  1. Any last minute decisions to come to the SES? We have filled one bedroom and still have room for one or one couple. We can provide rides to and from the area too. 8 nights = 550.00 + 20.00 cleaning deposit.
  2. If you have not found and paid yet for lodging for the SES, Sean Martin (Donek) and my self have just today ended up with room for at least 2 in a 4 bedroom house in the Carbondale area. Cost would be 550.00 each for 8 nights. We are getting there on Friday the 3rd late and leaving early on the 11th, Saturday. Let me know with a reply or leave a message @ (208) 384-9231 thanks, kenny tower
  3. Stands for high tibial osteotomy. Google it.I had this done about 14 years ago to unload the medial part of my left knee and just now am on the Synvisc to try to get more time out of my knee. I will be 60 in about one week. Check with a sports medicine doc on this to see if you are a candidate. <o></o><o></o> Squatting and kneeling are the worst things you can do to your knees to wear them out.good luck
  4. I broke mine a couple of years ago from a compression/sudden stop. best advice is get a lace up support from the pharmacy and use it getting to the doc. I made it through two airports with help and to my sports medicine ortho dock and was lucky enough not to need surgery. In my case I think the lace on brace helped keep everything in place. Thank you for that Scott. Kept using the lace on thing with the big black immobilizing boot for six weeks and then good to go. Taking more risk may mean surgery if you are lucky enough to have the bone back in alignment now.
  5. this is on a Donek GS Race (MacCarron 07b 168 GS Race) taken Feb 8, 2009 just after 11:AM
  6. And I thank you too Shawn. noschoolrider is speaking for me. Good job Shawn! Thank you Tae as well for your clarification. And yes Tae, I may have ridden the lift with you as I do tele and ride a Burner on occasion.
  7. It was fun to see some familiar faces making some nice turns on the mountain and to meet some new riders and get acquainted with some others I have admired. I could not however make the last day because I have to say that I am a bit embarrassed about the conduct of a few riders that came to the session and have in my book left a very black mark on the hard booting community. <O:p</O:p Has the rider that took out Max fessed up? It was nice of you say you were off to get the ski patrol for her, but the right thing to do would have been to follow up and come back to say that you were sorry for dislocating her shoulder. <O:p</O:p shawndoggy, you still need to make an official apology for taking out Jamie. Did you even stop long enough to see if she was alright let alone how bad you might have or did hurt her? “oops. my bad” in the video you were asked to remove from this thread just does not cut it for me and some of the others. <O:p</O:p The last part of my rant is for the rider that premeditated the use of a small class of intermediate skiers being led by an instructor, as a human slalom course, and deliberately carve between each one of them. What an inconsiderate a$$. If you need some recognition by others please find another way to get it. <O:p</O:p I am sorry to say that I feel the OES was a little, or maybe greatly marred by the actions of a few. <O:p</O:p Now I am off to put on my flame proof suit and pretend that this thread does not exist.
  8. 178 GS race, send me an email if you are interested and I will get in touch about it. kt
  9. What kind of ugly stick did you hit? I guess a little makeup and TLC she might let you back on. Sorry man, had some beer earlier.................
  10. Looking at you current boards, I am not sure if you will or will not like it. They do come alive at speed. Send me an email off line and I will explain better. kt
  11. I cannot verify these facts but this is what was passed along to me about the Carver: Features a 2 cylinder motor from BMW. Body is carbon fiber. <O:p</O:pCost: $17,897 Top of line $24,645 Can be used in either right hand (<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comUSA</st1:country-region>) or left hand (<st1:country-region w:st="on"><ST1:pEngland</ST1:p</st1:country-region>). Top speed on test track. 270 KPH. 88 miles per gallon on regular gas highway on sustained test drive. 68 mpg in city. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1Z0dBPEJd8 kt
  12. Awesome production. Great story, great music I have been working way to much and not looking at this site. Still getting my days in mind you. See you all next time. kt
  13. You are on for that (if you still have them when/if I make it). You see I have a Coiler slalom board up there apparently making turns under someone else’s feet and I would like to at least see it again. I would most likely stay over at least 2 week days while there as well as the weekend. thanks, kt
  14. I will stay in touch. May go to Schwietzer some time soon to ride with a friend. I have to check the last days at my local hills to see about timmig of Silver or Schwietzer kt
  15. Jule's is very welcome. Does Kevin still need a board or is he OK with what he found? I will not be in McCall until next week so I cannot send him one until then. Snowing again and I go work hard now. kt
