  1. 2. those are both Kings caught off of west side Vancouver Island -- one of them was a White King ( the flesh is white ) which weighed in at about 28 lbs is sooooooo good eating - BBQ with alder wood is how I cook salmon. The white salmon are consider by some the best of all. I smoked half of it in my Lil Chief and I had friends showing up for dinner for quite awhile. I go again in August for about 5 days - can't wait. We were trolling about 90 feet with downriggers and plug cut herring
  3. Not much for Bass fishin but love the Sturgeon and Salmon fishing. That Sturgeon is about 10 feet and 550 lbs or so and arms are a little tired when you bring him along side. Catch and release only since the big boys and girls are breeders.
  4. We will be in Whistler Sunday March 23 thru Thursday -- any of you fine people going to be riding up there ???
  5. Pat one old guy to another -- great job.. I am very envious. Double Thumbs up! :biggthump
  6. Dan, How about 11)Number of working hours lost per week due to reading BomberOnLine Forum Posts
  7. Your post from the Stolen Board Thread made me think of the Clint Video-- Here it is -- "IMHO, knowing people who run scams and how they list on ebay I'd say that board is hot. Also, the guy has skit feedback on ebay, probably ran some ebay scams in the past too. go get him!" The "Go Get Him" reminded me of Ed Begley saying " Hang Em!" Have a good day bob--
  8. Clint says be careful accusing anyone without proof. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnOWn6r9ceM&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnOWn6r9ceM&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
  9. http://www.etonline.com/ 3rd story down http://www.etonline.com/documents/dwells_arrest_080411_et.pdf Jail booking detail - if you read the story by the arresting officers you will see one of the deputies is named Deputy Hale --- odd is it -- since Alan Hale played the Skipper in Gilligan's Is. Do Do do Do !
  10. Bob, I withdraw the question .. I did not mean to hit a nerve. My apologies.:D
  11. Bob Dea -- Were you ever in the military? If so what branch and rank?
  12. Whistler / Blackcomb - great in April:biggthump
  13. Not quite sure what you are expecting to explain by the gross photo—every war with which we have been involved there have been atrocities and violations. But since you are showing the photo and quoting the Geneva Convention which outlines treatment of POWs – do you think that person is identified or conforms to Article 4 of those agreements? Article 4 defines prisoners of war to include: 4.1.1 Members of the armed forces of a Party to the conflict and members of militias of such armed forces 4.1.2 Members of other militias and members of other volunteer corps, including those of organized resistance movements, provided that they fulfill all of the following conditions:  that of being commanded by a person responsible for his subordinates;  that of having a fixed distinctive sign recognizable at a distance (there are limited exceptions to this among countries who observe the 1977 Protocol I);  that of carrying arms openly;  that of conducting their operations in accordance with the laws and customs of war. 4.1.3 Members of regular armed forces who profess allegiance to a government or an authority not recognized by the Detaining Power. 4.1.4 Civilians who have non-combat support roles with the military and who carry a valid identity card issued by the military they support. 4.1.5 Merchant marine and the crews of civil aircraft of the Parties to the conflict, who do not benefit by more favourable treatment under any other provisions of international law. 4.1.6 Inhabitants of a non-occupied territory, who on the approach of the enemy spontaneously take up arms to resist the invading forces, without having had time to form themselves into regular armed units, provided they carry arms openly and respect the laws and customs of war.
  14. You are correct in that they are two different entities - My point is it does not really matter if it is the US Army or Wal-Mart—Your “chances” of meeting those “standards” the Execs set are lower if you lower your requirements. Side issue - Have we not lowered our education requirements in our public school system? – Hence we have HS graduates today that have a tough time meeting societies’ standards?
  15. Don't think so Bob, If you lower your requirements you cannot expect your standards to be higher, same in the military or your local Micky D's.
  16. Well deserved and great timing- I believe this is happening tonight.. http://www.thenewstribune.com/news/local/story/230102.html <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JdDOExXqic"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JdDOExXqic" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

  18. Dr D-- this link possibly adds another "thorn" to this original post.. Bringing God/Religion into this political discussion - this could possibly become very ugly in 4.5 seconds. All we need to add now is mention of Noah’s Ark and we are well onto a launch! :flamethro:confused::o:sleep::(
  19. trikerdad -- Good meeting you there --How close have you come to shooting your age? I have been 12 strokes away, and I think that round included a "hole in one" so I have a bit of work to do.
  20. Volunteer ?? I think they lowered the requirements to meet the enlistment quotas Bob, so I believe we cannot meet that "higher" standard of which you speak. I'd personally would like to see the "draft" again.. What is wrong with serving your country- specially those seeking citizenship? http://www.wesh.com/news/14553422/detail.html <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCHTzumpk4Q"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCHTzumpk4Q" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hyy5xZkwsMA"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hyy5xZkwsMA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
  21. Quite a group from the 60's -- quite a story of one guy - here he is back in 1965 and the other somewhere around 2000.. looks like he has had a tough life. Interesting read to at the link. BUT what a beautiful voice he had and still does. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1sFy5_kmEi4"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1sFy5_kmEi4" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcFajLEjSDo"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcFajLEjSDo" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jay_Black :biggthump:biggthump:biggthump
  22. I have bought several items from Blue Tomato-- all good. Re: duty I think I paid about $30 for a F2 board - which is paid to shipper DHL. You might be able to call them and ask how much duty might be on a $XXX item.

It is a great ride too! My Arbor is a Quasimoto D70 - Koa on the sides and a beautiful walnut center -- no maple strips and cap construction which was made by Ride. Next year I believe Arbor went to sandwich construction and they were made by Option in BC.:biggthump
  24. Gotta love that snow-- and the smiles on everyone's face.
