  1. ....but would consider 164s that are not Burton Speeds. This will be a GS board for my 13 year old.....would like the side cut to be over 10cm......or close to it.
  2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=21249&item=7119399185&rd=1 Item # 7119399185 All the kids are outfitted and I have one pair of boots left: New, blue Oxygen Proton hard boots Size MP 24 We have one kid on the team riding these boots and he is very happy....lots of adjustments. Just saw am 11.5 pair on Ebay today going for over $200 Pictures can be emailed.
  3. Thanks for looking everybody. url]http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=21248&item=7119396515&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW[/url] Item # 7119396515 Bought these new from Dan this year wanting to help out new members to my son's alpine team. What I didn't realize is that these bindings only come with 4 hole disks and each child thus far has chosen Burton boards (my son included)......that need 3 hole disks. New Snowpro Base bindings in black $75 plus shipping I have pictures that can be emailed....I gotta figure out how to get them onto this site.
  4. Thanks for looking everyone I bought a pair of Snowpro Race step-ins for my 13 year old about 1.5 years ago used here in the classifieds on Bomberonline. He wanted to be cool like his coach with step-ins.....but didn't realize the need to watch snow/ice build up with the set up. His boot pulled out once while running gates and that was it....back to his Burton Race plates. So here we go: Used Snowpro Race Step-Ins.....year unknown (unless the person from whom I bought these bindings with UPS boots sees this post and can help) plus a pair of new, black FAST heels purchased directly from Dan. $105 gets me even + shipping I have pictures that can be emailed. Not sure how to get my 6.1 mm images to load......does anyone know how to "downsize" images to 1mp or less using just Windows XP?

    Need kids gear

Kenton I'm sorry.....I assumed that you wanted to get your son riding plates....my bad. You are correct.....more and more freestyle boards are available in shorter lengths. Try Sportmart or Play It Again Sports. My son Patrick rides with the G Team training at Highland in Bloomington. He typically also rides Buck on Sunday mornings. He is 13 and loves his hard boots.

    Need kids gear

Hey Kenton It's great to see another MN boarder getting his kid started. I search ebay, bomber, etc. frequently and do not remember ever seeing a 105. There is currently a 139 on Ebay......I did recently see a 133. Someone on my kid's team is selling a 135. How about boots and bindings? Email me if you are in need.....I have a pair of Oxygen 24 Protons and a pair of new snopro bindings (4 hole only). I'll pay better attention the next time I am on Ebay and send any possibilities your way.
  7. Had to work all day and did not get a chance to call until this evening. It turns out that someone came in this morning and bought out all the Speeds? Was it you? :) I suppose we'll see some of them here on the classifieds or on Ebay? Sounds like it was a great deal.

  9. What size Speeds did they have? How much were they? Do you think they will ship? Any chance you either have the telephone number or could give me enough info that I could look up the number?
  10. .....the longer board will need bindings.....
  11. My son's quiver needs a longer board.....this sport is killing me!
  12. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7116051993&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT ebay item # 7116051993 I bought two pairs of boots for my son and he picked the other pair. These are absolutely new.....still have the tags....never ridden.
  13. Looking for a GS board for my son.....need a 154. He currently rides a FP 146 for SL and a FP 151 for GS. He'll be moving up to a 149 Burton Speed for SL next year and think that a Speed 154 would make sense for GS.....but am open for suggestions with a board having similar sidecut and performance. I also have a Speed 158 and Speed 160 to trade.....both new boards. Thanks in advance Matt
  14. Chuck...thanks for the comments. Kent Smith, Patrick's alpine coach, specifically said to look for you (he was very complimentary) at the hill in new Mexico. I'm confused as to the best method of waxing for the "heat" of Angel Fire and Kent suggested you might help. Patrick and I continue to be amazed at how friendly his new "carving family" has been....you're right....everybody is always willing to help.....the atmosphere is so positive . Traveling to Summit County at least twice per year, we have aspirations of attending an alpine weekend or two next year. We always hear such good things about your team and the quality of racing in Colorado. Having experienced the skill levels at this year's Trofeo Topolino in Italy, Patrick's ready to step up his game......and it's clear that the help he needs is there for the asking. Thanks We look foward to seeing you and the rest of Patrick's "carving family" at Nationals (he races Friday/Saturday - Breakers 12-13). Good luck with your team this year.
  15. Thanks for the comments so far......it seems that my son enjoys an aspect of snowboarding (racing, carving)whose demographic is more adult oriented. Windells seems to be a place you can send a child and still feel comfortable.....yet freestyle is their strong point (my son does now compete in halfpipe as well). I have also heard, however, that many kids get distracted by the "off snow" fun (paintball, skateboarding, etc.) and spend too little time on snow. I checked Gavin's website and it does seem geared to the older rider (not in need of supervision), but it also seems more in line for which I am searching. Maybe I'll just have to take my laptop and "work" from the hill. I did send him an email and will call. ....or....maybe I need to hook Patrick up with a team that is going to a carving/racing session, or offer to pay one of our coaches (G-Team in Minneapolis) to take a group as Mark Harris has done. Kent - can you take off from your new job yet? :) I will quiz as many coaches as I can at the USASA Nationals next week....I intend to hang around the SL and GS courses most of the time. Any other coaches here going next week? Thanks......Matt
  16. I'm sure that they exist.......but is anyone aware of summer carving/racing camps at Mt Hood or other venues? To complicate the question even more, my son is only 12.....I know that some camps will not allow an unsupervised rider under 14 or 15. I spoke to Chris Klug (over email) about one month ago and he has not yet considered a summer session. I also intend to call Windells to see if they can bring in an alpine coach. Any other thoughts?
  17. Wow....Kent sent his reply before I could type and hit enter......
  18. Funny....I wish my 12 year old would skid more......he can ride his carve too long sometimes. He falls as well.....inexplicably catching his edge. I'm sure that Kent will see your post and respond. But....I gotta wonder if that Donek is a little long. My son rides a FP 151 for GS but a FP 146 for SL. (He weighs 84 pounds.) He loves his 146 because of the turning radius, but understands the speed capalities of a longer board. Did fine this weekend on the shorter board, but fell on the longer board. Hopefully we will see you at Nationals? Matt
  19. Looking to buy a Burton Factory Prime 146.....or possibly any other similarly configured board.

    WTB - SL board

Looking for a smaller SL for my 12 year old. He currently is riding an 01 Burton FP 151......and I think that it might be a little long for tighter gates. He moved up from a Sims Carve II 148. He loves his FP....it's a good board for him for longer gate distances. I saw the 98 and 99 FP 146s on ChrisKlug.com. Any better quality boards that you would suggest in a shorter length? He's getting pretty good, so I want to match or step up in quality from his FP. I would also be interested in a pair of 02 or possibly 01 Burton race plates as well. Does anyone know for sure how small the FP went length wise in 01 and 02. Did a 146 exist I wonder?..... can't find anyone from Burton who knows for sure. "Check the ChrisKlug.com web site." Thanks in advance. Matt
