  1. Who is up for some frozen groom this weekend? I should be out first thing Sat & Sun. Keep turning! Jesse
  2. Wow! I go on one little trip and miss out on all the fun. The conditions at SES were far from perfect (at least for board testing). I searched all over Aspen for good rideable conditions and all I found was grippy hardpack, soft groomers and powder. I finally found a sweet line at the hotel parking lot was not quite BM ice, but consist of a nice pitch. But wouldn't you know it every morning at least 4-6" if fresh ruined it. What a bust :( Oh by the way.... Bruce's boards suck extra bad out west. I had to seek out at least 40degree pitches just to get a tiny adrenaline rush. These new fancy metal boards are dooming the sport of alpine. The next thing you know we will all have to ride switch just to make things interesting. :D see ya on the snow, Jesse PS.. Are there any surfers out there. If so remind me to tell you about a completely trippy dinner I had in Aspen.

My vote is March 6th (my B-day)! After Aspen I hope we get some good ole fashion boilerplate to play on. East coast has to keep it real;) Jesse
  4. Man!.... you guys need to settle down. You're having way too much fun without me. At least someone is able to make some turns when I'm stuck in the office. I will be out Saturday, but will not be able to make it out Sunday. Which is for the best since I will need to rest the legs for next week. I can hardly keep myself from skipping around the office every time I think about SES. :D If I don't see you Saturday, it might be a couple of weeks. Jesse (Glenn's clone)
  5. Chubz..... will there be a maiden voyage tomorrow? ;) Must have trip report ASAP! On another note conditions may be a little interesting tomorrow. At around noon yesterday they closed the east side of the mtn. Both of the high speeds were put on ice hold. So hopefully that means they had plenty of time to groom. Good luck and make some turns for me. Jesse
  6. Had to miss riding this morning. Man am I MADD!!! Sunday cord it is....... Jesse
  7. e-mail sent on Generic.....
  8. Booked the flight and confirmed housing today. Two days ago I had no intention of being able to attend SES. I've been saying to myself just wait until next year, kids will be older, blah blah, etc.... Then my SO said why don't you just go, the kids and I will be fine, have fun. Took me 1/2 a second to change my mind. I have the best girlfriend ever :D. Solo pocono carver reporting for duty and my first SES... Jesse
  9. Thinking about making a last minute attempt to attend my first SES. Had Warren Miller's voice echoing around in my head "If you don't do it this year you're just be another year older when you do" (something like that) and can get frequent flier miles into Aspen. Landing Tuesday evening and leaving Saturday morning. Just me and a board or two. Non-smoker, easy going, early riser (first tracks you know) and this will be my first time out west ever. Willing to pay for reasonable room cost and help with fuel $$. Have several Bomber references if requested. Keeping my fingers crossed. Jesse
  10. Greg sorry to hear about the streak, but hey there is always next season! Tim and Andrea are both super nice, their kids have basically grown up with ours. On a more serious note: Family commitments will be limiting my slope time the next couple of weeks. Not too big of a deal, only the best conditions we've had in oh I would say ever :(. Have to help someone move this Sunday and next Saturday I have to go to NY. So I'll be out with Scott tomorrow and one of his buds and then not out until next Sunday. Unless someone convinces me to play hooky next week because of insane conditions. By the way Cafercr35 when are you coming out to play? I know Greg can be a little intimidating at first, but he really is a nice guy :D. Jesse
  11. Greg, Sorry to hear about your Pops, happy to hear that he is safe and sound. From everything you have told me he sounds super resourceful and should be able to get through this with very little problems. If you need help cleaning up or moving things around I'll be more than happy to pitch in. Good Luck. Jesse
  12. I second that.... a GREAT day! I will not be able to get out again until the weekend, so make some turns for me. I'm sure the Sunday night game put a smile on your face:D. Way to go! See ya in the trenches, Jesse He whose name is Jesse, is he who rides......
  13. Chubz just make sure you don't come out this weekend, I need to have all the knee deep POW to myself:D. Well it might not be knee deep, but it looks like our first semi-POW day for the season. It will also be Scott's first day out for the season. Hopefully he will not be floundering around too much. Have to watch the weather reports closely to see what boards to bust out Saturday. Osin & AM might be the combo for Sat and then the RC180 for soft groomers on Sunday. Can't wait......
