  1. On it's way! And the seller even had boots I needed too.
  2. Regular. I just picked up another board, but I might still be interested.
  3. Finding out they are hard to come by this late in the season. Anyone selling boots. I'm not to concerned about what kind, even old reactors. I just don't want to go spend $450 for new ones.
  4. Now this is a board I remember well. I didn't have one, but my friends did when I had a Mistral Ecstasy. With all the talk about how asym is a thing of the past, do you have any input on how this board rides compared with a more modern one? I have half a mind to stick with what I know and get an asym.
  5. Wow, memories. Thanks, but it's not quite the same thing. I used to carve my old Ecstasy pretty hard and it held through it all. It was those experiences that made me really surprised when I found out asym's are considered relics these days.
  6. I'm considering buying one and I don't see it reviewed on the site. Anyone have any experiences with this board? It it a serious board? good for hard carving? Thanks, James
  7. I'm looking for a Mistral Ecstasy asymmetrical race board (163cm I believe) from the early to mid 90's Thanks, James
  8. Between 1992 and 1995, I always had two boards, a freestyle, and an alpine. My last race board was a Mistral Ecstasy asym which I regarded to be one of the best boards out at the time. Back then, asymmetrical was the only way to go. For various reasons, I haven't been riding hardboots since then, so it was really surprising when I found out that asym boards are considered to be relics. Maybe it's because I have not ridden a newer symmetrical board, but I carved that board pretty aggressively and never noticed the problems that I read about. My question is, How foreign will a symmetrical board feel when I first ride it? Will I have to re-wire my brain to learn a new carving technique?
