  1. .....wish you were coming with us this weekend Scuff. Last weekend was awesome. Got to see the Swiss and Canadian National Teams. Dan B says hello. Mimi as well. Hope the rocks.....er....I mean riding went well tonight! Look forward to seeing everyone at the Carving Cup. Anyone seen the wayward, Iron Man boarding coach?
  2. Patrick and Hunter (The G Team) are hoping to see you at Copper this weekend......assuming not enough snow yet at Steamboat? Ot at least the weekend/Monday/Tuesday leading up to RTTC. See you soon. Matt www.thegteam.com
  3. He's close to getting his VISA and hopes to be at Copper +/- RTTC time. I believe that he spoke to Jeff today.
  4. I have a 8 mm "deck" that plays - though mono for sound - not stereo. Just used it to transfer 8 mm tapes to my hard drive. Had a little tracking problem - but got the job done. I would pay money to see old Troy and Garrett videos! :) You're welcome to use it. www.thegteam.com
  5. ....to show you how it is done! :) Courses were choppy.....but a bad course is always better than no course. Those were pretty fun races - we look forward to seeing everyone there again. Winner gets a solo ride on the Magic Carpet! www.thegteam.com
  6. ....from Mike this week. The base and edges are incredible. We stay away from the base edge and just work the side edge and are getting two seasons....for a racer. Though there may be others that are good.....there are few that are better than Mike.
  7. The best guards out there......

