  1. Interested in the Fires for parts if nothing else. Jerry
  2. Forgot about that. The old, old bolt pattern. Thanks for the post I would hate to see someone get skunked. Jerry
  3. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=0&item=7138938837&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW It looks like these should go cheap and would work for lighter rider, entry level, junior rider etc Jerry
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36294&item=7139060699&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW Not too many details. Thought it might work for someone gettting started. Jerry
  5. Just checking in. I would like to try to put a deal together as I am nearly bootless. Jerry
  6. http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5408
  7. I got these out of the box and never even got to put my feet in as they are not the right size. I went off the upper cuff size instead of the lower shell size. Best offer over $225 gets them. Thanks, Jerry

  9. And actual shipping charges if you pack them for me. Jerry
  10. I could only pay about $250. They look like great boots and they are my size. I have never used this type of boot. I would need to sell my Fire's first. New baby so no extra money in the snowboard kitty. Thanks, Jerry
  11. Seems like that is a Raichle boot model number and I have never really had good luck with them. I was hoping to replace with Fire but in my size. Thanks for the post. Jerry
  12. Hello everyone. I bought these sight unseen and the guy I got them from checked the upper and it said 27-28.5 so I thought I was good. The lower boot size stamped in is 27-27.5. Drat. These are the navy Blue, four buckle and they are brand new. They were shipped to me in the original box and have never been ridden. I really don't want to sell these as much as trade for the right size. Can be lightly used. I will try to post pix tomorrow. Thanks Jerry
  13. Still have the boots?? Would you take a little less? Shipping? Thanks, Jerry
  14. The serial number carved into the sidewall. : 177AM9979 - 6-8 The person who gave me the board is Greg Hargrave and it has his name on the board. Waist width is 7.5 inches which is 19cm I believe. Thanks Jerry
  15. Not trying to bust anyone's aaaankle here, just as a photographer if anyone asks to use an already published shot ( something like this ) for a noncommercial purpose I will usually say yes. It's just nice to know what is going on with your images. It is an awesome shot. And I will maybe go buy the mag. I had given up on all the snowboard mags as they seem to be mostly jib and huckfests that have little to do with respect for the mountains or have any real creative input of any kind. Makes me sound like an old fart - oh well. jerry
  16. Did anyone ask James to use the pic? He is a great guy and would probably say it's ok. Jerry
  17. this board is now on ebay. I had ten different people offer me $275 or $250. I put it on a five day bid with no reserve starting at $250. I put a buy it now price of $399 on it and i would carry some of the shipping at that price. Hope that some of you are still interested. I really did not know how to chose who to sell it to. Again no reserve so there it goes. Good luck and thanks, Jerry http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7133904521
  18. I am not in a position to turn down money. If you think this will kill my karma because I had another child last week and am trying to pay some bills with a snowboard that I never wanted to sell, then I will take the karma hit. I am not trying to rip anyone off. My baby is 8 days old and I am only sleeping about 4 hours a night so measuring a Coiler for waist width is not at the top of my list. And I broke the hell out of my last digital camera 5 days ago. Life is a bitch and then you die. I hope you have many good carves in the time in between. I will still try to measure and post pics ASAP. Jerry
  19. I was offered $275 and I think I will ask for shipping too. I am not sure of the year but it as least four years old. I have not ridden it in three. I will take pix and see who works out first. When I posted I was not even sure anybody would want something that was all mountain. There seems to be interest. I am not trying to jack the price as I think $275 is a good value and a good price. I will post with pics. Jerry
  20. Snowboard only. AASI. I have only skied 25 times or so in my life. Started teaching with Mike Shaw at Big Mtn. in '93 and got my Level 1 and 2 there. Have taught here in Sun Valley ever since. Hard boots only since 2000 or so. They just work better for me. Passed Level 3 in Sun Valley in '97. Northern Intermountain SB chair for AASI 99-2001. Organized exams and clinics across the four ski areas we served. DCL those years as well. This division is the smallest in the country if i remember right. I think it spawned from some old feud between some Utah guys and the Idaho guys because they didn't to drive throught retched Snowville to go clinic in Utah and the Wasatch guys did not want to go to Idaho because they didn't have as much snow. Since I started my family I have not even been a member and it started going very freestyle with mandatory airs on many of the exams nationwide and some other changes that were probably inevitable. I attended two national congress events that were joint PSIA/AASI brainstorming networking things that were awesome. There are so many good people in the sport in these organizations. Particularly after writing this I feel like an old dinosaur out there on plates and hard boots but a dinosaur that learned how to carve along the way. Thanks for asking, Jerry
  21. Jp there are several different things being discussed in the thread. I dont agree with all of them but I have been teaching for 11 years. If you are not a linguistic learner you will not be able to apply this tech talk. I am not sure where you are but until you could find a good instructor at the least go out and shoot some video. Most mountains have some sort of photo/video concession if you cannot con a buddy into carrying the camera for a few runs. I would love to give you feedback either mail me a dvd or something. The last thing that should happen is to have it beat into you. I watched "The Legend of Bagger Vance" the other night and what Will Smith was talking about in feeling the field is so true for snowboarding too. When you do it right it is like relaxing with an old friend and you can do no wrong. But definitely have fun, carve hard, take chances and don't think too much. Cheers, Jerry
  22. artnshel, I will try to get to the board this weekend (tomorrow I guess) and get some pics and specs. I think your weight is in the right range. I rode just once or twice when I weighed around 235 and it was obviously too soft but still handled nicely. I think I would need to get $250 for it. I will get some pics and stuff together by Monday. I didn't know if anyone would be interested at all. Thanks, Jerry
  23. This is an all white board that was custom made for someone in the 150 lbs range. Not heavy enough for me. Anyone interested and I will try to get some pics. My damn digi cam fell off the counter the other day and blew its top so it may take a day or two to get images if anyone is interested. I was going to keep it but now my nephew thinks that he should have it for free. No dice for him. Total days on this board is probably less than 15. Jerry
