  1. I had not heard of the vein tracing and taping method before, I will definitely have to look into that! How effective would that be on my current intuitions? My other thought is money is a bit tight right now so if I could push it off until later that would be great.
  2. So the shels themselves are actually molded too? Interesting. Wonder if that might help too as the upzs while have better heel hold for me than the deeluxe, they don't have much space over the instep. Also sounds like rumors are true that foam is cold. Would definitely need to take into budgeting heated socks/footbeds. Rather not as I know my feet get cold before anything else. What zipfits did you get? Anyone been riding the zipfits for an extended period of time? Wondering how many seasons I can expect from them and regular fitting returns to consider.
  3. Yeah I had then professionally done when I special ordered them. Toe caps (I have zero toe squshing problems) and smashed the hell out of the top of the wrap over the instep to make as much space as possible. As I mentioned, it's a huge improvement over previous trials and errors, but still have not found that "fits like a snug slipper" feel yet. I agree it seems to be pinching still, usually only happens on the mountain (not while wearing at home) and after an hour or so when it's cold is when I start noticing it. Warmer conditions it takes longer.
  4. So I have spent a lot of time trying to get my feet happy and they are about 85% there. Stance is dialed in nicely, upgraded the upz boots to the newer buckles, custom footbeds. Biggest issue I've had is with the fit of the liner. I put in many hours trying numerous liners and other options and eventually made my way to the intuition pro wrap. My specific issue is that I have a narrow heel and high arches/instep. Too loose and my heel lifts, but just beyond that it gets too tight and I restrict circulation to my toes. My pro wrap which I got beginning of last season I can already feel packing out and while it is much better than anything else I've tried it is still not perfect. In colder weather or if I tighten just a bit further my toes go numb and it is not uncommon to have to take a break. So I am thinking of upgrading to something completely custom later this season. I am a bit concerned on a couple things though and am seeking recommendations. What is out there? I am currently thinking zip-fits but am not sure I'd there might be something better What stiffness is considered good on average for carving? Is this actually likely to fix the issue completely or am I probably at the point of diminishing returns? I've heard some custom liners like injected foam are super cold. How do zipfits or others compair to intuitions? How long do they tend to hold up/ until they pack out? Can they be refit to new boots or after they pack out? Thanks for your responses!
  5. That's sortof what I was expecting, thanks for the report! I will be sure to pack the butter wax then for when it warms up and is sticky.
  6. Not that I want to take away from the interest in MCC but it's just not in the cards for me to go this year. I did free up my schedule and might spend a few of those days at June. Anyone want to meet up there? It'd be fun to do a little SNES but I don't want to split the community.
  7. Anyone been recently? Plan on doing a day trip this Wednesday Dec 18th.
  8. Just went up the other day for a last minute trip, snow conditions were good! Lots of coverage, pretty much everything open. Plan on headingback up after the new year!
  9. Boots and bindings still available! Helmet pending sale, the add on tape has been cleaned off. Make me an offer!
  10. I go back and forth with music. It is definitely true it can stop you from overthinking if you let it, but then again I often drive without listening to music simply because I don't feel like it... I know, I'm weird. But I did just got the Outdoor Tech Chips (https://www.amazon.com/Outdoor-Universal-Bluetooth-Walkie-Talkie-OT0052/dp/B01KZSRB1W) at the end of last season and modded my helmet liner to fit them. Looking forward to trying them out, and as a bonus they work as a 2 way radio over cell service if anyone else has got them which could come in handy
  11. Looks like most others have hit the main points I would suggest having been in a similar situation: 1: Moldable liners. High volume ones for your case. 2: Foot beds. In my case they have been the single most useful thing for my feet, but I had many more issues than it seems you have. 3: Sort of mentioned but not really, you can get (or make) boot shims, not sure if they have a technical name. they are sort of like foot beds but completely flat, they can go between your shell and liner, or under your foot bed in the liner. They just serve to take up space under foot. I am sure you can also come up with a creative solution for one around your shins if you have extra space there specifically. This is the cheapest option, but I would personally focus on liners and footbeds first if you can afford it.
  12. Think I found it... It just needs to come find me now!
  13. PMs sent... Did not realize I was not following my own thread haha.
  14. I believe it was built for a 175ish lb rider. That is about what I am at and it worked well for me. And I was thinking maybe around $150 +shipping? I am open to offers!
  15. Dog days of summer/ next season anticipation bump!
  16. Curious as to how it is holding up! Chair 1 still open?
  17. Update from yesterday, @Ldbaustria I'm not sure if the bottom of stump will be open, coverage went down on skiers right. If it is it may be narrow and they will have to move some snow around to make it happen. Broadway should be open though. Rode a chair up with one of the racers training there, sounds like they are there for another week or so. They were from all over the US, Canada, and even someone from Europe. Did not sound like it was any one thing in particular that they were training for. Either way, again very cool to see all of them ride being national level athletes.
  18. Conditions were typical spring today. Chair 2 was fine for a few runs in the morning, then when they started running the cat on it it got variable, and I switched to Broadway. Bottom of stump is getting low on coverage in some places but it is really either a dirt patch or snow, not really a "yeah its snow..." with rocks everywhere which is good. There were a whole bunch of racer hard booters (atleast 10) though doing training, so that was fun to watch. Saw 1 other hardbooter too. Heres a quick vid from today. Not my best run, and first time trying to hold a gopro so sorry its not a great video. I also realized my color temp was off which I was able to fix a little in post, and camera was set to linear instead of wide so not the best. https://youtu.be/4j-6jGQj1Eg
  19. Will be at mammoth on Mon and Tues, June 24th and 25th. Anyone around?
  20. Looks like stump is still open? Good, will be there Mon and Tues (24 and 25th)!
