rolf
  12. Sorry, my custom build Norsk is not for sale or trade. Actually I designed and specified it for Norsk and Luke, the builder, used one of the most exotic wood veneer called Fire and Ice. The specs: Length 1850 mm Tip 215 mm Waist 138 mm Tail 189 mm Camber 14 mm Both Coda and Norsk skwals are quite affordable, both in a price range of $500. They are completely different rides compared to each other. The Coda is more flexi and is made for very easy smooth carves in any terrain, cap construction. The Norsk has more pop, probably similar to your Donek, and is build to be ridden at higher speeds, traditional side wall construction. So, unfortunately I cannot be of further service. I would be happy to put you into contact with Chad from Coda or Luke from Norsk. (http://www.jekul.com/jekul.com/Wilkommen.html) My Donek GS195 is fun to ride, but only a select few friends and family members could keep up once it started to run. Its fast and the most stable high speed board I have ever ridden. Works great in soft crud and powder too, just go full set back. But I have too many boards already. I still have my Burton FP and Oxbow Worldcup as well. The last is a rare board, given to me by a former Dutch Olympian. Still runs. Has a super fast graphite base.
  13. I had the pleasure of being in Mammoth and June last weekend. Picture of Sunday morning, September 22nd 2013.....not too bad!! This is only the beginning.
  14. Hi, nah, the GS195 is definitely not Skwal width; 195cm. Waist: 19.5cm. Radius: 16.5m. Its a locomotive. I have 2 other Skwals in my collection; one is a test board from my dear friend Chad from Coda. This board is used for promotional purposes and is not for sale. Its a swallow tail skwal. Its my favorite board to date. Great grip on ice. That and its a head turner too. http://www.codaboards.com/skwall.php The other is a custom Skwal built by my friend Luke from Norsk in Colorado. Beautiful sandwich of carbon fiber and actual wood veneer of the most beautiful trees.
  15. Hi guys and girlz, I am sure that most of you already heard. They are reopening June. http://snowboarding.transworld.net/1000209314/news/june-mountain-announces-december-14th-re-opening/ Hopefully this also means that they would welcome SNES again in February or March. Maybe it would be a fun idea to show our support of June mountain as a carving group on opening day, December 14th. Just an idea. Looking forward to a great season of rippin it up.
  16. Unbelievable!! Still for sale? Nobody has the balls to ride a Skwal? I have 2 already unfortunately, my wife will kill me. Wanna trade for a Donek GS195 in prime condition?:D
  17. Hi guys, Sorry I couldn't make it. Currently switching jobs and cranking out bizz trips to make a buck. I hope you all had fun. Looking forward to seeing some pics. June would be awesome again next year. Fingers crossed on those developments. Cheers, Rolf

  19. Dude! I will be up this weekend, just let me know if I need to do a soda run for you. (as you are not allowed to drink....legally)
  20. Hi Mike, interesting thought. You could create a narrower waist for sure, but I think that from a flex and dampening pattern standpoint a solid (non-Vtail) design might be better. I assume East Coast snow is similar to snow in the Austrian Alps (I am an old skool Euro carver). Just higher humidity and tends to be more dense which usually results in "chattering" at higher speeds. How narrow would you expect? And how narrow would your binding system allow you to go? BTW Bomber step-ins are the way to go on Skwalls. Because of Coda's Skwall width you can actually choose a more ergonomically relaxed stance, e.g. <90 degrees. especially those who would like to switch from GS boards to Skwall this is somewhat of a plus. I got cramps after just 2 runs at full 90 degrees. Today its no problem. Its hard to incorporate so many variables into one board. Its nice to just have a plethora of boards, but as most of us know, each day is different and once you are on the lift you always realize that you should have brought that other board because..... Cheers, Rolf
  21. What?I thought it would catch somebody's attention. Cool dude. See ya there, Chad will be there as well on Sunday.
  22. Anyone? Its so lonely at the top....:D Cheers, Rolf
  23. Will make any weekend happen, SNES RULES!! lets plan to park together on the right side (skier's left, from top) of the Stump Alley parking lot. Close to the tree line. This will keep us away from prying eyes somewhat. I am afraid that we might get some attention from some Mammoth Hosts who take their job a little bit too serious when we amaze the crowd with our carving awesomeness. Since we are a more mature and respectable group. we should be OK. Until then.
  24. Hi, Don made a good suggestion; Coda makes an awesome Skwall. I have been testing one of his creations for some time now and love it. The one I am riding is relatively soft. This is also mainly because of Coda's V-tail design. It gives it a very nice, predictable flex. Tight side cut radius of 10M, when pushed definitely tighter than 8M. Fantastic grip on ice (actually all his boards), you can carve it in any condition and at fairly low speeds. Its gets a little nervous at high speeds when not carved, but that is simply because of the side cut. This board allows my family and friends to keep up while I lay down some nice turns with a big smile on my face and get my carve on. I ride GS boards in general, which are just simply crazy fast and have a big radius. If you like a stiffer board, Chad (from Coda) can build you something custom as well, incorporating metal or other more exotic materials. You should check out his website and give him a buzz or shoot him an email. He does custom graphics too. These boards are great to carve and they are definitely lookers too. You wouldn't believe the attention and questions we get when riding Coda's down the hill. As for testing one of his boards, he normally brings his collection to local Southern California mountains (Mammoth Mountain). Just ask what he could potentially do for you. Cheers, Rolf
