  1. Great conditions today!!! A few slick spots here and there, but overall a nice firm carvable surface. I was going to leave, but I ran into Eric during my last run and took a couple with him. Got to hit Razor's right after the race team quit at 11. Razor was the !!!!! Eric, how is your ankle? I hope it is nothing too serious. I'll look for you next time. I'll be out tomorrow, but unfortunately Razor will be closed for a PA race tomorrow. I guess it will be a Madd, Madd day Sunday! Jesse
  2. Well it feels like winter once again. I will be out Sat and Sunday early. Should set up nicely. Jesse
  3. I'll be there Saturday morning. There will be PARA GS races on Saturday, so Razor will be closed :(. I can only hope they groom the bumps off of challenge, either way there will be snow to carve on. Jesse
  4. Emorris I was out first thing Sat, but left around 11. The crowds were getting a little rough, conditions we not too bad though. Sorry I did not see you. Sunday on the other hand was another matter. Just had one of those days were I just did not feel it. Variable conditions (just about everything you could imagine from loose sugar, mashed potatoes, small sections scrapped down to the base, etc.) and add that to completely flat light = you better be on your A-game or just be content messing around. Oh well, good thing there is next weekend. Jesse
  5. I'll be out both days, Chubz might be making some turns too. I usually ride 8am till ........... Look for the guy or guys with hardboots. Jesse
  6. Teach, If you're ever at Blue on a weekend morning track me down (you can usually find me with Chubz). I use the exact same boot in the same size. I'm not selling them, but you could see if they fit you. Just shoot me an e-mail if you're interested. Jesse
  7. Saturday and Sunday both had great conditions. I think I've road Challenge more this year than all of last year combined. Maybe its a combination of the new winch cat and all the blow over snow from Sidewinder, whatever it is keep it up. I did 9 out of my 10 runs on Challenge today. After grinding out headwall to headwall and riding 4 days staight my legs were cooked. Called it a day early, but still left with a big grin on my face. Enjoy the empty slopes this week guys. Hope to see someone out next weekend. Jesse
  8. New Year's eve morning was a slow drive to the mountain. Conditions we not great for hard carving, but was fun for just tooling around. Ran into a couple Yardley bros and may a few runs with them. The Yardley clan will be heading up to ECES, I forgot to ask it Mike would be joining them. ECES looks to be quite the shin dig. New Year's day was a carver's paradise (for the first two hours at least). Trails were empty, wall to wall groom and that magical stuff they call hero snow. Challenge was sweeettttt for the first hour and then ran Raceway/Midway/Main the rest of the session. Opened a 2/3 wide Razor at 10am and it was almost as bad as last years opening. The cookie monster would have loved it though! Funning thing that happened is that they closed it at 11 and started grooming again. Way to go Blue, that must be a first. Happy New Year!!!!!!! Jesse
  9. Heading out tomorrow morning and New Year day morning. I'll post a holiday report soon.
  10. All I have to say about conditions this morning is :D !!!!!!! Nice turns JP, I had fun riding with you again. Chubz, you better have a good excuse for not showing up today. Now will I have legs left for tomorrow or should I save them for X-Mass eve. JBS out.....
  11. It's on!!!!! Great conditions this morning. Had one of those days that I had to drag myself off the hill. Main Street was wall to wall goodness (well at least upper Main). Lazy was just that, lazy carves all the way down to a hard, hardpack Falls. The run of the day was Race Way down to Midway; turn, turn, rip, launch, turn, turn, rip launch & repeat !!!! I have a feeling Tuesday will be even better. Any takers????!!!!!
  12. I'll be heading to Blue for first turns on Friday (11th). I don't think much more will be open, but conditions should be a big improvement over Sunday. Chubz, if you've been out this week post a condition report. I don't know what stick to bring tomorrow. Jesse
  13. On the bright side it was not the worst conditions I've every ridden at Blue, but Main St. does rank in the top 5 crappy days. It was fun making (more like trying to make) turns with the "Thin Man" again. Now on Friday lets minus the baby sized death cookies and snow craters-- OK. That was some hairy ****! See ya on the snow Friday...
  14. [/b]Well it is official, ole' Blue will be opening on December 17th!!!! I'm bumming; before the rain this week they had planned to open on the 11th. I'm almost tempted to run up to JF or CB this weekend to get my fix. If they have any specials I might make the drive. (I just can not justify paying $50 to ride a handful of runs) Use this thread to post updates, condition reports and ongoing sessions throughout the season. To start:::: if the opening date is solid I'll be making my first turns on the 18th (have to take a weekend break and spend some quality time with my lady) and then ride the whole week up until X-mass (if my legs can last). If anyone wants to meet up please post. Prediction # 1 I will have a "reason" to ride my powder board at least twice this year at Blue. This will equal the total number of times I have actually needed a pow board at Blue. It will not be because I broke a binding, like last year. I can still see Greg just looking and my crappy soft setup and just shaking his head in disgust. Keep thinking snow See ya in the ruts.... Jesse

jp, Kyle, new cat to the LV club did the video. It is amazing how much smaller and tamer water looks on screen. I did the Brodhead a month ago and had seen the drops on youtube before I paddled it. The 5' drop on youtube looked and felt about 12' as you were actually going over it.

Greg, W-F sounds perfect to me, as long as we do not get in too late Tuesday night. Give me a call to discuss details and logistics..... Here is how I spent my last weekend. I pop in about a minute into it, orange playboat, red helmet and blue drytop. Small surf, but still fun.

Greg and John, Happy to see everyone turning their thoughts towards snow. I agree about Blue's season pass price this year. I thought there was no way they would raise it over last year, but was I wrong! I would gladly give up the10% food discount and free tubing if they would know off a few $$$. Greg I think my legs might have to wait until the season starts. I can not seem to keep out of the water during my free time. See ya in the ruts.... Jesse
  18. Funny, make that four people. I snapped the same part at Buttermilk at SES and also Frankenseined my boot. The shop guy just walked me to their tool section and said have at it. When I got home I added some washers and loctite. Rode the rest of the season with no problems.
  19. Make some turns for me! :D My season ended Saturday when I hit moving water for the first time this year. I even waxed and put the boards in summer storage last night. (last year I waited till June, wishful thinking I guess) If you get bored driving for snow just drop me a line. I have a boat laying around that you might have some fun in. Keep turning, Jesse
  20. It is official, Blue's last day will be Sunday (22nd). Come one and all for the last turns of this season at Blue :( Blue's pond skimming is on Sunday: Pond Skimming Contest Sunday March 22nd Registration 10:00 am to 12:00 pm – Summit Lodge. Event is located on Vista. Skimming starts at 1:00 pm. Contestants will receive two chances to make it across the pond. The first 100 contestant who successfully cross the pond will receive a t-shirt. I should be out early both Sat and Sunday. See ya in the slush, Jesse

Had a great time riding and watching everyone make some nice turns. Looking forward to doing it again. Just an FYI for anyone riding on Friday (13th). Parkland school district does not have school. So watch out. Jesse
  22. Just double checking to make sure there are going to be carvers willing to play tomorrow? I have the option to bag the 6th and do the 13th instead, but I can not do both. Yes it is suppose to get up to 50 tomorrow, but there is only a very slight chance (less than 20%) for the wet stuff. One thing good thing about the warm weather is that the hill will be empty. So whose is going to play? Jesse
  23. Chubz. Should we call a date on this mother?
  24. Lots of interest, but hardly any votes. Even if you're only thinking about coming please place a vote. Thanks.....
