  1. I'm unimpressed. The thing is backwards. Front wheels do more work under cornering and braking, so the thing should have the two wheels in front.
  2. Dibs! Let's talk in a few months, after I recover from April 15th...
  3. Madd 158 - check Coiler Schtubby 170 - check Madd 180 - check wish list: Donek TB 205 - 18.5m radius - ludicrous speed!! Virus Gladiator Zylon - just because.
  4. Yeah, gimme the VIN. You can run a free "report" but all it tells you is the number of records for the vehicle. No other details.
  5. EB reads/lurks here regularly. But, like the guru he is, you have to seek him out for the goods - and pay for them. This is his winter career, he's not giving it away for free online to an audience that on average won't appreciate it. And he may tell you things you've never heard before, and that you may not want to hear. (your bindings are too soft, your boots are too big/soft, your footbeds are worthless, your canting/lifting/stance is all wrong, your board is too wide/narrow/stiff/soft, you're trying to be too stylie, you think you're crossing-under but you're just not, etc.) But I assure you, nobody has thought about carving more than him.
  6. JB - multiple accounts, especially for purposes of trolling and flaming, are not allowed. Which one do you want banned? Feel free to email your choice. http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?t=8944
  7. Thanks Phil, care to elaborate on the differences? Heh, well, I still have my Madd 158 (18cm) and Madd 180 (19cm). My Coiler Safari 170 is 21cm and I'm loving the width - feels like a snowboard again! However I think 18cm still works for the 158, it's so quick and such a different animal. 18cm isn't versatile, but neither is any 158 anyway. 19cm is pretty good on the 180. No desire to sell either of those boards, they still have very important places in my quiver. I think for a longer board like 180+, I'd get a 20cm waist just to save some board weight compared to 21cm.

    hey fin!

It's online. www.bomberonline.com Not trying to be flip, a lot of people don't realize there's more to this site than the forum. Check out the Bomber Files and Tech Articles for articles and the Gallery for photos and video. Yeah, it's not periodical, but nobody seems to want to write on a regular basis. A magazine gets suggested every year. It never happens. If Snowboard Journal couldn't make it...
  9. come on Mirror... you work (worked?) at Sugarloaf. You seem like a nice guy in person. If you hadn't mysteriously gone into hiding at the ECES, you would have met Bordy and learned that he is real. Re-reading your post, calling out Bordy for not being top-10 in the world.... that's lower than whale sh!t. At least he had the sack to commit his life to it and throw himself in the ring. I don't ever recall Bordy claiming to be a top level racer. Just someone who has lots of experience in the racing/freecarving/snowboarding world. Which is true.
  10. Donek Blade, 180 stiff. http://www.donek.com/01_products/blade.htm Ignore the fatbob, doughboy, they're freestyle boards.
  11. Phil, I'll ask a serious question. What's the matter with Coiler metals? Just took delivery of my first a month ago, and it is exquisite. I really think he's on to something.
  12. it was only a matter of time. :) It will have active suspension, nano-adjustable cant/lift, combination boot warmer/sole de-icer, and the piece de resistance, a blue-tooth data acquisition module with GPS, thermometer, altimeter, and g-load sensor.
  13. delicious! and the name reminds me of one of shred's boards!
  14. Aye, but my kids vote for kjl. K, don't you work for Pixar? Cars was a damn good movie, no matter how old you are!
  15. I got a 30 day unlimited subscription ($30  ) email me.
  16. Yeah, $60 delivered from snowboardmaterials.com. Is there any reason to have stock graphics ever again? Me thinks no.
  17. Nice! Take a pic with the bindings on so we can see how it all lines up. Looks like it probably works, but it could be tight. It bums me out when cool graphics get covered by bindings. Had an equally pleasing experience with snowboardmaterials.com and Coiler earlier this year.... you can see my baby here: http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?t=20350
  18. so far, fully one third of us are geeks.
  19. you know how I know you're gay?
  20. A thousand pardons to the Education industry... ran out of options. Please choose "other white collar". I guess. Someone responded to this poll on the other forum.... "paid internet browser".
