  1. Riiiiight. Actually Sugarloaf opened in mid November, and I hear conditions are pretty decent. Just haven't pulled it together yet for the first tracks. It's a little different with a family in tow.
  2. Nope, not mocking, as AFAIK this doesn't exist for snowboarding. So, right on! But advanced/expert level ski lessons are all about carving.
  3. Cool, but... isn't that the whole point of ski school? For skiing anyway.
  4. Yeah Nekdut, you're probably right about what happens after you add everyone. I'm not addicted at all, and am quite delinquent in updating mine. So what do we get for joining the Bomber group? Still can't look at anyone's profile in there.
  5. I'm on there, but I have it pretty locked down. friends only. I'll join the bomber group. what the hell.
  6. I barely have time to see/keep in touch with my real friends, let a lone keep up with randoms from highschool, etc. It's a neat tool though if used properly. Updating your status from your phone/crackberry on an hourly basis is losery.

    Auto Bailout

47k miles and it drives like new. seriously. not a rattle or a squeek anywhere. it's uncanny. and it was a lot cheaper than you might think - got it used.
  8. If you're hunting the classifieds, watch for a used Axxess (aka Axis), Swoard, 4WD (aka 4x4), or Burton Speed 168. Those are all wide. I wouldn't go shorter than 168.
  9. wait a sec... this does not compute... you're carving it up in North Carolina, and I haven't ridden yet in Maine? wtf.
  10. indeed it is very nice... but did you see the Safari? Geoff, you forgot to mention you own a Triumph Daytona 675!
  11. Donek Blade 180 Stiff. http://www.donek.com/specs.htm That will work well at Sunapee. And seriously, at your size don't waste your time with any plastic bindings like F2, Burton, Ibex, etc. Of course I recommend Bomber TD3, but you can find TD2s now in the classifieds for a good price. you can thank me later. :D
  12. Cool, I went from 20 to 21cm waist at the last minute and I'm glad I did. Running 57 degree angles feels like snowboarding again. Bruce had said that my board was 171, but when Shred and I held our boards up to compare, mine was indeed 1cm shorter! *shrug* Bordy's 175 sounds cool for more GS speed. I also have a 16m board so I wanted to stay around 14 for my custom.
  13. Nope, mine is 170cm, 14.2m radius, 21cm waist. X2 is 171cm, 13.2m, 20cm.
  14. Welcome! Check our Ride Board too.
  15. Cool, so it's an X2+2! nice tron reference. nerd! ;)
  16. Welcome home, friend! I agree, whenever I use my softboots now, I'm reminded of why I hardboot. Get some moldable liners for your hardboots, some custom footbeds, and you'll be stylin'.
  17. I have to assume kjl's graphics are custom. A lot of us are using snowboardmaterials.com. For like $60 shipped for a topsheet, why the heck not?? I'll never have stock graphics again!
  18. this thread is like that scene in The Right Stuff. Bob I think if you died you'd still be one of our top 5 posters for about 2 years post-mortem.
  19. Nice graphics! Kinda has an Atari look. Did you go X2 or M-spec or custom?
  20. I think the novelty of BOL simply wore off for him, and he's super busy photographing the Suicide Girls and other scantily clad and/or naked hot chicks with ink. We touch base every now and then. He's a rockstar photog, living the dream.
  21. Glad you like the 181! Keep in mind the Madd 170 is 18cm wide. You'll be at like 70+ degrees with your gunboats. I think you'll have a lot more fun on something wider. I'd vote for a Prior WCR169 or Donek FC171-II. Coiler rules too, but the wait might be too long. I'm not a fan of any non-custom All-Mtn carving boards because the sidecuts are all too short for their lengths, IMO.
