  1. It's not just FEDEX. Last month one of my boards got damaged by USPS and it was packaged really nicely...yet they managed to damage it.
  2. also I wonder if this product (ironfix) is available here in US
  3. So did anyone try SKUFF SAVER (very cheap) or 3M adhesive (very expensive I heard) and what's the final vote? which one is thicker and more transparant? are they water proof? thinking of some kind of protection for my board(s).
  4. Great looking board though. I'd call Dean or Chris for some more info. I did. meaning calling and placing an order. I almost ordered it narrower (18 cm) , but then decided to keep it at 19.5 cm as stock waist. Looking forward to compare this side by side with my virus tantalus team edition.
  5. I saw it too, didn't really care...I knew what they meant
  6. Used to be a regular at the Burger King on Leidse Plein....it was niceeee
  7. A little selling etiquette would be nice... Couldn't agree more, unfortunately the problem is more common than one would hope so. I just experienced it myself a few weeks ago here on BOL. Let's just agree that some simply lack selling etiquette and leave it there.
  8. can this board really handle 90 kg with that length?
  9. Sydney is sooooo cute,...glad she looks nothing like her dad.
  10. I remember my mistral extacy (153 I believe back in early 90s). The whole Hoofdrop team (Dutch school for snowboard coach training at the time) switched to them. (partly because of the sponsoring of course). Nevertheless, it was the board that made tight turns easy for even grandmo's...it looked a lot better than other asyms at the time too....
  11. My overnight stay is usually around heavenly in some motel. But the next morning I take the 89 and 30 minutes later I am in Kirkwood where the runs are much better, the altitude is higher and there are way more carvers around. Having said that, I am planning to go at least once to heavenly this year and check it out (last time I was there in 2002). According to tahoecarvers the Nevada side in Heavenly is more carve friendly.
  12. My board forgets every mistake I make and I can start all over again. A woman would never forget any tiny mistake and make you pay for it a zillion times

Kriss, I emailed you about the prior but it bounced back. I guess D-sub has a point, what's the correct email then?
  14. I rather sell them on BOL and so I always offer my stuff here first to get a hassle free transaction. But in general the snowboards I have solds brought between 100 to 200$ more on ebay than here on BOL. I sold 7 boards last year and 3 this year. Only one out of the 10 sold for the right price here on BOL, the rest were all sold on ebay.
  15. Are these the same old protons or did they change something besides the topsheet?
  16. I had physics race. Rode them for some 20 days and then sold them as I wanted to move to regular bindings (got cateks). Didn't have any problem with the physics and passed them on to another carver who has been riding it for a season and half now with no problems again.
  17. Ray, I don't know. Without the sun I am missing the vicious look of the virus (I was even considering putting a virus sun on the back of my titan, but I didn't wanna be called names on this forum,...so I didn't ) Let me know how the 'no weax base' works, I am holding off my order to figure out whether this is something I'd consider. bobdea, Sorry if I misunderstood you.
  18. Ray, Where is the Virus sun on that rocket?
  19. Well I can help you out on this one. Last year I ended up dealing with a broken virus that was damaged during the shipping. I called Frank and emailed him a picture of the damaged virus. He made me another one and shipped it right away without any hassle. It took 7 days after my phone call to receiving the second board at my door all the way from Germany to California at no extra expense for me. Chris and Ray can both testify on this one. But in all honesty, I am not ordering my next extreme edition virus because of the service Frank offered. It will be just because of the superiority of his material and as Ladia said, I'll only live once. If you are happy to wait a year and half for your board with very fast email response, I respect that. I on the other hand, rather get late email response but fast delivery of my board
  20. Come on people. What's this attitude about 'expecting an email back quickly or I am not buying' ? Usually you are buying ONE piece of equipment (most of the times several hundred dollars and never more than 2000$) and not investing serious capital in some big company! These are all relative small companies. Let them handle the orders ALREADY PLACED AND PAID FOR first and then worry about inquiries that may or may not lead to one more order.
  21. Chris, is that you in your avatar? You sure looked different with your helmet on.
  22. It's a big step to order a board with that kind of price without a demo(speaking out of experience). But in my case, it was worth every penny. In fact, I am entertaining the idea of ordering another one this year. It's a lot of money for sure, but it's not 'expensive' for what you get
