  1. After an impromptu session Sunday I’m really looking forward to this Friday. I do believe 7 carvers at one time is a Blue record. It was a blast meeting and riding with the Yardley contention. The weather is a little damp right now but starting Wednesday night the guns will be blowing and all will be well. I hope to see you on the snow (laying a trench that is) Friday. Jesse Meeting place: Valley lodge (Located at the bottom of the mountain, not to be confused with Summit lodge) at the Comet Quad lift Time: 8:15 (Lifts start at 8:30) If anyone needs directions please e-mail me.
  2. Mike, I’ll definitely be there early Sunday (riding a red Coiler) and I’m sure Greg will be there too. If Marian shows up it will be a local mountain record for plate riders. See you on the slopes……Jesse
  3. The 18th looks like the winner. See you on the snow.... Will post in a week or so with more details.
  4. Jasen, still flexing the Madd? I had fun riding with you at SVES. If you have any trouble finding a place to stay. Just drop me an e-mail about what you're looking for and hopefully I can point you in the right direction.
  5. Its been mentioned but who’s willing to come out and ride. It would be great to meet all the other hardbooters that ride my local mountain. So let’s see if we can get a general consensus together on date. I’ll throw out Feb 18TH for my vote. I think a weekday is a must. Are there any takers out there? Jesse

Jesse Moving this to a new thread.........
  7. Can it be, will it happen??? I'll be out early both days this weekend. Waxed and ready. Hope too see you out there. Jesse
  8. Thanks for the tips. I think I'm going to try and glue it in place once I get it out. I have access to a large supply of Loctite products, a retaining compound should work. As for angles I ride at 60+, but I do lock the lean position. I want to try a stiffer boot anyway. Does the AF or any other Raichle boot have this problem?
  9. I recently stripped the canting on my Raichle SB413's. Inside and outside canting adjustments are both toast. Ordered replacement parts but I can't get the screws to reverse completely out. Is there a way to disassemble without destroying the boot itself? Also is there a way to prevent this from reoccurring in the future? I already tighten the canting bolts every time before I ride. Thanks for any input.
  10. Glen happy to hear you got the Donek dialed in. First run on a new board can be a little disorienting sometimes. Greg had fun making turns Sunday. I'll be out bright and early Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Hope to see some of you guys out. The snow guns should finally being going full blast again by Friday. Jesse
  11. I had a blast riding with everyone at SVES 04. Mother nature definitely came thru with great conditions. I would like to give a big thanks to Jasen for bringing everyone together and posting pics. (From the pics I’ve finally figured out what I’ve been doing wrong on my toeside. Keep the edge on the snow.) Hopefully I’ll get to experience SVES 05. Thanks, Jesse (the guy that crashes good) Jim (Lehigh U.), if you want to do some riding at Blue drop me an e-mail.
  12. Chubz and JP1.... Where have you been? I ride at Blue all the time and have yet to see another plate rider this year. If either of you want to ride just let me know. I should be up first thing Thursday before the rain comes. Hope to see you around.
  13. Jasen, thanks for the info. If you don't mind one more I'll be there Tuesday. Jesse
  14. Does anyone know of lodging (cheap) close to Seven Springs? If I come I'll be driving from eastern PA on the turn pike. Thinking of road side not slope side. Any help would be much appreciated. Eight days out this year and yet to spot another set of plates. The drive seems shorter everyday.

Blue pass holder here. Been waiting for the ride board to be up and running so a post could be listed to see who else rides Blue. Just started riding plates last year, but in a short time I meet a few other hardbooter’s on the hill. (Unfortunately I’m horribly with names.) Can’t wait for the season to start so I can meet some more.
  16. Have to agree with JP. Blue (in PA) is decent, at least for Pocono’s standards. (Blue is my home mtn, so I might be a little biased.) Supposedly they started making snow last night and will try to continue until Saturday. Will have to check it out for myself this weekend. (I find Paradise & Razor fun carving runs) From my experience conditions are usually a little better at Blue than CB or JF/BB. (Haven’t made the trip to Elk yet) Weekend crowds are horrible at CB. My 2 cents. Jesse