  14. Saturday and Sunday were both good days; except for the crowds that were at full force by 10am (man how I miss 7:30 openings). Gotta love being 100% open by the first weekend of January. Calling Chubz!!! You have to get the Blitz out and hit Dreamweaver.... imagine a cross between Paradise and Switchback, but much wider and with a little more pitch. The snow was crappy on its grand opening day, but it should start settting up good later in the week. Now I have to rest up until next weekend.... Rode Saturday morning, paddled Saturday night and then hit the groomers again on Sunday. Full body soreness.... I must be getting old. Best comment of the weekend..... Skier on the ride up Challenge lift: "I saw you making turns down Razor's while laying down." and that was all he said. Not quite sure what he meant by that one..... Jesse
  15. Today was at least a 8 out of 10 day.... Good grooming, hard (hard) pack :)and just a bit nippy. All trails are open except Switchback and the new trail Dreamweaver; they should open tomorrow or Saturday. Felt great taking the Madd out for a little Challenge testing.... gotta love some pop on a decent pitch. Get out this weekend, it should not disappoint.
  16. Bomber went above and beyond by expectations last week with a warranty issue. I can only imagine how busy they were trying to ship all the orders they could before the holidays. Yet they managed to find the time to ship me a replacement part right away. (they even included an additional part that I did not expect) This is not the first time I received exceptional warranty service from Bomber. They have earned another loyal customer. Jesse Now all I have to do is save up and purchase some TD3s and Fin-tec to show them my appreciation.
  17. Looking out my window looking at the wonderous snow that has been falling for the past 4-1/2 hours. If it holds up this should groom out nicely for the weekend. Hitting the slopes 8am sharp Sat & Sun. Could we get a Challenge repeat this weekend? Chubz, calling Chubz..... Oh I forgot, riding might interfere with your recent hobby of stalking the UPS man. see ya in the ruts! Jesse
  18. I'm not sure how they did it, but Blue is opening (after closing early Weds & Thurs) today with more terrain. Challenge will now be added to the mix along with Blue's (in)famous sixpack. Depending on how much temps drop tonight; Blue will be serving up either a delicious snow cone or the much sought after Blue Boiler..... with a layer of dust to spice it up. See you on the slopes this weekend. Enjoy! Jesse
  19. The coverage is great; typical Blue base of 3-4'. The only good ways down the hill are Main Street and Lazy. Get out today or tomorrow morning before the rain comes thru and makes things slopy. If Blue weathers the storm well this week the six pack will be open by the weekend with maybe Challenge added to the mix. JP come on out and join the fun..... so far it has only been Greg and myself out there weaving thru the masses and being blind sided by snow gnomes! Until next weekend.... Jesse
  20. This weekend looks like it will set up nicely. I will be on the slopes 8am both Sat and Sun...... Blue will still be offering 1/2 price lift tickets thru this weekend Jesse
  21. Blue Mt. Ski Area Announcement November 26,2008 Now 50% off all regular priced Lift Tickets Friday, Saturday & Sunday Come and celebrate our earliest opening ever!!!!
  22. The only decent carving will be on Main Street (which should be good because it will be mogul free) and Midway which connects from the upper lodge to lower Main Street. They might have Lazy Mile open, but I would not count on it. Not a lot of choices, but hey it is November :). If we are lucky we might have Razor open by X-mas. Have fun!!!
  23. Blue Mtn (PA) will have its earliest opening ever on Friday (11-28-08). Unfortunately I have to work Friday, but I will be there Saturday at 8am. Pray for snow or frozen cord..... Jesse

Chubz, R & D must be done ASAP on this one! Reporting for duty...... Sweet ride :D
  25. Scott and I had a blast riding with everyone. I think that now Scott has seen more than one or two people ride hardboots it's actually cool. Highlights of the day: Razor's Razor's Razor's Paradise Razor's BMES (vs. the Blue Mtn trash squad) First annual scavenger hunt! I think next year we should up the prize a bit. Maybe a new metal Coiler....... Razor's Photo shoot Razor's What a fun time, lets do it again. Jesse PS.... Today was phenomenal at Blue... Good grooming, firm grippy snow, fresh blown on Razor's and no one on the hill.