As the parent of a junior racer, Welch is the perfect racing spot. Parents, grandparents, family members can watch the racers from the comfort of the bar if necessary and the safety of the riders (on extremely cold days) is secure with somewhere to warm up quickly. Within 1.5 hours of the Twin Cities, it doesn't really get much better.....and the kids also get NASTAR times. As Karl notes, please leave these hard working, good (many National Champions are located here in MN) and energetic junior racers out of this mythical issue....not racing at Welch would be a big loss.....and for what? For every angry adult carver there are 15 appreciative kids for what Welch offers. Please let us have our fun and just find a new hill.....and cause. We look forward to riding with you at Buck on Sunday mornings. BTW - the kids really enjoy meeting and riding with our local adult carvers. We believe that along with numerous other lessons, Karl and Troy are teaching these kids a life long passion for snowboarding - a life skill if you will. Riding with the adult riders gives them the sense that they can snowboard forever.....and we hope they do. Thanks to those of you that show up and encourage them. www.thegteam.com www.patrickhanna.net
  9. My son's "signature" board.....back in 05 before he could race FIS he attended the Grand Prix in Breck and got a number of signatures on this board. He rode it three times. It was intended as a back-up SL board but was never needed (plus he was afraid of losing the signatures). Now he rides longer boards and this one has to go. Board currently has storage wax. Length = 154 waist = 19 Best offer - but was hoping for $250 + shipping. www.patrickhanna.net
  10. From 05/06 season. This board was drug around as a racer's back-up board, ridden just a few times. It has binding marks on the topsheet with a couple of minor lift line dings. The base and edges are perfect. This board has that cool structure F2 was using that season.....this board is ready to go - no work needed except to take off the storage wax. My son is riding longer boards now. More pics available. Best offer, but was hoping for $250 + shipping. www.patrickhanna.net
  11. Perfect started board or for USASA racing...... We believe that this board is three or four seasons old. It was originally built for Amie Newton (sp?) from the Canadian National Team. She weighed 124 lbs at the time. When we purchased it 2 years ago my son weighed 125 lbs and appreciated the forgiveness....it is a soft board, perfect for our crappy, icy conditions in MN. He has moved up to a 163 Prior Metal and a 162 Kessler so this board must go. Standard Prior WCR specs....but softer and with a rounded tail. Full PTC tune this past summer. Shameless plug for Mike - this is the best tune money can buy! This board has soft travel wax and the edges are perfect. Best offer but was hoping for $250 + shipping. www.patrickhanna.net
  12. $trider We would love to be able to bring down our HS riders when you and Brent get the league going. Thanks for supporting the up and coming racers......USSA does a poor job of looking out for our younger riders. USASA has elimintaed or reduced GS & SL events in some regions. We need to keep doing things on a local level. We'd love to help if we can. www.thegteam.net
  13. We often take a few race kids from MN to Tyrol each season and the runs are fun (the night before stop at the waterpark at the Dells doesn't hurt either). The folks at Tyrol are very friendly and there are some pretty good riders. Our riders will not stop going to Tyrol until they can beat that old guy on the MADD! :) We look forward to seeing you there.....someone has to show Mr. Alderman the view from below the podium! Or was that $trider they want to beat? Oh - you also get a NASTAR times - pretty cool.
  14. If you are looking at the 157 at The House I am betting you can do better than their current price. They've been trying to sell the final few boards from their major F2 warehouse purchase a few years ago. Considered it as a Boardercross board for my 16 year old racer but worried that for him at 6'2" and 134 lbs it was a tad too short.
  15. Prior 173 WCR metal: $435 + shipping OBO Base and edges are excellent - with a Mike DiSantis PTC tune to start last season. Topsheet is dinged up (damn stubbies) with a very slight ridge in the topsheet where the board bent in its' travel bag up against the back plastic cant. My son took the board to Race to the Cup at Copper the season before last. Upon returning, his soft bag was lifted by the airlines in such a way that the board bent up against the cant and created the ridge. It literally looks like a ridge that would be created with aluminum foil. NOTHING else was damaged nor is the topsheet lifted/loose/seperating from the board. The edges were not affected and there is no alteration in the base. Patrick rode the board the rest of that season and half of last season until his coach insisted he get a longer board. There has been no change in the topsheet as he continued to ride it. He now rides the same board in a 177. Unfortunately, Chris' boards took a beating when he had the metal on the top - I hope the new topsheets with the metal inside makes a difference - the boards ride so very well. A little on the softer side, perfect for a lighter rider. We had fun polishing the board so it's quite shiny now compared to when it came from Prior. Paid $1000 and had the PTC tune. http://gallery.me.com/thehannafamily#100917
  16. One board for everything other than carving/racing. Was hoping to spend about $200 - but also looking for a good board....so "never say never."
  17. Pics up for Prior 173 metal
  18. Would be interested for younger kids just coming into the sport on our team. Matt www.thegteam.net
  19. Links included for four boards listed late last season. 162 Prior WCR with rounded tail: $325 + shipping SOLD This board was purchased from the attached link but never ridden. Ended up with a short Kessler. http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?t=19340&highlight=prior+163 Burton R.17# 154 Addicted 2004: $250 + shipping http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?t=20201 F2 154 Speedster SL: $250 + shipping http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?t=20280 Prior WCR 155 with rounded tail: $300 + shipping http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?t=20202 Prior 173 WCR metal: $435 + shipping Base and edges are excellent - with a Mike DiSantis PTC tune to start last season. Topsheet is pretty dinged up (damn stubbies) with a very slight ridge in the topsheet where the board bent in its' travel bag up against the back plastic cant. A little on the softer side. Looks beat up - rides perfectly. Only selling because my son is now 6'2' tall and the board is too short for GS. http://gallery.me.com/thehannafamily#100917
  20. Looks like activity is starting up again.....
  21. rhaskins. As noted, there are some awesome riders in MN....including some of the best racers in the country as well as one of the best teams. The "adults" that make up the non-racing scene are very close and supportive. My son rides with them occasionally at Buck - you couldn't pick a better crowd to run with..... Where do you ride? That's some pretty awesome gear for MN. We look forward to seeing you on the hill. Matt www.thegteam.net

    RTTC Schedule

Having a great summer we hope? May camp and Hood camp good? We need to talk about training in November. We have booked two weekends before then the weekend before the Copper RTTC and will probably drive out for the entire week before Steamboat. Kesslers riding well? Look forward to talking to you soon. Matt

    RTTC Schedule

Trying to save some money on airfare by booking very early for once and maybe using some bump tickets. The Copper Series website shows the Copper RTTC as November 18 and 19. In the minutes from the last USSA meeting, Steamboat was noted as January 9 and 10. For those in the know, are these dates correct? Will they stick do you think....is there much risk in getting tickets now? How about the third race? East Coast? Maybe it's time for us to bring one to the Midwest! ........add to the Spirit Mountain Revolution Tour. Extra points for a carving board in the half pipe. :)
  24. ....the MN Gteam riders and the cheese heads would be awesome. Patrick also can't wait to bring his new (well, used) Kessler to Tyrol and grab that money for once. We're testing the wax combinations as we speak. We look forward to hearing more about the opportunities to cross the border. Congrats to all of our friends in WI.....especially that Shredder. :) Matt
  25. Built for a rider of about 150lbs with a 20cm+/- waist. Yeah, needle in a haystack.....but you never get what you don't ask for......
